We strolled the beach every day and enjoyed looking for shells. We also rented bikes and rode all over the island. We never ate a meal at the same place because we wanted to try as many places as possible and we were never disappointed. We found the condo very neat and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. This was a great place to relax and have some fun.

This is our second time staying at Loggerhead Cay. The property is outstanding! Beautiful, maintained pool. Our unit was a bit dated, as the bathrooms need updated as well as some of the living room furniture but it did not distract from our vacation.

The complex was in a great location. The ocean and pool were amazing. The condo was nice it had a very well supplied kitchen, beach chairs, floats and an beach umbrella. It needed a good deal clean and the light and fan in the second bedroom bath would work sometimes but not work other times. The exhaust fan in that bathroom was louder then loud. Over all after we vacuumed and wiped off the counters it was a great vacation.

Traveling to Florida via road trip we stayed at several hotels along the way that were cleaner and in better repair for one-third of the cost. The furniture was as pictured but old and uncomfortable. The location and pool were the main selling points but the value for those things was way out of line. We have been coming to Sanibel for 35 years and this is the first negative experience that we have had.The carpets were stained and refrigerator was dirty. The cookware should have been discarded long ago since it the coating on the pots were worn away. The washing machine was ridiculously loud and the dishwasher did not work. properly. The management blamed the owner and we were not able to connect with the owner. According to the management the return of the security deposit is held for another month in case we purchased movies. I believe that the rentals could be checked before the bill arrived. Last but not least, I walked out of the bathroom to find a man standing in the condo. He said he was measuring for new windows. His shirt said, Sanibel Glass. We should have been notified if work was going to performed. Poor communication or something else?

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the Loggerhead Cay facility, location, tennis courts for pickle ball, pool and its grassy courtyard. This unit however is a little tired. The washing machine needs to be replaced immediately as the spin cycle is excessively loud. We couldn't carry on a conversation while in the unit - it could be heard in the parking lot two floors down! The smaller bedroom has peeling paint on the ceiling and one twin bed has a stain on the box spring. The smaller bathroom's shower had some black material (mold?) on the inside of the shower at the floor - so this needs either a deep cleaning and/or caulk removal and replacement. The kitchen's pantry has a rollout drawer that is broken. Overall, we really enjoyed Loggerhead, it's just that this unit needs some updating. We wouldn't consider this unit again unless some updating occurred.

A few things that might be taken care of are: removing cracked bowls, platter in the kitchen. The light outside the master bedroom did not work. The lamps on either side of the bed plugged into the outlet behind the bed did not work so we plugged them into the outlets beside the bed. Was this a fuse problem? The twin bed mattresses were not comfortable. The pool was great as one could swim laps.

The location was perfect and development well maintained. Next visit we will rent another condo but will look for one a little less dated and a bit more "feel good." Loggerhead 263 was fine and met our needs, but clearly needs some TLC.

They come to visit often while we are here and enjoy the life on the Island when they come!
