It was a beautiful place to watch the meteor shower.

We booked the Laurelwood for an anniversary trip. It was ready as expected. Great space for the two of us. It was secluded enough were we didn’t see others at the Chalets. But also very close to Old Man’s cave. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy weekend getaway.

Beautiful and clean cabin. We loved the hot tub after our days of hiking. You feel secluded and our dogs had plenty of room to run around. Our daughter enjoyed swimming at the pool which was a walkable distance from this cabin. We would definitely recommend this place and plan to go back in the future.

Check in was easy with an access code. Loved the hot tub and porch. Really allowed us to enjoy the outdoors in addition to being comfortable inside. Great location!

This was probably the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed in! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Very secluded and private but with great access to the park and other destinations.

We were unable to come due to becoming ill with Covid. Disappointed that there was not a partial refund available. Cleaning fee?

We wanted to surprise our mom with a girls trip to Hocking Hills State Park. We decided on a cabin, after looking through many we came across this cabin. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It was the perfect size for the 4 of us. The hot tub was wonderful. Our mom loved every minute of our trip and the downtime playing board games and cards. Very close to some of the trails to hike. Will definetely come back and book a cabin with Hocking Hills Chalets.

This cabin was exactly as advertised. There were only two of us in addition to our 7 year old boxer and the cabin was perfect. 4 people would likely be the most you'd want here unless some are small children and don't mind some creative sleeping accommodations. The loft area is nice although we didn't use it but as it mentions in the description it has fairly steep ladder/steps so if thats not your thing keep that in mind. Overall I would recommend this cabin in particular as well as the chalets as far as a company goes. They make the process very easy and are right there to help if any issues arise.

We decided to take a late winter break from Columbus and head down to the Hocking area. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The fact that it was also pet friendly was a huge plus. The kitchen had what we needed to cook up a few great meals and our time spent relaxing was just what we needed.

The property was cute and peaceful. Not as private as some other places I've stayed as you could see other cabins from the property. This was not a big issue as everyone was respectful and stayed to themselves. The property was well managed with staff on-site, which offers increased security and safety. I'm assuming it has well water because there was a faint sulfur smell to the water, which is very common in this area, so would recommend bringing bottled water for drinking and cooking.
The bed was fairly comfortable and the living room quite cozy. Overall, it was a delightful stay.

Pros:
- The cabin is in a great overall location. You're less than two miles from Hocking Hills State Park and loads of trails and Old Man's Cave.
- The hot tub was very nice and worked well.
- The beds were very comfortable.
Cons:
- The wifi/internet is a joke. On the day of check-in, you're told that the wifi is 3 mbps and should only be used to operate one device. My husband and I both needed to work, and I intentionally only looked at listings that had WiFi. Luckily, we were able to use a hotspot from our phones to log into our computers b/c the internet speed wasn't even enough to log onto my email.
- Along the same lines the TV is very small and while it was a 'smart tv' none of the smart features could be used b/c of the poor internet. It was too slow to load Netflix or to use Airplay to load from my phone.
- There were two washcloths for the whole cabin to use (advertised to be able to sleep 4).
- There were no napkins or paper towels of any kind. It did state that on what I should bring (which I realized after checking in), but I definitely expected at least a roll of paper towels for what we paid.
- The fireplace worked intermittently and would go out after about 10-15 minutes and then kick back on 20 or so minutes later. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it.
- While the cabin is somewhat private, there are other cabins nearby and we heard noise/partying late into the evening a few of the nights that we were there, which was pretty annoying.
- There is an envelope from the cleaning staff asking for tips upon check-in. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I found that pretty off-putting. Yes, the place was nice upon check-in, but shouldn't that be expected? We did not receive (or expect) any cleaning service during the stay, and we left the place clean upon check-out.
Bottom line - the place is nice but a disappointment considering the extremely high price we paid to stay four nights, and frankly I would expect at the rates we were charged that more basic amenities would have been included/operational.

Property was clean upon arrival. It met the needs we were hoping for, small and comfortable. Maybe our only complaint would be that the bed mattress was very firm and therefore we did not have the most comfortable nights sleep. Facility and surrounding area lost most on our last evening. Management was no where to be found as there office closed in the evening. Tried calling property manager and left a voicemail to which we never received a call back. This was on the last night of our stay so we just headed home before dark so we still had some daylight to pack.

Cute cabin .easy to find ..wish we would have had a gad grill , wifi didn't work and the got tub lea
Good experience but for the price I expect every available option to work
