The cottage is as relaxing as it can be. We sat on deck in the morning and watched the parade of folks going to the beach through the trees. It’s a quick trip … 8 blocks to center st. I recommend the cottage for a weekend away with no worries!

The cottage was perfect! Close to the beach but felt secluded with all the trees around the amazing front deck!

We loved the “hide away” and privacy of the house.. outdoor lighting , deck was super cozy Nice decor touches inside and out.. loved the retro fridge and mini sink in bathroom… felt very homey and had everything we needed! Very dog friendly … and the sunroom was everyones favorite spot! This rental is perfect for 2 people and dogs! Very close to beach and easy to rinse off dogs at front door shower! We will stay again! The house is nice enough. It's very small, but it's what you would expect from the listing. However, don't be fooled by the claim of a fenced in yard. The fence is in disrepair to the point that my dog got out through a hole in the fence, and the gates are held together with bungee cords. The major issues were with the property owner himself. He came onto the property, unannounced, multiple times throughout our stay to put the trash cans out by the curb, and who knows what else. We were not told that he would be coming onto the property, nor were we given a heads up that he was there. We just noticed things moved around with no explanation. The biggest issue was that on our last day, a pest control service came and started spraying the property without our knowledge. Chemicals were sprayed on our stuff and we had to deal with a big hassle. A word of advice, don't book this property expecting privacy or consideration. It basically feels like paying thousands of dollars to be an unappreciated house guest. Go somewhere else, and you'll have a better trip.

Great little house with an awesome deck. Would definitely stay here again. A true beach cottage where you spend all your time outside and have the house only to shower and sleep. Had everything we needed for our brief stay on Mother's Day.

Me & my two friends had a wonderful experience staying here! Such a quick walk to the beach & an easy walk to town for the perfect location for our needs. Enjoyed the sunroom & front porch we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. A must book!

The deck area is really dirty. The yard is a mess. There are squirrels in the attic that run around during the night. The lights flicker. The shower has mold. It needs heavy cleaning.

This was the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway for my spouse and I, it is the perfect size for a weekend of rest and relaxation. In a perfect spot on the street for you to be secluded enough in the beautiful foliage and hammock to take it all in. This esthetically pleasing, quaint little house is a beautiful place to stay and we recommend it for a quick small family stay. We will definitely be back.

We loved the proximity to the beach access and the shops and restaurants. The house was adorable, and the owner was terrific - responsive and helpful! We would love to come back in the future.

Great time and plan to rent again in the future

Everything was exactly as we hoped. The home is small, but it was just my wife and I plus our Weimaraner Floyd and so felt cozy but not cramped. Folly Beach is beautiful and the weather was good for this time of year. Every place we went was dog friendly and we met a ton of fun people. Will definitely be going back!

Very easy to rent after we figured out how Vrbo works…. We are not very friendly with a computer 🤣🤪We are trying to figure when we can go back!!!! Precious place & the location is perfect!!! We are older folks & enoyed being in Folly & using your place !!!! We feel younger , now!!! THANKYOU!!!

We were happy to see how quiet this cabin was. It is a cute cabin with a very little kitchen and bath. The amenities of cable tv and lights around the huge deck added a nice touch. It would be wonderful for sitting outside in the spring or summer. I have a caveat to staying there however. As a retired couple, we were dismayed by how hard it is to climb up to actually access the cabin. The steps are all crumbled and it was a disaster waiting to happen for us. We made sure we stayed inside once it got dark as we didn't want to trip and fall.

Loved staying here. I really enjoyed my sunrise walks on the beach. I’ll be back!

Everything was perfect for our trip

I rented this property for my parent’s anniversary so that they could have a getaway together. They absolutely loved the coziness and privacy of this property. My dad even told me it was exactly what he would want if he lived at the beach. Perfect lot, close to the beach, and perfect for a little getaway for two. Bonus! They got to take their beloved boxer! My husband, teen son, and I stayed here for a long weekend in October for a friend's wedding on Folly beach. It was a perfect spot! Close to beach and far enough away from Folly central. The weather was perfect. It is a "wee" house, but we felt we had enough room. It was bigger than the pictures made it seem, especially with the cathedral ceiling in the main room. My son slept well on the air mattress (very easy to put up and take down each night.) And we slept well on the queen bed. Had all supplies we needed, except for maybe a pen and paper! Would definitely stay here again if we come to this area!

Wee Rest is a wonderful property for a beach getaway! It is very cozy and private yet a 4 minute walk to the beach. It is very comfortable with a beautiful outdoor space for grilling, outdoor dining and just hanging out. This was our 2nd time at Wee Rest and we plan on returning in the Spring!

We had a great week at the Wee Rest! The owners are very responsive and kind! The property is in a great neighborhood steps from the beach. You can walk to town easily and plenty of shade for dog walking! The only slight inconvenience we had was that the place is very small! We and our 2 medium dogs were almost too much for the space. Mostly we came straight in from the beach and went to bed so it wasn't a huge deal, and the huge deck is great. We still loved our stay and would say that 2 people alone or with small dogs would be quite comfy.

Great location, probably a five minute walk to beach. Can't really see neighbors, the property is located on a beach access road, so there might be a few people walking by every now and then. The property could use a little tlc, but most places do. Outside shower was amazing. Wish the gates to the house would close up. We had our dog but couldn't really let him outside, he loved the patio though, watching squirrels. There is a washer and dryer in the garage, but again, that garage could use a little cleaning. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We were here for an appointment at MUSC but always if possible go thru VRBO and it never disappoints! This little house was so cute and clean! Abby is there for anything you need and is an absolute Angel! The sound ofnthe ocean from the front porch is wonderful!
