Incredible view. House is very cosy and the kitchen has everything you need. If you're tall be mindful upstairs there are a few ceiling low spots.

Really enjoyed the location with direct access to the estuary! Beautiful views and wildlife!

Charming house with gorgeous estuary and ocean views. Very functional and well-supplied kitchen. Clean bathrooms and lots of towels, bedding. Cleaners could do a better job of vacuuming - some cobwebs and dead flies. Picked up some litter in front yard first day of stay.

We really enjoyed the historic house and location. Staying on the estuary was neat and seeing the birds and small fish and other creatures as the tides came in and out was lots of fun as well - especially for our nature-minded group. Paddle boarding was easy when the tide was in on the estuary. The glassed-in porch was a treasure that all enjoyed. The cooks kitchen was fabulously appointed and we enjoyed cooking in it. We would definitely stay here again for the location and the charm and Jodi has done a nice job of making it well appointed without feeling fussy. The bathrooms and the house were very clean for sure. The refrigerator was an exception and did not appear to have been recently wiped out, and I assume, an accidental oversight. I just wiped it out and moved on. I recommend that guests leave their shoes at the door in order to avoid tracking in prickly plant debris. We vacuumed a couple of time throughout the week and left our shoes at the entry. All enjoyed the hosts tips and the boardwalk and the nearby parks. We hope to come back again!

Our family really enjoyed staying at this beautiful waterfront home. The house was clean, the home was well stocked with all the essentials and the location was perfect! We spent every morning walking out along the estuary, days down the road walking through the promenade and evenings watching the sun set right out the back porch! Jodi was an amazing host and very quick with responding to our questions! Such a beautiful place to spend our family vacation!

This is a great location to get away for a quiet retreat. From the sun room you get a view of the ocean. The kitchen is nicely stocked and makes it easy to prepare meals. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets to stay warm. The family room has plenty of space to spread out and read a book or stream a movie. It's a nice walk into downtown Seaside.

We stayed here in 2014 and our family loved it so much they have talked for the last 9 years about the best vacation ever— so when my now adult daughter (she was 14 back then) suggested we get together for a special family celebration, we both immediately said we wanted to go to Seaside (from Texas). She was elated we could book the same house because the thing she wanted to do most was sit in the sun room and read a book like she did all those years ago. The house did not disappoint and we had a special time making memories again while reliving old ones — putting the crab traps out, watching the sun set and rise, and cooking together in the kitchen. Now, my adult son is saying it is his turn to go back! Jodi is a wonderful host, the house has everything one could need, and we would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area for unforgettable memories that are definitely worth driving 2000 miles to experience again!

Comfortable remodeled farmhouse feel with the walls, ceiling and floors covered with beautiful woodwork. Everything from the farm kitchen to the furnishings and decorations made this house a home.
So many windows allowed a panoramic view of the river and ocean. Jodi was a great host who was available and super helpful. My son and I had a very relaxing
long weekend.

Everything about our stay was perfect. I love the beach house. The view is unrivaled. It is the perfect place for a quiet escape from city life. Each evening I sat in the sunroom with a glass of wine, watching the herons and the sunset beyond the estuary and ocean. I can’t wait to go back..

Captains house sat on a hill. We opened the door into a farmhouse kitchen updated and ready for cooking. We enjoyed the views from the sunroom! Upstairs the rooms where clean but the doors didn’t latch well and the floors cracked. Downstairs TV room had dog hair on the rug which was easy enough to cleanup but wasn’t appreciated (since pets aren't allowed). The steps down from the house to the beach was a bonus. We had many hours playing and exploring. Fun was had by all.

The house is clean and well stocked for the location. The weather was perfect to explore the beach through the lense of tide all day. For our grandson, discovering the clams and crabs will be lasting memories we hope he will cherish. The saga of watching the make believe pirate ships slip through the morning fog from the sunroom will hopefully continue next summer. The rich library will be well suited for some rainy days in the fall. We all felt so privileged to have spent time in this historic home and hope to return.

Simply adorable cottage with large, clean rooms, lovely decor without being fussy or cluttered. Looking forward to another visit soon!

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful, historic home. Our only regret is that we did not allow for more time to spend just relaxing at the property itself. Gorgeous views and sunsets - house is very well equipped and owners have been very thoughtful in making this a wonderful place to visit.

Seaside retreat
We always enjoy staying at this very special historic home.
We enjoy the beautiful views, cozy house, nice neighbors and quiet neighborhood.
Little problems are not unusual in historic homes and we are used to those, that is normal. Having historic homes means
a little extra TLC and care. That is obvious in this home, lots of TLC and care.
The artist in the family comes home with a book filled with new watercolors and drawings. From morning until night the light is beautiful, be it a moody cloudy day or a bright sunny morning.
We always feel grateful to have time at Jodi's home.

We visited with a teenager and two dogs and this beach house was perfect! The house is absolutely beautiful and I love the historic feeling of the property. The beach feels really private, and our dogs had a blast chasing ball and exploring. The host was excellent and even allowed us to check in early on our arrival date. Plus, the kitchen had everything we needed, and much more. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful Location
We stayed in October and was great to see the fall foliage and look straight out to the Estuary. The sunroom is a great place to watch the tides go in/out, and just relax. 2 Bald Eagles came and sat in a tree on the property for an added treat. Already planning our return trip!

This homey property is ideally located in a beautiful setting and extremely well equipped (games/fishing gear/terrific laundry/great kitchen/books) except for some basics. For instance, bedroom doors wouldn’t close or lock/almost nowhere to hang towels/ no functioning lightbulbs in several fixtures/not one window on the first floor would open. Overall, though, it is a good place in a GORGEOUS setting.

Jodi was a great host- friendly, highly responsive, and super helpful. The house was perfect. A quaint, old fashioned beach house with modern conveniences. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, as well as a great work from home area. We loved the views and had so much fun exploring the estuary. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a great stay!

I spent a week here in July with my husband and 2 elementary-aged children. We had a fantastic time. The house was a perfect place to relax, watch the tides roll in and out, listen to the waves crashing, and enjoy the view from the incredible sun room. The kitchen was well-stocked. The beds were comfortable. There was enough space for us all to spread out if we needed down time. We loved it here so much!

Very nice 1905 property. But bedrooms are up narrow old stairs. Not for guests like say my parents who are later 70's who have knee issues and not as agile and coordinated as they once were. They thankfully were not there. Windows like most old homes are painted shut so with odd heat wave it was very warm in the house. We had a great time overall.

Amazing property with the original 1905 charm. Sitting in the sun room overlooking the river and ocean takes you back in time.

This house was just what the doctor ordered. Nicely equipped with all that we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful view out over the inlet: such a great beachside location with smaller kids. House is located on the hill, so have to walk down stairs to get to the beach. But once on beach it is flat and inland a bit so was out of the main Oregon beach wind gusts.Pictures seem to actually present house. Older style, with some nice upgrades. Only odd thing is no shower on second floor where all the bedrooms are at, so had to go downstairs to shower. Wasn’t an issue, and the bath upstairs was perfect for the kids. Fun to have the clam guns and some beach toys available for use. There are lots of items left for communal use that made us think we had come to someone’s actual home :-)We quite enjoyed our stay, and look forward to the next time we get to escape the city to stay again!

It's virtually impossible to describe how wonderful this house, its location, and Jodi (the manager) made our first vacation since the pandemic. First, we stayed at the end of February 2021 and the house in Winter was spectacular as it looks out over tidal rivers with ocean surf pounding in the distance. Saw countless shorebirds, including Bald Eagles catching fish in the river directly behind the house. Then, the house itself is charming and full of character. It's scrupulously clean, and fitted out with an incredible array of high-quality kitchen equipment and utensils, plenty to keep any serious chef happy. The furniture, towels, and bedding were equal to luxury hotels, along with wifi and AppleTv we couldn't ask for anything moreAnd lastly but maybe most importantly, we can't sing the praises of Jodi the manager enough. She worked with us on scheduling issues we had, and then was immediately available, pleasant, and helpful with our one-and-only question. We are already planning our next trip there with our entire family this time.

What a breath of fresh air (literally) in the middle of Seaside
Since the beginning of the pandemic we had not been out of Seattle, and we could have not chosen a better place to go for the 1st time out of the house in months. A beachfront, peaceful and quiet location with top safety guidelines were non-negotiable items, and we found them at this Seaside location. A beautiful house, spacious enough for both of us and our blind dog, Shania. She got to walk around freely around the house, by the beach just steps away from the house and even got her paws in the water. For us, those were priceless moments. We got to celebrate my husband's birthday for an entire week and even when we were working remotely, it did not feel like work at all with that beautiful view from the sunroom. Our host Jodi had an impeccable timing when we reached out to her and definitely made us feel in a home away from home. For that, we are grateful.
How is the best way I can summarize our experience there? Well, we are going back in May. Thank you, Jodi! :)

We loved the location! We could see and hear the ocean, but the wind was considerably less on the estuary. The house is old and quaint and we loved it! Very comfortable. The sunroom was spectacular to spend mornings and afternoons. Close to everything, yet so private when you get “home”.

Super adorable seaside cottage...everything you think about when you conjur images in your mind of a seaside fisherman's cottage. The views across the inlet out to the sea are bar-none, the sunsets are outrageous, and the home has been updated just barely--but in all the right ways. Still maintains its 1900s charm, but furniture, Apple TV, Sonos and a perfect kitchen make it just the right mix of authentic and comfortable. The town of Seaside itself isn't nearly as amazing as this house (and not a mask to be seen for miles upon miles), but who cares if--at least in the Covid era--you're not really leaving the house. So many wonderful memories of walks along Cannon Beach, clamming out in front of the house, and seafood BBQs overlooking the magnificent sunset. Truly a place to make memories!
