I ended up staying 1.5 months at Mountain and Moon. Anshu, Gaurav and Ajay were so accommodating, and each room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated being able to use the kitchen to access filtered water or the kettle to make a cup of tea. The location is wonderful, right on the doorstep of Dharamkot’s main cafes and a short 5 min walk to Tushita. For rainy days when you feel like staying in, room service from Ever Green is really good. This place felt like a home away from home, would definitely stay again.

Hot water geyser didn’t last long in some rooms. In high season the noise at night from weddings / Alt Life.

The food was some of the best I've had during my travels in India. The manager was very willing to help make the stay as enjoyable as possible.

I apparently came during peak tourist season, so it was a bit too crowded for me.

I loved this place- staff went out of their way to accommodate me and were very kind. The room was simple but excellent value for money and a great base from which to explore Dharamshala. I’ll be back

Such a comfortable stay that I extended for another week. The location is perfect next to many cafes and shops. The staff is wonderful and very eager to help with any needs you may have. The wifi works great. There is hot water but it doesn’t last long.

I stayed here in May. My room was significantly colder even than outside. I guess it’s possible to get a heater at an extra charge, but I found the blankets are warm enough for this time of year.

Good location, easy walks to get all around. The room had a lovely view, hot showers and a strong wifi. The staff was icredibly helpful: clear ten points to Gaurav & Ajay who gave me an access to filtered water and a kettle. The guest house doesn't have a shared kitchen as promised in the property description. Heating was only available for extra cost (the rainy days in March were absolutely freezing)! Bedlinen could be updated. Would've been nice to have filtered water and a kettle available in the common area for all the guests at all times.

The restaurant was very expensive compared to places a few minutes walk away . If the prices were lower I would have eaten there for sure. Example Porridge outside 70-90 rupees on Menu 220 rupees Same price as a cheap cafe in UK.

I love the room and hotel, it's clean, spacious and with a beautiful balcony and view of the valley. It has a perfect location in the middle of Dharamkot. close to cafés and trekking tracks. Since I arrived early season, they kindly upgraded me to a bigger room. After a few days I decided to stay for a full month. The staff is super-friendly, helpful and caring. They've helped me with everything I've needed such as receiving deliveries and giving me a heater to whether the March unexpected snow-storms. It feels like a home and I would love to come back again and again.

All the staff were really nice and helpful. They always pay attention to customers and try to help them. I was often asked if I needed something and they did the best for me. The property is clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed chilling out at the private balcony with nice view. it was great time to stay there.

It need some time for shower to be warmed up and it doesn’t last that long.

The owner is very kind and the guy at the reception always available. The room is very clean, bathroom with hot water. We really enjoyed our stay.

I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room had a great view and was very comfortable and clean. The partner restaurant, Evergreen, also had great food and perfect service. It also had a great location as it's close to Bhagsunag and also not far from Mcleodganj Main Square. They really care about the well being of the guests. I needed help buying bus ticket. The owner not only provided it for me but made sure everything went well until I had boarded. I definitely would stay there again!

I want to say a special thank to the host of the guest house - Mr.Anshu. He is very helpful, very caring and attentive from the very beginning I placed a booking. He helped me with taxi reservation, purchased bus ticket for me, called and clarified all the info from the bus company. I definitely recommend Mountain and Moon for guests who appreciate modest and affordable accommodation in a quiet place like Dharamkot village. Close to the guest house there is a lovely restaurant- Ever Green where you can taste dishes of Indian, Tibetan, European and Israel cuisines. Super cosy place with terrace overlooking mountains and nice owners👍! I enjoyed my stay very much! 🙏

if you are a European quality of cleaning standards oriented person, better buy or bring with you extra cleaning liquids and devices. Towels, bed linen are clean and smell fresh 👍! Someone like me just would like to do more qualitative wet cleaning.

Basic, but clean and comfy. Helpful staff. Only thing is that it's close to a yoga roof where they hold classes throughout the day and it's not so quiet. If you're not a light sleeper or you don't plan to stay in the room so much, then it shouldn't be an issue.

For the heater is an extra tax, not covered in the booking, is free in rainy and cloudy days. I, it seems is usual to rent a heater in this place.

perfect: the room, the location close to the coffee places/restaurants, shops and still quiet, the view, 5 mn from Tushita center meditation, tjhe food was excellent and the staff so nice, I really felt at home, perfect! will be back!
