Notre chalet est situé à la fin d'un cul de sac sur un paradis d'un acre avec des jardins magnifiquement conçus à Montecito. Situé à moins d'un mile de l'océan, le chalet de 700 pieds carrés dispose d'une belle salle de séjour avec foyer au gaz / bois, cuisine complète spacieuse, chambre confortable et salle de bain complète. 2 ensembles de portes françaises dans le salon s'ouvrent sur une grande terrasse couverte qui donne sur la cour arrière. Sur la terrasse couverte, vous trouverez un hamac relaxant, une petite table et des chaises et un barbecue. Un accès facile aux magasins, aux restaurants, à la plage et aux sentiers de randonnée en font l'endroit idéal pour une escapade semi-rurale. Le chalet dispose de tous les équipements modernes, y compris une cuisine entièrement équipée, télévision à écran plat, DVD, wi-fi, terrasse.

What an amazing stay we had at this beautiful little piece of heaven. Everything about it was wonderful. Nestled amongst towering eucalyptus trees and blooming bougainvillea and with a cool ocean breeze blowing during this heat wave, it was the perfect place to be. The decor, comfy bed, beautifully tiled bathroom, peaceful/quiet setting and outdoor living area complete with a nap-inducing hammock made it so relaxing! The hosts, Vicky and Gary, were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. So yep. You bet we’d recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay in beautiful Montecito CA. Thank you so much!

This cottage sits in a lovely landscape filled with birdsong. Beautifully crafted and comfortably furnished, it invites relaxation (hammock included). The hosts are wonderful and considerate, which shows in the many thoughtful details that make the cottage special.

While we have stayed in countless short term rentals in the U.S. and abroad, this one overall stands above the others. The casita was the perfect size for us and was well designed and decorated (including an awesome fireplace that uses either wood or gas. There is a large separate room off of the main living quarters where you can store bicycles, luggage etc. In addition, the cottage overlooks their beautiful gardens.which seems to always be in bloom.
The owners, Gary and Vicky, are super nice and helpful and we even went on several walks/hikes with them.
Finally, the location is perfect, close to the beach and mountains.
By all means, if the place is available -- GRAB IT!

A Little Slice of Heaven!
If you are a person who appreciates nature and attention to detail, I highly recommend Hedgerow. After staying in two busy SoCal beach towns, I loved the relative quiet of this property with its beautiful plantings and abundant bird sightings. Sleeping with the windows open and hearing the night sounds made for excellent rest (as did the comfortable bed and quality bedding). I really liked the location of this property; it’s easily accessible to the freeway, yet you can take a beautiful walk to Montecito Village in one direction or walk in the other direction to the local Miramar Beach. And of course downtown Santa Barbara is only about a 5 mile drive. Hosts Vicky and Gary are great, too; they’re available for anything you need but they give you lots of privacy. I was sad to leave, and I would love to stay here again!

The cottage was perfect for my needs. It was very comfortable, quiet and well- appointed. The owners were gracious, and available when needed. The location was close to everything in Montecito, and not far from Santa Barbara. Miramar Beach was less than a mile from the cottage.

We opted to stay a longer period this trip, 2 weeks, with one week as vacation and the second week as "stay at home" work. This was an excellent location to work from, quiet and peaceful, and the Internet performance was excellent allowing video conferencing calls to proceed smoothly. For those more interested in time away from work, the restful setting, full kitchen (should you prefer to prepare your meals), tastefully appointed interior and beautifully appointed landscape setting, will make it difficult to leave. The owners are very easy to work with and assured our stay was pleasant. We look forward to another stay in the near future!

Great place and hosts
We were here for a nine day stay visiting family in Santa Barbara. Hedgerow was just as advertised, and we look forward to a return visit. Gary and Vicky were welcoming and helpful hosts, without ever being intrusive. They introduced us to a beautiful local walking trail.

Just perfect!
A wonderful break from Ohio weather in this Spanish cottage surrounded by gardens made the first three days of our vacation perfect. Location and aesthetics were just what we wanted.

Quiet Getaway in Paradise!
Vicky & Gary’s property is absolutely perfect! Quiet, clean and charming, it has all the amenities to feel as cozy as home, but better. Set in a quiet neighborhood at the end of a cul de sac, the guesthouse sits at the back of their property but offers full privacy from any neighbors. The home itself is well appointed with everything you will need for your getaway and Vicky is available to help with any suggestions for dining as well. Only minutes to the beach or downtown Santa Barbara, makes it an ideal location too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! (Mazie was an added cute bonus!) Thank you for being such great hosts!

Charming, Quiet, and Comfortable
Property is as described-very charming and serene. Everything you need is there for you. Location in Montecito is great- minutes to the beach, trails and restaurants (in Montecito and Santa Barbara). Hosts are lovely.

Lacking Privacy
The unit was in VERY close proximity to main house. You could see into their windows & vice versa.
Even worse was lumpy squeaky bed. Nice linens however. Interior of unit had entire section closed off as art studio.
Not happy with single ply TP or no kleenex anywhere or half used costco size toilities like Suave.
Ultra long shower curtain was tripping hazard. Also disappointed shower had no hand held fixture. Amazing pictures do not reflect lack of privacy or lack of luxury amenities associated with a Montecito property.

Comfortable little cottage just outside Santa Barbara. Great location, easy access to freeway. Very quiet. It was the perfect getaway. Hope to be able to come back soon.

A piece of Paradise
I can not say enough good things about this property and the hosts (Vicky and Gary). My wife and I have stayed at numerous properties all over Southern California, but this is quite possibly the best. The location is beautiful, we felt a million miles away from the chaos of our work-life, and the cottage itself was perfectly designed and decorated. Also, the property was a quick drive into Santa Barbra for dinning and shopping. My wife and I had wonderful weekend and would love to come back. You can not go wrong with this property.

SWEET SWEET SWEET
Simple, charming, clean, neat and tidy. Helpful but not hovering host. Garden is a calming, healing spot. Relaxing to be away from the hustle bustle of the crowds but minutes to beach, State street, Summerland antiques. We plan to return.

Peace and Beauty!
A wonderful little cottage in Montecito amidst Eucalyptus and fuschia bougainvilla on a little hill provided a peaceful week for us. Our hosts were most welcoming and warm. The cottage was in an ideal location to both upper and lower villages as well as just a few minutes to Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. The furnishings were most comfortable and tasteful. We highly recommend Hedgerow!

Lovely, quiet retreat
My husband and I loved the cottage! It’s very peaceful and private, and convenient to both the upper village (15-minute walk) and lower village (5-minute drive) in Montecito. Santa Barbara proper is a short distance, as are all the beaches. During our week’s stay, we visited family in Santa Barbara, went to several beaches, ate out around State Street and the Funk Zone, and explored other tourist sites in the area. At the end of the day/evening, it was wonderful to return to the cottage for a quiet night’s sleep and undisturbed morning, away from the crowds. The cottage is so comfortable with many windows, French doors, and shade. As evident from the website photos, the design details are lovely. The owners are welcoming and very helpful, but unobtrusive. We look forward to a return visit and highly recommend the cottage.

A wonderfullly peaceful stay!
Not far from the hustle and bustle of Santa Barbara sits a beautiful little cottage. This wonderfully crafted one bedroom building has all you need for a weekend away. Slept with all fo the windows open each night and woke to sounds of birds. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful.
