Niché au coeur de la Forêt nationale contre et à droite sur une route pavée, ce chalet rustique pourtant confortable rend un endroit pittoresque parfait pour une partie ou deux, amener la famille et profiter des nombreuses attractions qu'offre la région.
Nous sommes à seulement cinq miles au sud de Mena. Que vous veniez pour affaires, le plaisir, ou pour le plaisir dans l'air frais de la montagne, il ya beaucoup à garder tout le monde heureux! À seulement 30 minutes des pistes de VTT populaires Wolfpen Gap, par un bel accès de la route de comté ou l'autoroute. 375, et le siège national de l'AMC est juste à quelques miles sur la route. 71. Baignade, randonnée, pêche, golf, boutiques d'antiquaires, pistes cyclables populaires, et des événements locaux tous pour fournir une variété de saveur dans vos vacances. Tels que le festival d'automne tenue à Janseen Park, en Octobre, et les productions Ouachita Little Theatre sur la rue principale historique, qui a lieu chaque mois.

Deux salles de bains, une avec douche unique de rock, cuisine entièrement équipée avec tous les appareils, serviettes et draps fournis, et charbon de bois avec table et chaises.

We really enjoyed our stay we will be back again and plan to stay longer and enjoy everything that was there to do

We made last minute plans to head up to the area and do some day hikes and explore the ATV trails. It was a perfect location to everything in the area. We were made to feel at home, being able to bring our dog and feel welcomed was so nice! We had a little hiccup with the water but Jonathan handled it immediately and we were not inconvenienced at all. We plane to go back again in the future!

This was our first visit to Arkansas as a family and wanted to stay somewhere secluded and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed the drive to the property from the main road, as we passed by cows, horses and the idyllic Bethesda Lake on the other side. The property looks small when you first see it, but the house is actually quite spacious inside. The TARDIS effect. Haha. It is well stocked with everything you could need. I was so thankful for the plentiful towels! As for location, the house is a short 10 minute? drive to the city center, fairly close to Queen Wilhelmina State Park and Talimena National Scenic Byway. We even took a day trip to Hot Springs which was less than 2 hours each way. I could not text or make calls from the house, but the Wi-Fi was excellent. Check in/out was very easy and Chloe was very responsive to messages. My only suggestion would be to provide a small folding table and chairs (maybe there were and we never saw them) for meals. We managed with the coffee table, but I think it'd be harder for a larger group. For those terrified of insects, be aware, because we were greeted by a few 6-8 legged guys here and there. It didn't bother me and expected for the location, but my kids were not too thrilled. But they loved watching the birds visit the bird feeder outside the living room window. Overall, we enjoyed our family time at Woodland Cottage.

Clean, easy to get to SXS trails and amazing hosts! This place gave us what we needed and we enjoyed every minute from start to finish. Comfortable, rustic, simple and perfect.

We stayed with two medium dogs. Found the cabin to be cozy with a lot of character. Easy check in/ out and pleased to find it as quiet as promised. We plan on staying again

The year of 2022 was kinda hard and we wanted just to disconnect from reality. This cottage is perfect for 4-5 people. The twin bed has roll out bundle so family with 3 kids can sleep comfortably. Everything you may need is there. And it is truly in the forest. National forest is 5 minutes driving. Scenic drive is 15 minutes with observstion tower and beautiful state park along the way. Super nice and helpful owners. And yes, sweet Captain is for free. I had my nature and doggie therapy altogether. Thank you, Jonathan and Chloe! We are relaxed and fresh. We will come back for sure. Recommended for everyone!

This is our 4th time staying at this cottage and once again we had a wonderful time! We spent Thanskgiving here as a family and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere as a place to celebrate. We had a fire in the fire pit, and enjoyed the outdoor seating for our Thanksgiving meal! Check in was easy, hosts are wonderful, place is clean and smelled great when we walked in. Hope to be back again soon!

This was a weekend stay for my family while we explored the trails at Wolf Pen Gap. This is a one of a kind stay, a step back in time. (But still with wifi) Our phones didn’t get a signal at the house but we were able to use wifi calling. The host was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we asked. The outdoor space was our favorite because of the set up. They have string lights, a bbq grill & gorgeous colors on the tree leaves. The fire pit is awesome. Even though there was a burn ban when we stayed- so no fire, we still sat out there and stared at the stars.
The Ouachitas restaurant/brewery was delish & not too far.
Great getaway! Weekend was a success.

This such a great comfortable place. The neighbors are amazing!!! They played with our dog, very friendly. This is like stepping back in time to grandma's house so clean and plenty of room. An awesome outside sitting area, a fire pit area and a cool spring beside the house. It's convenient to town trails and restaurant's. Chloe has Doterra and a diffuser. We loved our stay!! Please don't let other reviews discourage you. This is a cool place to stay !!!

Great cabin for a small group
I and my friends really enjoyed the cabin. The location is great, close to the woods. In the night the only sounds you hear is from nature. Still it’s only a short drive to get to town, to eat or buy anything.

From start to finish this mini vacation was incredible. The location of this cottage and the cottage itself was more than worth the price! The creative decor the cleanliness of the cottage and the comfort provided was more than accommodating!!!! Thankyou so much for everything we will be back!!!!

Excellent get away
We enjoyed it. Not much more to be said. It was clean and nice, it was to hot for fires and cookouts but we did walk some after dark with a light and see wildlife. Highly recommend

Stay in the forest!
This was a cute, quirky house and we loved our time there. So peaceful and literally 30' to the forest but yet very close to town for dinner out or buying provisions. We will be back.
The only caution I have for you is don't plan to bake a cake.... there is an oven but it heats to its hearts desire regardless of what you need it to do :)

Very quiet and close to everything
Location is perfect. Absolutely beautiful we saw deer every day , very far off of the road. Jonathan was a great help with everything. Very close to Eagle Mountain and plenty of creeks close by to swim in. You could get to Eagle mountain as well. Can ride roads to wolf penn or surrounding areas like Little Missouri falls or Albert Pike.

Just a great little cottage! Quirky and cramped in some places but so perfect for our time with grandsons ages 15 and 9. They loved the uniqueness, the layout. I loved the thoughtfully equipped kitchen. It had every thing including an electric grill for my famous pancakes. Two baths was a blessing for a rental of this size. Bed linens cozy comfy and A/C kept it very cool. Owners were so easy to work with!
Location can be a bit tricky, roads are narrow and hold all the rumors of twists and turns in this part of Arkansas to be true! But the trip into Mena is quick, distance to Board Camp Crystal Mine is 13 minutes and trails are so close for off-roading, swimming in beautiful nearby clear cold creeks and tons of fun.
The outdoor areas are perfect for morning coffee and evening fun! The fire pit area is amazing.
If we come back to the area we will DEFINITELY stay again!!

Great Little Cottage
This place was very peaceful and a worthwhile choice from VRBO. We were very low key in our adventures due to the weather (Queen Wilhimena SP was snow and ice covered!), and the fire pit and house were very nice for relaxation. We would definitely revisit this place in the future, perhaps when a bit warmer.

We strongly recommend this charming and delightful bungalow for a getaway. It offers great amenities and is nice for a relaxing environment. There is more of a personal touch rather than staying at a hotel.

Woodland Cottage
