Tiffany made sure every detail was attended to, checked in before the anticipated tropical storm to make sure we were alll set, and was a kind and gracious host.
The cottage was so peaceful and was much more roomy than the pics appeared to show. We didn’t get to use the fire pit due to rainy weather - nor the kayaks, but we really enjoyed the fireplace at the end of the week when it was cooler.
Our little chihuahua, Emmet, also enjoyed bring off leash and exploring the property - including the water. He liked the coziness of the fireplace as well!
A grocery store and discount store were but a couple miles away, so very handy. We didn’t get to try the local ice cream shop nearby but will next time.
A laundromat was convenient, being only 2 or 3 miles away, so there wasn’t so much to wash when going home.
Can’t wait to go back to unplug and enjoy the solitude, the lake, and the lions…

Although it rained all the time we were there, the cottage was quaint and homey and enjoyable. There were games on the shelf to amuse us and we were able to take a swim in the beautiful lake. When I had questions, the owners got right back to me. Only drawback was that the water was not drinkable in the house so we had to bring in water to cook and drink. Shower pressure was awesome. Hope to return next year and hopefully have sunny weather so we can enjoy time outside.

Property and cottage nice, sofa's smell musty and no blinds or curtains on slider which makes it very uncomfortable to sit in living room at night or too sleep on. Tv the size of a computer screen. Over all, everything else was good for the price. Kitchen had all you need.

Cottage was accurately described on website. Rustic lakefront property with beautiful sunsets from the deck. Fully supplied kitchen with full size modern oven. Bathroom very clean, and had nice touches with a pedestal sink and circular shower enclosure. Best water pressure in 17 years of traveling up to Maine to fish. Three guys caught 12-15 bass each morning some were in the 5-6 lb range. Host very responsive to our text messages. Can't wait to come back.

A very comfortable rustic cabin in a beautiful location! The owners are very helpful and responsive, and we found lots of fun short hikes and things to do in the area. Hiked Howard Hill with view over the state capitol in Augusta, which was a unique thing to do in the area. The cabin has a stocked kitchen, a couple of kayaks, a perfect location for the fire pit overlooking the lake, a dock with ladder into the water, a swim float, a small rocky beach area, and daily beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend!

Been obsessed with Maine perhaps since a 30 day Outward Bound course some forty years ago. Booked due to location, value, and flew into Bangor. The camp is located right on China Lake on what is nearly a point, you have 180 degree view of the water from the property. The western facing view means the sunsets through the trees are sometimes stunning.
We grilled and chilled and relaxed. Tiffany was at the ready and very accomodating. I only wished that I stayed longer!

Great place to stay. View of lake. Everything you need is there. Just bring yourself and food. Nice deck and grassy front yard to sit and enjoy the lake view. Will definitely book next year for a longer stay.

Great spot for fun, fishing and relaxing
Rustic cottage perfect for a few days away. Nice fire pit and the dock was perfect for our 2 small boats and a refreshing swim. We never got the tv or the wifi to work, but we really didn't miss them. Games and conversation were plenty of fun. We would repeat in a heartbeat.

Will keep it brief because I don’t want to let others into a good thing. Great view, property, peaceful and secluded yet close enough to any city needs (for vacation). Lake fishing and size with lack of traffic most impressive. Our hound Blue loved the water and backyard. Tiffany and company were helpful and couldn’t have been nicer. Shout out to Scott and Jeremy at Maine Boat Rental in Winslow for fishing boat and delivery, hospitality.

Lake Life is the Best
We love vacationing on Maine lakes. The property is well situated just steps from the water and there is not a big hill to go up or down to get there. We did not luck out with weather or with the loons (really missed them), but still had a wonderful, relaxing break from everyday life.

We had a wonderful time on China Lake. The location is amazing, we loved being right on the water. We kayaked, swam and hung out on the dock. Part of the time we worked remotely. The wifi worked decent, but could not take video calls.

We stayed here for a week with our grandchildren (aged 3, 5, and 13) as well as my daughter and grown grandchildren for a couple days. We enjoyed it thoroughly! The owner very nice and helpful. She answered rhe phine whenever we called with questions during the week! There were linens on the beds, good quality bath towels and beach towels for use included!
There was also a canoe and two kayaks on site for us to use (and we sure did!) The camp itself felt bigger than it actually is. The main great room is large with plenty of floor space for the little ones to play with their Lego's. There was also a large deck with a grill for outside dining and hanging out. The large lawn and 150' of lake frontage made the place feel very private!
Although there isn't a sandy beach and shallow entry into the lake, our 3 and 5 year olds had no trouble swimming from the dock, which was a lot of fun to dive and jump off!
During our stay we saw deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, loons, a bald eagle, and even a great blue heron, who who visited the dock almost every day!
This camp exceeded our expectations and the owners made the whole experience easy.
We will definitely return to Notapane lane in the future!

this family camp is quintessential summer in maine. the photos dont do it justice. you have to see it for yourself. if you love the rustic experience, you must stay here. it has all the amenities of a modern house, yet uniqueness that you will enjoy. the outside area is fairly private; especially by the firepit. along with the dock to swim off, there is opportunity to wade along the shoreline. tiffany is a wonderful hostess.

Owner very nice. However pots and pans extremely poor did not attempt to cook. No utensils for the grill. Not recommend using the dock if you have a nice fiberglass boat. Had an issue with water pressure and the toilet understandable but going into the 3rd day is a little too long.. Good location. House was clean which is important.
