This is the best place we have ever stayed in on the coast of Maine. It was cozy, secluded and had the best view to wake up to every morning. Everything we may have needed was provided. We loved it!

The views of the ocean were spectacular. House was very clean. Location was great as well. There was a little work outside next door for 2 days with a tractor/backhoe which drowned out the waves, but not terrible. We were disappointed that there were no binoculars for us to use, like the description and picture showed. Maybe that just needs to be updated on the description. All in all, this is a beautiful property.

The view alone here will cure any problem you have. So relaxing, so peaceful, so quiet.
I like to cook and the kitchen was fine for all my needs. Also, there are restaurants nearby ( driving).

The incredible views and sounds of the bay made it hard to leave this cottage!! Thank you so much!

Aquahela is the perfect cottage on the coast of Maine! The views are amazing and the house is well equipped with everything you could need. The location couldn’t be better…private yet close to the lighthouse, grocery store, lobster pounds & restaurants. We had a hard time leaving the property during our stay because we enjoyed watching the water, the tides, the birds…and collecting special treasures on the beach. So restful and so much fun…we will definitely be repeat visitors.

My husband and I stayed a second time at Pemaquid Point and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The cottage is very charming and peaceful, with excellent ocean views from the various rooms in the cottage and also from the deck. Nature abounds all around the cottage, from songbirds, to eagles and loons, to butterflies and fall foliage (our stay was in early October). The serene and private setting enabled us to enjoy a perfect retreat from our typically hectic, overly busy lives. We were sad to leave when our time was up, but felt very refreshed after our stay. Mark, the property owner is very communicative and easy to contact, as well.

If you are looking for an absolutely gorgeous setting and total relaxation, this is the property for you. Besides being comfy, it is immaculate. I love to cook and the kitchen is equipped with everything that is needed, and then some! Mark, the owner, is responsive should you need anything. I’m presently suffering withdrawal from an amazing week. Being back to reality is painful!

Beautiful location. Quiet, peaceful and private. House is very well equipped. We spent two weeks here and could easily have stayed longer. Would love to return.

The house is just perfect with a million dollar view. The site is right on the water and lobstermen pull in their traps right in front of the property.

New Harbor is a quaint little town with a fine grocery store and ice cream stand not far from two quality lobster pounds--especially nice is Shaw's Lobster Pound, where we ate quality
seafood on an outside deck with great views of lobster boats in the scenic inlet. Not fifteen minutes away was a large Hannaford's grocery store and collection of great shops. It is a beautiful not-too developed peninsula. The cottage itself is very private, but the area is not lacking in necessaries or activities. Fort William Henry and its museum was worth a visit.
The approach to the cottage is a dirt road through the tall pines. The cottage itself is on the bay with a rocky area containing a small sand beach. The cottage is designed to maximize the views of the water: whether you are sitting on the deck, sitting in the living room, or in the comfortable king bed, the views are panoramic. Sunny weather or stormy weather, it is all about wonderful views. The kitchen is nice and well-supplied; the bathroom and laundry room are in good-repair, Upstairs is a nice area for a youngster to sleep. The cottage also contains some artistic touches: some Maine scenes in several watercolors on the walls, a carved wooden door frame and doors leading to the bedroom, and a garden mural on both sides of the large window/door on the front wall of the living room. Outside, there were many species of birds and occasional deer crossing in front of the deck.
The owner, Mark, was very friendly, helpful and available if needed. The cottage was very clean and comfy. My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at this property!

Better than we hoped!
Enjoyed our stay. Quiet, private and clean! Had all the amenities and good hot water! Perfect for a pair of grandparents with grandchild. Close to the ocean with excellent views. Good shore for clambering on rocks and watching sea birds, Ibis, cranes, ducks, cormorants (drying their wings) and gulls of course! Added bonus, back yard bunnies, chipmunks and deer AND three lady slippers on the edge of the road. Easy access to all the local attractions, Pemaquid Point Light House, Rachel Carson Salt Pond Preserve, The Colonial Pemaquid historic site as well as Puffin watch on Hardy's boat or kayak/Canoe rental with River Mist rental.
Host - Mark was responsive. Checkin and checkout was easy. Aquahela was a delight. Love to go back!

Peaceful with amazing ocean view
We truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage at Pemaquid Point. The cottage was so lovely and cozy with sliding doors in the living room and bedroom that gave excellent views of the ocean just outside. We saw bald eagles and loons daily, as well as wild turkeys at one point and other wildlife (many songbirds, butterflies, dragonflies, etc). The cottage location is private and quiet, which was just what we wanted for this trip. We highly recommend and will definitely be returning to this location!

Wonderful property with amazing views and privacy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mark’s cottage, especially being right on the ocean and the privacy. Mark was a pleasure to work with and was very respectful of our privacy.
The cottage has everything we needed with a fully equipped kitchen, including spices, oil, etc., a very comfortable bed and comfortable seating inside, on the deck and near the sandy beach. The living area and the bedroom had sliding glass doors and windows facing the ocean so no matter what the weather is you always have a wonderful view of the ocean. We were lucky enough to have mostly sunny weather and enjoyed considerable time on the deck. We also enjoyed beachcombing on our private sandy beach. If we wanted to go out exploring Mark had an abundant amount of local info including road maps, hiking and wildlife info and binoculars.
We thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds of the ocean from this wonderful cottage and hope to return next year!

Idyllic little cottage on the rocky coast of Maine
We are two friends who wanted to spend a couple of weeks on the coast painting. This cottage offered superbe sunsets and sea scapes from the deck. The owner was wonderful! The only disadvantage was I hadn't understood that the loft bedroom is too small even for a small adult. It is better suited for a 5-10 yr old.

We had a great time staying at Pemaquid Point. Our goal was to relax in a quiet spot not far away from boating and dining attractions. We got this and more.
We also enjoyed a beautifully appointed cabin with great decorations and quality appointments - plus a great view!

Wonderful view from deck, very private, well equipped kitchen, furniture over-used although bed was very comfortable. Would be helpful to add an umbrella for deck as it gets hot in afternoon sun, binoculars and a working TV. Would certainly consider returning as location is exceptional.

Wonderful cottage
My husband and I have just spent two weeks at the cottage, which is in a beautiful, untouristy part of the Maine Coast. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The owner has thought of everything one might need. I cooked dinner most nights in the well-equipped kitchen, but there are also places to eat or get take-out not too far away. The very best thing about the place is that it sits right on the shore and from both the sitting room and the bedroom, you can spend hours watching the tides, the birds and the sunset. We definitely hope to go back one day.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!
Gorgeous property with stunning water views from every room in the cottage. Peaceful and serene. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Mark has fully equipped his place with all the comforts and conveniences of home. Enjoyed the wide variety of oysters farmed locally. If you love oysters and lobsters this is a vacay destination for you! A truly special escape. We're already planning our return!!

Stunning, private property
This house is beautiful. The little private beach was set up nicely. You can watch the waves crash against the rocks from the little beach. You can hear the waves from the house. It truly is a relaxing property that is close to amenities. Lastly, it is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and supplies.

The view! The view! The view!
This is without a doubt one of the most relaxing and beautiful locations in the Northeast. The view from this property is stunning! Right on the ocean in a peaceful and quiet location (other than the wind, waves, birds and the occasional lobster boat;) it is the perfect place to unwind and unplug. There’s even a beach 60 feet from the deck!
The house itself is clean and has everything you’ll need for stay but it is dated. We preferred to look at it as having great character! If you go in expecting modern amenities you might be disappointed - although the WiFi is top notch - and when you awaken to a panoramic view of the rocky coast and crashing waves out the bedroom window I’ll doubt you’ll care!
Pemaquid Point is quintessential Mid-coast Maine. The beauty all around is stunning! The nearby lighthouse is spectacular as is the public beach about five miles away. We were there in the offseason so a number of restaurants were not quite open yet for the season but there were still a number of fantastic spots to dine including the Harbor Room. Nearby Damariscotta has many excellent options as well and day trips to Boothbay and Rockport/Camden are easily done.
We could not recommend this property more!

Cozy cottage on the ocean
This is a delightful cottage for two in a perfect location right on the ocean. Private, comfortable, and outfitted with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The master bedroom has a gorgeous view of the ocean as does the dining room/living room. There is also a small loft with a bed.

Ocean Retreat
The cottage was right on the ocean, you could hear the waves crashing against the rocky shore. What a way to go to sleep and wake up. The design of the cottage magical especially the bedroom. We needed to get away to decompress and this place did the trick. We had a power outage one night and Mark the owner came over and took care of the generator for us. This cottage is very private, clean, and lovely.

It was a beautiful spot to enjoy for a week. Well equipped and maintained, and a restful feel, and not far from what you would need and want for a week. The wonderful sunsets added a lot.
