As we drove up the driveway, it was snowing, and with four horses grazing nearby, we felt like we were in a snow globe. My husband and I had a wonderful stay with three dear friends in this comfortable home nestled into such a serene property. We enjoyed an excursion to Brandon, where we found great buys at the bookstore and had a supremely delicious lunch at Cafe Provence. We were glad to meet the homeowner before we departed!

The house was very clean and cute! The property is amazing, and location is close to restaurants and stores in Brandon. There is lots of activities at the house if you choose to stay, there is a pond with kayaks and a beautiful front porch for relaxing! 10/10!

We (two couples) had a fabulous long weekend leaf peeping throughout Vermont. Sherry is a gracious and accommodating host who has furnished the place with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. The town of Brandon is quaint but not crowded with a first-class French restaurant plus a great local bakery. Brandon was perfect for us as it is off the beaten path but close to it. All four of us highly recommend Sherry's place if you are looking to stay in the Vermont area.

This is the perfect Vermont county home! We attended a wedding not far from the house, so we could not more pleased with the location. My wife, three adult children and some of their significant others stayed at the house with us. The house has four beautiful bedrooms so there was plenty of room for all. The house is supper clean and beautifully decorated - all the charm of a true county Vermont home. The outside property is very spacious and well maintained. The pond on the property is just a perfect touch to this appealing property. The town of Brandon is just a few miles away and is a nice old fashion town with good dining, supermarket, antique shops and other amenities.
We are looking forward to spending another weekend at the house over the winter.

We are a group of 6 UVM grads who just had our own 50th reunion at this beautiful Brandon property.
It was fantastic in every way. Very well equipped with everything you would need and very clean.
Sherry, the owner, was extremely efficient in detailing the house and communicating with us.

The property was absolutely stunning. Such a peaceful place with gorgeous mountain views. Plenty of space to spread out. The neighbors horses were so wonderful to just sit on the porch and watch grazing. The deck was perfect to sit out on the rainy days. The 2 hummingbirds that would flutter by made my father in law very happy. He loves little guys. The house was immaculate and had everything you would need.

We come to Vermont every year to see friends and family. We always stay in the Brandon area on either Fern lake or Dunmore. Over the years our daily group of visitors have grown and we needed a place where we had parking and room. Also landlords for lake houses do not like large gatherings. This beautiful property and gorgeous house accommodated our needs. We have been renting places for vacation for 14 years and Sherri is by far the best landlord we have had. The other landlords have been nice but Sherri definitely outdoes them. She met with us when we arrived and visited with us before we left. Send a text in the middle of the week just to check in and make sure all was ok. Yes we missed the lake this year but this property opened up our eyes to something different. Easy access to downtown Brandon. Very quiet very peaceful and very private. The front porch was a big hit for everyone to sit and visit.. Even though we did not stay on a lake we all agree this was the best place we stayed at so far. Thank you so much Sherry for being a beautiful and wonderful host.

We loved our stay at Sherry’s place. The space was comfortable for six of us and the kitchen was fully stocked. The property is beautiful and we spent time on the porch and canoeing on the pond. We were able to swim and hike nearby. Sherry is a great host and was very accommodating. I definitely recommend this spot.

We had a lovely 4 days in May with family/friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. The house was just as pictured on line - very accommodating for a small group with plenty of places to sit and relax, including a beautiful wrap around porch with swallows nesting in the eaves. The grounds are beautiful. We were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the peepers in the evenings and got to enjoy the baby goslings traipse around after their mother.
Brandon is a beautiful area for hiking/biking (we took advantage of both). Sherry was very responsive - met us at check in and messaged us to be sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Sherry's home is beautiful. It is well maintained and comfortable. I stayed for 5 nights with friends for skiing at Killington/Pico (45 min) and Sugarbush (~1 hour). I hope to visit again!

Beautiful home with plenty of room for 7 of us. Kitchen is spotless & well-equipped for cooking big meals. Easy 30 minute drive to Middlebury. We were very cozy for our winter stay, but we want to come back in the summer!

Sherry is an amazing host and treated us like her own family. She has a beautiful property that accommodated our group well including our two small children. The property is well cared for and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. After some issues arising from a power outage in the days prior to our stay, luckily Sherry was on site and helped replace all of the linens herself. She is probably the best VRBO host we have come across! One note, there are a lot of ladybugs in the upstairs bathroom - those who dislike them will probably want to stay on the first floor.

Sherry was a fantastic host! She went out of her way to make sure my family had everything we needed over the Thanksgiving weekend. The property is spectacular, and the house is exactly what you picture when you think of a Vermont farmhouse. It was lovely and very comfortable. We visited family in nearby Middlebury. It was an easy drive, passing by Lake Dunmore. We even got to see a porcupine on the way. The trails around the property are gorgeous and totally quiet. It was incredibly relaxing. We hope to return in the summer when we'll be able to paddle around the 3 ponds.

Rented this property for some friends who were guests and vendors at our daughter’s wedding in Brandon, Vermont on July 30th. The house was perfect for all our guests as there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a great kitchen and several different areas to relax (a living room, family room, and spacious outdoor deck/porch). The property included A/C throughout, plenty of towels, a full kitchen with appliances and cookware, plus an overall charming ambiance. The property and grounds were spacious and lovely…a great place to enjoy some quiet relaxation. Bonus: it is a very short drive to the center of the town of Brandon!
The property owner was friendly, extremely accommodating, and helpful. Our only complaint was the directions to the property must be followed very closely (we made the mistake of using GPS to find the property as with the wedding we didn’t have time to check the email for instructions). Unfortunately, GPS is NOT accurate for this property and we ended up driving up a very steep and rugged mountain road (thankfully we have a very large 4 wheel drive vehicle!). Apparently, other guests have had the same experience with less favorable endings. In any case, I would recommend that the owner place a sign at the end of the driveway with an address, at the very least, or some sort of property sign (the house is at the end of a very long driveway and is not particularly visible from the access road if you aren’t looking for it). Aside from this initial misadventure, we would definitely recommend this property to other renters.

Stayed at this property for a couple of days while on a golf trip with girlfriends. The home was perfect… different seating areas in case you needed some alone time to read or make a phone call. The property is very peaceful and we were able to see deer and geese in the fields. We really enjoyed our time there and Sherry was an amazing hostess!

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. Check in was very easy and very thorough, and Sherry was a text message away throughout our stay. Layout of the house was perfect for our 2 families. Great kitchen with everything we needed. The wraparound porch was our favorite place to hang out, with views of ponds, horses, birds, bunnies and so many beautiful flowers. So peaceful and relaxing. We can't wait to come back!

Relaxation at its best
So peaceful. Relax on the comfy couch on the porch or dine at the outdoor table and enjoy the beauty around you. Always a gently breeze and the birds chirping in the background add to the 'Calgon, take me away' effect. I can only imagine how nice it would be during foliage season!
The home is spacious and comfortable (perfect for those that want single floor living), the kitchen is well appointed, and there is plenty of parking for visitors. Sherry has thought of everything as far as I can see and is very responsive to any questions or needs you may have too.

Weekend Family Gathering
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at this farmhouse located near Brandon, VT and Lake Dunmore. The vacation was ideal as we could pop into town for groceries or coffee and visit the family lakeside cabin in 10 minutes or less. The accommodations were very clean, lots of places to gather including a beautiful porch and the kitchen had every appliance you could hope for. The host was friendly, easy to reach and helpful in getting settled in. We would highly recommend this property for its relaxing, comfortable atmosphere.

6 of us stayed comfortably for a visit to bike ride around Vermont. The deck is absolutely beautiful, and there's plenty of space and bedrooms for big crew.

Stunning property and home
I spent an extended weekend on this property. We were 3 adults and two teenagers. The pictures do not hold a candle to the magic that exists here. Sherry has gone out of her way to ensure everything is clean, comfortable and the property had every amenity you could ever need.
We were there to ski Pico, easy, beautiful drive. The downtown area was great to roam around and support some local businesses/artists.
The first morning I had my son playing the piano & as I walked out to the comfy sofa on the deck with my coffee there were horses eating to my right and deer eating across the pond to my left. Nights were spent playing dice and card games and watching the gorgeous sunsets from the deck.
We cannot wait to return to this hidden gem!
