We ran into a minor heating snafu the first two nights but Gary was great. He was very apologetic and quick to respind. Awesome hots and clean cabin. I would recommend to all! We will be a return guest for sure.

We stayed for Thanksgiving week and really enjoyed the house. It is a little dated and needs a few updates but over all clean, comfy and cozy. The creek is a nice bonus. Also the house is stocked with all the paper products you’ll need as well. GPS takes you right to the house and no extra directions are needed which was also nice. We will definitely rent again!

This was a comfortable home located near several nice waterfall hikes. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and area.

The cabin was beautiful and just as described. The creek was the best part. I hope we can come back soon and spend more time at the cabin vs sight seeing.

We usually take a vacation to the Smokies every year and we always stay at a different place. We decided to stay on the NC side this year. I came across this listing and fell in love. When we got there it didn’t disappoint. The creek that ran behind the cabin was so peaceful. The neighborhood was quiet. There are several other cabins around it but you wouldn’t know it if you weren’t outside looking at them. There were no peace disturbances, loud neighbors, etc. While there we had the unfortunate experience of breaking down on a Friday with a mechanic bit being able to look at the car until Monday. It did take a little bit to get ahold of Gary because he was out of state on business but once I did he was very quick to accommodate us and extend our stay. If we ever travel to this part again we will definitely stay here again.

When you are looking for that peaceful and beautiful place to unwind, meditate, sit by the creek and listen to it babble all your worries away or go sightseeing this is where you need to go. You are not far from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Maggie Valley, Bryson City, Cherokee and many other exciting places to visit. The drive on the Parkway between Cherokee and Gatlinburg is beautiful no matter what time of year. Then come home from exploring and light the fireplace and relax with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. The neighbors are friendly, but very quiet. Thank you for such a wonderful place to call home.

Family and we loved it. Three old ladies and my daughter. We loved the sound of brook, deep in woods, neighbor a delight.

Rushing Waters Cabins was a beautiful as described. It was off the beaten path but worth the ride. The host was wonderful and nice to respond to my question or need we had.
The Only ding I could give was the water in the bathroom sinks and showers had a rust smell. It was fine in the kitchen.
I would recommend this cabin to anyone! ❤️

The cabin and property have been well maintained. The check in and out process is very easy. The creek running through the property was fun to play in. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We loved the porch and the creek! Gary was very responsive to any questions we had. They also had plenty of paper products, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, etc, so you shouldn’t need to bring any of those things. The beds were comfortable except for the daybed, our daughter was not a fan. Getting up the mountain was a little tricky, our SUV and our son’s sedan lost traction a few times, but Gary told us we have to go up a little faster and that would help. It did help, but the last stretch of the road up is gravel and dirt, so your car may need an alignment after your stay. There are a few bumpy spots. Also, do not try to go to Cherokee using Washington Creek Road, we almost got stuck! Overall, it was a great trip, definitely go to Darnell Farms and we also loved Soco Falls!

We came to North Carolina to see the forest plants of the Appalachian mountains and this was the perfect wooded spot to stay with a small creek and lots of rhododendron on the hillside. The cabin was very spacious especially since there was just 2 of us. It was very well supplied and organized and comfortable. Unlike most places, there was lots of lighting in the rooms. Gary was thoughtful to send us the entry information early so that we could print the information before we hit the road which was well before our visit. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice house in a quiet area. Close to beautiful waterfalls and hiking. We enjoyed visiting Gorges State Park and the surrounding areas. Fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to make meals. Best part was sitting around the fire pit by the babbling creek…heaven! Would definitely recommend.

The property is exactly as depicted in the photos. It is a perfect place to disconnect and relax. Many hours were spent on the back deck listening to the rushing waters of the creek. It's convenient to local attractions, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains.

This cabin was everything we needed for time together as a family of five. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean and uncomplicated. We did not watch any tv and spent our time exploring the creek and enjoying campfires every night. Location was great for day trips to mountains and rivers nearby. Restaurants within 10 minute drive were delicious and the cabin's kitchen had everything to make our own meals as well. IGA grocery store nearby was very helpful.

Me and my family stayed during Christmas. Of course there happened to be a winter storm that shut everything down nearby that we had wanted to do with our 3 kids however we made the best out of it and the cabin was great. The kids didn't complain as they had board games and the view and cabin was just beautiful and perfect for our family! If we decide to go up that way again we would def look into staying here again! Don't hesitate to book this little slice of paradise!

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Burke's piece of paradise in the Smoky Mountains. The cabin was stocked with all the kitchen amenities and supplies that we needed. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of fresh linens, toilet paper and shampoo. My sons enjoyed playing board games that were upstairs in the loft of the cabin. My husband and I were impressed with how comfortable the mattresses were. We enjoyed being near the city, but secluded in the mountains. It was refreshing to wake up to the sound of the creek outside.
In addition to the amenities and supplies, my family's expectations were exceeded. We arrived at the cabin the day after Christmas. The cabin was decorated for Christmas, with a nicely lit tree and decorations. On the table was a jar of chocolate, which my sons enjoyed. Mr. Gary was a very polite and kind host, answering questions that we had beforehand in a timely manner and providing us with an abundance of information before our trip to ensure that we had a wonderful time.
I am thankful for our experience and we hope to return soon!

My husband and I spent our 50th wedding anniversary there and it was so nice. We slept in the master bedroom’s king size bed and I slept better than I have in years. All the activities we wanted to do were nearby. Thank you for a great trip!

My husband loved rocking on back porch and listening to the creek. Living room couches a little uncomfortable but overall enjoyed the cabin.

A well-kept house, lots of space inside and outside, wonderful setting. My friends and I took so many pictures of the surrounding mountains!

Older Cabin but nicely maintained. Does have all amenities but Difficult to locate even with directions provided by host. Cabin is located nearly 4 miles up very narrow curved road. Very secluded. If you are looking for somewhere away from pedestrian and traffic congestion this is the place.

We have come to this cabin for many years and have not found a better place to our liking. You can open your windows at night and go to sleep with the sound of the creek rushing by. A covered back and front deck allows you to sit in any weather and enjoy the outdoors. Our host is available for anything we need and is prompt to offer his help. We'll be back!

So Peaceful
Great stay! The cabin was perfect for our family and the boys played in the creek everyday. Listening to the creek on the back deck was so peaceful. Before booking I read most of the reviews and the biggest complaint was the steep drive. I have been going to the mountains for years and go twice a year and to me this is not considered steep. There is an incline or 2 that may be hard for 4cyl but my small 6cyl suv didn’t have a problem at all. I would highly recommend this cabin. I enjoyed it so much that I have it booked for my fall trip too. Gary is a considerate host.

Best Vacay!
Our family has a great vacation! We loved the cabin and beautiful creek. We made s'mores by the babbling creek, painted stones, enjoyed the porches, cooked shish kabobs on the grill, visited nearby Dillsboro, Dillard and enjoyed all of the beautiful scenery. The cabin had everything we needed! Would visit again💜
