Supberb beach access! The house was cozy and very well eqipped. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Games and puzzles available and lots of reading options. We especially enjoyed watching the crashing waves from the upstairs sunroom. It was a fantastic vacation for me and my husband.

The Lighthouse View Cottage was a wonderful place for us to use as a base for our redwood explorations. It provided breathtaking views of the wild surf that hit Northern CA the week we visited. It also came with a great soundtrack of waves and seabirds, especially from the second floor sitting room that overlooks the beach.
The Cottage is well equipped and comfortable, within walking distance of the beach, the lighthouse, a local brew pub, and other places.
We would happily stay there again.

Trying to get laundry and everything clean right before leaving is kind difficult would rather just have it be included in cleaning fee. Other then that the place is really nice and in a great location with fantastic views.

Amazing location directly across the street from beach access for exploring tide pools and beach combing. Loved watching the waves breaking through the kitchen window. And the lighthouse view is iconic

The location cannot be beat, especially if you're travelling with elementary/preschool age children and want to minimize time in the car to maximize fun. Trailheads in the Redwoods are only a short drive away and a fun beach for poking around tide pools and watching the waves is basically out the front door. The only downsides would be the upstairs bed was creaky and A/V technology was very dated/not working. I think it was fairly priced for what it is though. Just don't forget your own Bluetooth speaker and you'll be all set!

The view from the sunroom upstairs can't be beat! Very well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed! Location is perfect. We walked everywhere! Really enjoyed our visit!!

The house is cozy and very clean. The view of the lighthouse and ocean didn’t disappoint. Great beach for rock hunting and wandering(we had a sea lion join us)! Very close to grocery and activities with a fabulous sand beach 5 minutes away. A perfect location for the tree lovers as well as the water lovers!

House was clean, well stocked and maintained. Beth kept us informed about the redwoods fires 🔥 and the power outages. The week of August 16-23 was an Eventful one but we had a good time and would return.

Our stay at Beth’s place in Crescent City was just what we were hoping for, for this vacation. It was so close to the Redwoods and we spent lots of time hiking, which we loved. The redwoods were just so beautiful- it was our first time seeing them. We got to walk to the beach numerous times, which is just up the street and less than a five minute walk. The views from the observation room were great-loved seeing the seals every morning and exploring the tide pools at low tide. Crescent City is a small town, but had everything we needed and the property was just great. We like cooking our own meals and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, and even some spices and other things that you need. There were also some great restaurants in town. Beth was a great communicator and responded quickly to any questions I had throughout the whole process. She also had a really comprehensive set of resources on site of things to explore in the area. Instructions for check in and check out were very clearly communicated. We would definitely love to return at some point in the future. What a great location and a great experience!

We had such a relaxing stay at this house! The view of the lighthouse and the proximity to the beach where wonderful. I was also pleased with how close we were to the Redwoods. We were able to get to our hikes quickly, which is helpful with kids. The town has the amenities we needed (restaurants, grocery stores, even a movie theater) and it was easy to quickly navigate around town. We had a wonderful time in this house and we would definitely go back!

This house was perfect for our Crescent City stay. Clean, comfy, and yes, the upstairs view of the ocean and lighthouse was special. If you arrive during inclement weather there is a carport connected to the house so you can stay dry. Hiking in the redwoods is what we wanted and we were not disappointed.

Our first impression on walking in "how nice, it's so clean." The pictures showed the observation room but did not do it justice. The four of us LOVED that room. Several times a day (when we weren't out playing) we would end up there just gazing at the ever changing ocean. We liked to open the windows to feel the breeze and hear the ocean. The location is perfect. We loved the lighthouse , Pebble Beach Dr., Point St. George Lighthouse area and Enderts Beach. Hope to be back again.

My friend and I found it easy to find trails near by, lots of fishing in the area, and so very close to the giant redwood trees. A stone throw from the beach for picture perfect morning strolls.

We loved waking up to the beautiful lighthouse view each morning. The pantry is extremely well stocked. We had everything we needed and more. House is very clean and comfortable. It had been a very relaxing holiday vacation staying at this lovely house while exploring the majestic redwood forests and beaches, exactly what we had been hoping for. Looking forward to coming back and visiting again, probably during a warmer season.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The place was immaculate and well stocked. The view of the lighthouse is from the upstairs bedroom and sunroom, but we all sat up there each morning and enjoyed the view and our coffee. It was a very nice and comfortable stay. The neighborhood was quaint, and the house was very close to the beach. Safeway was a short drive away, as was SeaQuake Brewing (a must if you like craft beer and good food). We highly recommend the property!

Great spot. Clean home. Beach access is super convenient: I had a 15 minute break in an online conference I was attending, and was able to walk to the beach, spend 10 minutes, and get back for my next session. That was wonderful! My teen loved staying in the upstairs—there are great views of the lighthouse and ocean from there, and a little bit of privacy. Beth was great with communicating, too. Really wonderful experience!

What a great find! This house is cozy, nice and clean, well stocked and has great beach access. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and that is something considering I was traveling with a gourmet cook. The charming spiral staircase to the beach is close to the house and the top landing is the perfect place to watch and take photos of the beautiful sunsets. The gas stove kept us cozy and was so pretty. The on-demand water heater insured we all had hot showers any time. This house is so comfortable and everything works perfectly. Our favorite spot was the magical observation room, where we spent most of our time having coffee or wine and just talking and taking in the stellar ocean view. A perfect home for our retreat. The house is a half block from the ocean and a great place to use for touring the redwoods. It has just about anything you need for a comfortable stay, is very well maintained and just about perfect. Highly recommend!

Perfect location for our short beach layover. Walking distance to sights resturants and stores. Kitchen was well equipped and all amenities necessary provided. Very clean!

Cons.
1. Like others stated, there were ants everywhere in the kitchen
2. The clean up list at the end of your trip was very long. From cleaning sinks, toilet, tubs to making sure everything was vacuumed and laundry was all washed was a bit much for a vrbo in my opinion I've never stayed in one with such a long list and would have gladly paid a bigger cleaning fee for the 2 hour clean up in took the night before because we had to leave very early in the morning.
3. Location of this place is excellent as far as things to do, but the town is very ghetto and has many Gypsy/homeless people running everywhere. Pretty grungy location as far as that goes.
4. The outside door does not have a lock it has a key, just don't lock yourself out, not fun.
5. Last thing was there wasn't a lock on the master bedroom door, and the second bedroom doesn't have a door either it's just upstairs. So if you've got a few people going and need to get dressed and undressed for the beach and shower and use the bathrooms after a long day at the beaches, it got pretty annoying and didn't give us any privacy from the kids whatsoever.
In all our trip was very fun and the stay was fine, but I do think that I wish I knew a few of these details before we booked our trip.

Where do the Redwoods meet the ocean? At this darling cottage home! You will be greeted with an hydrangea lined drive, park in a well-lit carport. Walk into a well-kept clean cottage home, unpack your suitcases into large closets and ample drawer space and head a half a block to the beach. Or sit in the little sunroom upstairs and view the lighthouse...especially at night before bed. Kids and adults will love it. Drive 20 min and you are back amonst the giant redwoods. Picnic at the river and walk through Stout Grove. Then head back to your home and create a yummy meal in a fully stocked kitchen. Buy your groceries on the way in. This place is a little slice of heaven...everything you need. Our teen and youngster never even looked at their electronic devices (although wifi is provided). A safe and comfortable neighborhood that has been there for years...quiet and well kept. The owner is easy to communicate with. We will be going back for sure! A little gem of a place!

This beautiful home is in perfect condition and it is in a great location. We enjoyed the fact it is close to lots of wonderful places. The Beaches, Battery Lighthouse and the Amazing Redwoods are just a few wonderful places close to this very nice home.

We had a great stay in Crescent City. We loved being right next to the ocean and walking to the lighthouse. The house was perfect for our family. We visited the aquarium, redwoods and saw the sunset from a gorgeous lookout. Would highly recommend it and would love to stay here again!
