We rented this property primarily for a mother/daughter private getaway. This rental is in my own neighborhood, but we were lured by the outdoor hot tub. This is an incredibly hard to find feature in this neck of the woods. There is something magical about being in an outdoor hot tub in the thick of winter! On our last evening, we invited our spouses to join us. The home is spotless and has everything one needs. I really appreciated not having to run to the store for every little thing and also that we were not expected to do a bunch of chores before leaving. The hot tub was also very clean and quite hot enough despite the cold and is actually much larger than it appears in the photos.

Our family of six (four young adult "kids" and two parents thrilled to be together) really enjoyed this place. We came up to cross country and downhill ski and snowshoe and skate and play hockey outside -- only to run into global overheating + El Niño. Despite almost constant fog, drizzle, rain, overcast and 20 degree above normal temps, we had a terrific time. We hiked every day all over the region, each place more beautiful than the next. And we cooked and played board games and jumped in the hot tub and walked to interesting places in the city. Communication with the host was great, which mattered a lot because a new boiler wasn't set right, and she got it fixed promptly. We loved the old house and its location, and it was just big enough for six - as long as you have a group that can share three nice beds, you're golden.

Our family visited Marquette for a tour of NMU for our high school age son. The house was in a great location with views of Lake Superior and within walking distance to downtown (if you don't mind getting a little exercise). The house was clean, check in was easy and we were very comfortable throughout the weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Very nice, clean, and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing! The home was close to everything in town. We had a great time and will be staying here again!!

Amy was great with communication, even when I was quite quiet due to work. I appreciated not having a long list of things to do before checkout, along with an additional hour later than normal. The house had everything! The kitchen was fully loaded, there was stuff for dogs (however I come fully loaded with everything) items for children, and a hot tub!
The house had a lot of charm. I’m a plant lover so it made me very happy seeing all of the plants. I didn’t have a chance to relax or watch tv but it was laid out nicely to do so. I love the big kitchen and the large dining area. I wish it was summer because I’d love the yard with fire pit and grill.
I love the location because it takes me right by 41 where I needed to go, just close enough to downtown, and it was by Courtyard and I could eat/drink there for every meal. Great place to stay!

We’d wanted to stay here since 2019 and with everything that happened after that it took us awhile to be able to book just with life and being busy. We were in awe upon check in! The house is somehow even more beautiful than pictured and seriously anything you could need or want is probably provided. The view is excellent of Lake Superior and the house is close to downtown and our favorite spots. Amy was SO nice and very responsive to any messages. The bed we stayed in in the room with the bay window was very comfortable and I’ve gotta get us one of the duvet inserts like the one in that room. It was so luxurious! This house was everything we’d been dreaming of and feel so lucky we got to stay here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary! Thank you again for hosting us!

Had a great time, had plenty of room and enjoyed the hot tub. The weather was not the best but that’s Marquette weather. Would consider renting again.

The view of Superior is spectacular from this property.
Had a great time exploring Marquette and relaxing in the hot tub.
Great place to stay and enjoy time with family.

Overall great upkeep. Everything seemed clean except for the floors. There was no debris on the floors but they probably could have used a washing since all our sock bottoms turned black. Only other downfall are the freshly built condos that stand between the house and the water. The house and manager were great overall and I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great, and we really enjoyed the view. We will hopefully return!

The house is adorable, well appointed and close to everything. I hesitate to write anything negative because the owner came to the rescue after poor decisions by a manager (former by now I think). We used the hot tub after long days of hiking and two of the bedrooms have beautiful sunrise views. The house is older with gorgeous vintage furniture. All Beds were comfortable!

We booked the property for a place to stay for the weekend while moving my youngest into college for the first time. Our group consisted of me, my oldest daughter, my middle son and his girlfriend.
The house was great. So much room for our group. Just about 10 minutes to campus which was so convenient for our many trips back and forth. And close to downtown, it was walking distance, although we mostly drove. Easy to get to and navigate around - to campus, to town, to the lake, and much more.
The hot tub was wonderful. Perfect when the temperature dropped in the evening after a long day of unpacking and another long day of exploring and hiking in Marquette.
Check in was seamless, as was checkout. Plenty of amenities in the house, even though we didn’t use much. Kitchen was well stocked, parking available, great sized yard that would be perfect for spending time in.
And the views are amazing. I will look for this property first to book on any return trips.

Crisp, clean, extremely well-cared for antique home. Spacious stocked kitchen and wood floors throughout. All of the bedrooms were charming and well-appointed. Air conditioning when we needed it; hot tub for the cool evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to family and friends.

My husband and I took our 2 teenagers to the upper peninsula to have some family fun before school starts. We enjoyed our time up north, and this home was the perfect place to return to after a day of hiking & exploring. The home was clean, kitchen was fully stocked, beds were comfortable, and the view was superb. Rachel was very accommodating and instructions were straightforward. We would absolutely stay again, thank you!

We all loved this charming home in Marquette, MI. There was plenty of space for our group to spread out and the kitchen was perfect for making meals at home. You can walk from here to the center of town or to a beach on Lake Superior. Watched the 4th of July fireworks from the patio. Great stay!

There was more rain than we hoped but that didn't stop us from having a great time in Marquette! It is amazing how many trails there are in the area to hike and bike!! Our VRBO home was in a great location to go somewhere by car or just get on a bike and go or take a hike by the lakeshore. It was perfect with everything we needed and so clean and cozy with special furnishings and a great view of Lake Superior. Special memories were made here!!!

We did a whirl wind weekend with both kids graduating. SVSU Friday at noon then NMU Saturday morning. The home owner turned the porch light on after I told her we would be checking in later for that reason. Such a nice home close to the school and Great Lake view. Took advantage of the hot tub the first night, but too tired the second. This house worked great for my husband, daughter and I. The house had more bedrooms than we ended up needing, but some family members were unable to come. Like I had said, plenty of older woodwork in this house, but new amenities as well. Loved this place. Thanks for the hospitality.

Loved the house. Very charming old house in the heart of Marquette with a view of Superior. Very clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the hot tub during a snowstorm. Only a five minute drive from Marquette Mountain. Skiing was awesome compared to SE Michigan ski hills.

This home was clean and full of charm. Loved the decor! It's close to restaurants, a view of Lake Superior, has a hot tub and the neighborhood was friendly and safe. I walked our puppy up and down the streets. The sidewalks were clear even though it was Feb and there was a LOT of snow. Rachel, the property manager, was quick with responses to my emails and texts. She is very friendly and helpful. A perfect stay, will stay here again when in Marquette. Thank you!!
