Long steep stairs to the bedroom, other than it was magnificent!

Our stay at Gallery Stay Kitashajin, is simply one of the best experiences I have had in Japan. Got the warmest welcome anyone could ever dream of, and got help with dinner booking and plenty of suggestions on places to go.
The house itself is as we say in Denmark, very hyggelig. You got all the facilities you need mixed with lovely photos, handcrafted baskets, and beautiful nature.

The house was perfectly clean with all we needed for cooking. Really relaxing and quiet .
Well situated to enjoy the nature .
Mika and Osamu are extremely nice hosts , it’s easy to communicate , gave us all the information needed and more . you can add an extra 1000¥ for the bbq and it was well worth it as Osamu prepared it . Highly recommended!!

This place is a place you need if you want to relax and take your time. Pictures that decorate the place are amazing.
Kitchen is functional and picture books nice to read.
You can access easily Daisetsuzan National Park and the place has much more charm than big hotels further down in the park.
House is confortable for 3 people a bit less for 4.
Owners are super helpful and this is the only place in our trip in Hokkaido where cleaning was made every day.
It is an old property with a lot of charms but it is a bit dark inside due to small windows
