If you’re looking for quiet, relaxing and doing nothing but enjoying the great outdoors…St. George Island is the place. My mom and I did nothing but enjoy the beach everyday. We walked miles and loved the beautiful sunsets. We were right on the beach and appreciated the wagon, chairs and umbrella that were available for use. The weather was perfect for us; 70’s and sunny during the day and cooled off at night. The host was very responsive to questions while we were there regardless of the time of day. Coffee pot wasn’t working and she had a new one delivered that evening along with some coffee pods!! The only challenge for my mom and I were the steps since it’s like a townhouse. Bedrooms were on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Very dog friendly area. We would definitely go back!

Nicely decorated living space with a great view of the ocean and an owner who was responsive to our concern when the water heater quit working.

Kitchen is very well equipped (good pts and pans, pretty dishes, sharpe knives) and the washer and dryer fantastic.. The townhouse is well decorated and laid out. A very livable space for out 3 month stay. The owner was very responsive to a minor problem and just a lovely person to talk with!!! Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay for Thanksgiving week. Great location and perfect for our needs. They have everything you need! We will definitely come back!

I was disappointed because I told our host that my partner would be in a wheelchair. We talked about beach access, and we were able to use the wheelchair except for the steep incline at the end of the ramp. At no time did our host tell me that there were 21 steps that my partner would have to climb. The first 7 were before we could even get in. This is not a property for over 70 to carry stuff up so many stairs and not for people who can't manage stairs. Except for showers, we lived on the first floor:

Property was as listed and met all our needs. Very well stocked and ready for enjoyment. Beach was only a few steps away and the weather could not have been any nicer. We drove the last night to the bridge area for an awesome sunset, along with several island visitors. There was also a beautiful sunrise this last morning. We made many memories and hope to be back on the island in the future. Food was also great ! We took the Highway 98 cruise to Mexico Beach on the way home. So thankful they are busy rebuilding in the area.

Nice condo tucked away on St George’s Island. Great view of the pool and good view of the ocean especially from the upper deck. Loved the boardwalk access from the unit to the pool and beach. Having a hose to wash off feet before entering unit was a nice touch. Furniture and beds were clean and comfortable.

First of all, it just doesn't get any better than St. George. Gosh: what a magical place. Also: getting to and from the beach was wonderful. It took us about 30 seconds to walk from the porch to the beach. The condo was adorable and clean, and perfect for the 5 of us. Thank you so much!!! We hope to be back very soon.

We have stayed at many houses on SGI. This is the second time in Ocean Mile but this condo was amazing. Loved how close to the beach it was! Perfect for us and Kamala was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We hope to be back!

Love the short walk to the beach! All the small things provided in this unit was a really big help! By far the softest beds for any place we have ever stayed! But the unit could use a good deep cleaning, the master balcony was concerning so we didn't use it. The ants on the lower balcony drove me crazy! They kept getting on everything we sat down so I kept finding them in the unit. Couldn't even sit down without them crawling all on you! Lastly, it would had been nice to know that the unit has 3 flights of stairs. I expected a few steps but not that many. It made for a hard time with my knee. But over all it was a wonderful vacation! Very quiet, almost no traffic, no drunk ppl, and the crabs was running the beach day and night!

Check in process was smooth and we were provided with so much information for our stay! I ended up bringing things we didn’t need (extra toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.). The unit is very spacious and accommodating. Owner replies promptly to emails. The pool and ocean are within steps of the unit! You can tell they are updating the property/units at 300 ocean mile, as well. It is a very well maintained property and complex!

But . . . The not great thing: someone had turned off the air. This place can't have been vacant long based on the date of the last review (we stayed beginning April 12), so the air can't have been off too long. We immediately noticed a musty smell when we entered. My two girls (ages 3 and 7) stayed in the bunk room (converted closet-like room) off the owner's suite. The vent there had significant mold-like growth. There were other vents with similar growth. I took pictures and let the owner know on the 13th. Sadly, that night, I had to rush the three year old to the ER for an epinephrine breathing treatment (she has not been diagnosed with asthma, we even followed up with a specialist when we got home). We moved the girls to the second, better ventilated, bedroom and had no other issues other than a runny nose and cough. I've hesitated to write the honest review. Why? Well, we loved the place other than this problem. It's fantastic. I was also afraid I'd get a bad review in return. And by letting a month pass, I had hoped I'd get an e-mail from the owner showing there had been a solution to the problem. But I haven't received any follow up since she initially responded to say she'd have maintenance look into it and remind housekeeping to leave the air on. That left me feeling compelled to speak up.

Great place!

The unit has everything you need. It was spacious for 6 of us. Note: the pool is not heated which was a disappointment because we couldn’t swim. The beach is beautiful. However we were unable to swim in it because of the red flags.(windy weather) . We hope to go back when it is a little warmer and hopefully can use the beach more. Such a beautiful island. Must stop by piggly wiggly Express for a cinnamon roll.

We especially enjoyed the location near the state park, which allowed for long walks on empty beach, bike rides on the bike path (also to the west end of the island), and renting canoes in the park. The property had everything the three of us needed for a comfortable week-long stay. We enjoyed the nice view, especially from the top balcony and having meals on the small porch downstairs during the warm weather.
