Great location on a quiet side street, up a hill looking down on the town of Ludlow valley with a view to the west as the sun goes down behind Okemo . Beds were comfortable. More blankets wouldn't hurt. If bedroom doors were shut heat was unavailable in some of the rooms.

Our stay was great! The house was beautiful and spacious, with great views of Okemo! It was only about a 5 minute ride to the mountain and the town, which was perfect! We enjoyed our time at the house and the hosts, John & Megan were kind and easy to communicate with!

This house is a great home base for a ski weekend at Okemo Mountain. We enjoyed the open family room/ kitchen for hanging out apres ski and the great view of the mountain from the big windows. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The house is under two miles to the mountain and also right near the grocery store and restaurants. The kids loved their bedroom with the trundle bed. One thing to note is that you need to walk through this bedroom to get to the master bedroom. The third upstairs bedroom is across the hall and the fourth is downstairs next to the kitchen. We hope to be able to return for another Okemo trip sometime!

The one thing I will add is that two of the bedrooms are connected. Up stairs The large bedroom access is through the bedroom that sleeps four it was okay for us since it was my kids. The homeowners where wonderful and very quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this property.

Overall we enjoyed our five days in this Vermont property. We used it as a home base for hikes in the area. As others have noted, this house has the most amazing views of Okemo. Each morning and evening we were mesmerized by the changing landscape as the sun rose or set, fog rolled in or mist filled the air. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen and living/dining room were nice. The gas fired soapstone stove kept the whole house cozy. Two other bedrooms are quite small and the third is a pass-through to the master bedroom. That worked well for us, but might be difficult if several couples were sharing the house. When we first arrived, we discovered that no one had been there (possibly for several weeks) to check the property, so there were some issues— cobwebs at the front door and bathrooms that required us to get out the sanitizing wipes and other cleaning equipment to make it acceptable. We contacted the owner, and he regretted that the housekeeper hadn’t shown up. But by then we’d already done the essential cleaning. That was a problem we’ve never encountered in other rentals. Also, it turns out you have to bring your own blankets, quilt and towels which we learned after booking but luckily before leaving home. So we packed all of that. It’s good to know ahead of time in case that’s not something you typically expect in a rental. The house came with essentials (toilet paper, coffee filters, etc) but the owner won’t guarantee it. So you have to pack all of that as well. On the positive side, the house is in a great location…so close to Ludlow that you can easily get what you need plus enjoy shops, restaurants etc, if that’s what you are looking for. We were looking for easy access to hiking and we found that in abundance. It was nice to come back to a great fire pit to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun slip away. Be sure to make plans to have some kindling, newspapers and matches to get that fire going. Don’t transport kindling from afar! Overall the house was good for our purposes and we enjoyed our stay there. I’m fairly confident the glitches we faced are not typical.

The views are simply amazing. We loved sitting outside on the porch as much as possible. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, but thankfully there are tons of games and movies. We had a great time experiencing Ludlow during the summer.

We had an amazing weekend getaway with our family! The photos don't even do this place justice! It's so relaxing and has everything you need for a comfortable stay! We enjoyed the deck overlooking Okemo Mountain, grilling and making s'mores at the fire pit! Highly recommend!

We loved it!

This place was perfect and everything we needed for a few days to get away with our family and friends. We had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 6 -13) to ski for a few days at Okemo. The place was great, owner was responsive and helpful and you can’t beat the view!

This is a very functional adorable house in "the woods". We stayed during the summer and with the trees all filled in you can not see the neighbors. You can hear a bit of traffic with the nearby main road, but it is not particularly bothersome. The show stopper for this house is the mountain view. The living room has the largest picture window I have ever seen and the view is hubba hubba! This same view can be found in the master bedroom. The house comes equipped with pretty much everything you need. There were also a few spices and kitchen essentials which was very helpful. We also enjoyed the fire pit which was lovey for deep conversation and a glass of pinot noir. The owner was very responsive with any questions and concerns we had. Enjoy!

Super cute, perfect for our group of 9 with large open room connected with kitchen. Huge living room window (and bedroom above) with an unobstructed view of Okemo. Not a ski in/out but otherwise short drive to mountain bases. Even on a weekend, parking and 300-400 yard walk or shuttle to base had us on the slopes within 15-20 minutes from walking out the door.
