This property is immaculately maintained, very quiet and private, with bright yet cozy space and excellent location within a short distance to Taughannock Park and waterfalls, Trumansburg, Cayuga Lake, the Black Diamond trail, local wineries, and Ithaca.

The apartment was cozy for two people. It was a good central location to visit hiking trails and wineries.

So many things to do and see in the Finger Lakes and Trumansburg is a wonderful little town to be based. The apartment is clean and quiet with everything you need and location is great!

Everything that we needed in the property, good location for what we wanted to do in the Finger Lakes area and wonderful birds in the garden. Breakfasts at the the Falls Restaurant were great with a warm welcome. Book the Hazelnut Kitchen ahead if you want to go there. Moosewood in Ithaca was delicious.

This was a great place to stay for a long weekend where I spent time exploring around Cayuga and Senaca Lakes. Very clean. Hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive.

The apartment is definitely a little small, but it was fine for us for a few nights while we enjoyed local hiking and food. The property is beautiful and it's super close to hiking Taughannock. We loved the feeling of being lost in the woods! Loretta was super responsive and easy to work with. We barely heard the downstairs tenants (sorry for when we dropped a metal water bottle on the floor...)!

Apartment was lovely and in a great location...quaint, quiet. Had everything we needed and was a comfortable place to come back to after hiking and visiting wineries. Host is very helpful.

Friendly landlord, quaint apartment and easy access in and out around the area. Close to Ithaca, vineyards, Cayuga lake and surrounding areas. Well stocked with necessities if needed.

We had such a wonderful two nights at the Eagles Nest, Loretta was easy to coordinate with and thought of everything we could possibly need. The apartment was lovely and in such a good location, we spent tons of time at Taughannock Falls and an amazing afternoon at Watkins Glen. We couldn’t have been happier!

Very clean and very accommodating. Great location & close to many restaurants and parks.

We had a very pleasant stay at this well-kept apartment. It had everything we needed, including toiletries and a well outfitted kitchen. It’s very quiet and remote but very close to Taughannock State Park, as advertised. We had family in Ithaca and another nearby State Park so it was very convenient for our family.

Wonderful 2 nights. Comfortable clean apartment. Water tastes terrible but the owner left a gallon of spring water in the fridge for coffee and drinking so it was no problem! The location can’t be beat. So many nearby sights to see, restaurants to eat at and hikes to take. Really appreciated the guest book full of information and recommendations. The property is so peaceful and the river right across the road alone is worth a scrabble around.

Comfortable, well-appointed apartment just beyond the west end of Taughannock park. You're almost in the park and minutes from the falls overlook. We stayed here for a wedding at the Taughannock Inn and drove to Ithaca for sightseeing and a boat ride (15 min away).

We had no problem finding our apartment and everything was available with towels, kitchenware and cleaning supplies to keep the area nice. We were close to all of the activities that we had on our list to do in the area as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience for our mini getaway.

We really enjoyed our weekend here, at the Eagles Nest! Great location, well equipped and so comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at the Eagle’s Nest for four nights. It is as described, and was perfect for us. We visited close friends around Ithaca and explored the many waterfalls and natural areas. A few things we particularly appreciated (these will seem random, but if you travel, you will understand): the comfortable bed; the amazing air conditioning (it was hot during our stay); the roomy shower with nice water pressure; the well-stocked kitchen; the quiet and lovely setting to return to after a busy day…thank you for a wonderful stay!

My fiance and I stayed here while we were wedding venue hunting in the area and it was the perfect place for a couple to spend a few nights. The apartment was all the space you needed for two people. It was affordable, clean, quiet, and the backyard is lovely (although it was pouring when we came). The apartment also has a small kitchen which had most of what you need to whip up an easy meal for one of those rainy, cozy nights when you're staying in. It was a 5 min. drive to Cayuga Lake and the Taughonnack Falls. I recommend staying here!

This was in the best location to see all the trails and surrounding towns were only minutes away. Quiet and peaceful and the owners are kind and caring

This property, aptly named the Eagle's Nest because it is perched on the top floor of an archetypical upstate New York farmhouse, is absolutely ideal for a couple. The one caveat is you must be able to negotiate stairs. The setting is terrific -- along a quiet road and adjacent stream -- a few miles out of the quiet village of Trumansburg and same distance to a great state park. All amenities within the property are as described. Responsive and nice hosts. I'll be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, cozy a little apartment. It’s close all the major attractions. I would recommend people to bring their food if they plan on cooking because grocery stores are far away. A wonderful little place!

First, the bare facts: This 2nd-floor apt. is above the owner’s house. The bed was very comfortable. The apt. was very clean, especially the bathroom, everything works, and all the interactions with the owners were very welcoming, straightforward and transparent. The owners gave us extremely valuable advice on local events and restaurants. The apt is small but the space is used very intelligently. We never felt cramped . There are 18 steps in an outdoor staircase to the door, but the steps are wide and rock solid. We always eat-in in our VRBO’s and we found the kitchen to have everything we needed logically and conveniently placed. But the highlight is OUTSIDE the apt. The rural grounds around the house were alive with birds. There was a nesting pair of Balitmore Orioles visible from the kitchen window! Taughannock Creek is adjacent to the property. Taughannock Falls State Park is an easy walk away. This is a pretty little place in a unique and extraordinary location. Highest recommendation.

Super clean property, nice little sun room / dining area that overlooks gardens with lots of birds to watch on feeders. The owners live underneath but didn't hear them at all. In a quiet area, but close enough to walk to the falls state park nearby. Its a compact property so great as a base for seeing the area during the day rather than lounging around.

Our lovely hosts Loretta and Steve were wonderful. The apartment is comfortable and overlooks their gardens and a rock garden terrace with numerous bird feeders. It was a delightful stay, and we even extended a day on either end of our reserved dates.

We loved our stay here! Loretta and Steve are so friendly and welcoming. Their cute little apartment was perfect for us and located in such a great area! We were able to fit in tons of our favorite kinds of activities. The main street in Trumansburg has amazing gems like Atlas Bowl and Hazelnut Kitchen, Alpaca Farm Tours not far from there, and only 20 minutes from downtown Ithaca. Thank you for such a great experience!
