The Beachwalk community was a great place to stay. There was so much for our teenage sons and their friends to do at the house. They really enjoyed the pool table and all of the sports memorabilia. Quite a collection! They also got into the board games and played those, too.

What a great place! There were 8 of us, and we had such a great time. The house slept so many…we had plenty of room. We love the resort area with so much to do. The golf cart was used everyday too! Thanks so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Anders met us upon check in to welcome us. Everything was very detailed in the check in process. Great house, very clean, nice location and lots of amenities!! Would definitely rent again! It was perfect for our girls trip!!

Anders is a wonderful host -- super responsive and helpful. Valhalla was great and loved the amenities and proximity to Lake Michigan, the pool and clubhouse.

We loved the house. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. There were plenty of sleeping options and perfect for our little ones.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciate all that Andrea did to make it so.

We loved our stay here, the property is clean and exactly as the description reads. The area/resort is very nice and secure, if we had one and only complaint (which is entirely out of the owners control) is the closeness/congestion of the property next to others. Many of the surrounding homes are absolutely beautiful, but we did notice how easily sound traveled from other properties. The parking is minimal (3 cars fit) but there is an overflow just down the road for any other vehicles. The game room downstairs was a great time, but it is a tight fit even for just a few people (again out of the owners hands!) but was a fun time. A light in the basement bedroom also often flickered on/off, but overall we had a great experience!

Anders was the best host I’ve ever rented from. He was very helpful, detailed about instructions/rules. He was also very rapid with responding. The place very clean, stocked up, warm, exciting, and plenty space for the two family’s.

We had an amazing stay at Valhalla to spend Christmas with family! The beach house was beautiful and a great space to make memories with our kids and family.

They house is great., everything you could need. Arrived at night and it was very hard to locate the home. Our overall stay was great just wish we didn’t have such a hard time finding the home at night.

We loved the Valhalla property. Great location within the Beachwalk community. Close to park, fishing, and the beach. All within a 5 minute golf cart ride. Everything worked as you would expect. Check in and out was a breeze and the instructions easy to follow. All amenities were in working condition and most appeared new. Although this was just our family could easily fit two families within the house. Plan on coming back!

This property was absolutely charming. What a surprise to drive into this lovely neighborhood. We picked the perfect time of year (although we were told summer is prime time) the leaves were changing; the air was cool and crisp. Perfect weather for taking the golf cart out to enjoy nature. Quite & peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. Early morning walks and long evenings on the porch sipping some wine from the local winery. The hosts were amazing & kind. The house itself was spectacular! Everything we needed was supplied throughout the house. Definitely 10 out of 10.

This was our first girl's trip to Michigan City. The accommodations were excellent!! The host was on site and very responsive!! The environment was peace, relaxing and in a great location. I will definitely rent this house again.

Vahala is a nice vacation property for all ages. Plenty of space for dining, lounging, and play. The outdoor spaces - the screened in porch and front porch were both great. The living room, small but seated 6 comfortably. The TVs were easy to use, once the Wi-Fi was connected. The kitchen table and bar allowed for plenty of dining space. They do have some spices and seasonings in the pantry for you to use. There was also dish soap and trash bags. The trash was conveniently located. Overall the property was clean. It is a haul to the beach without a cart so renting a golf cart is highly recommended. The bikes were decent and the shared fire pit outside were a great touch. The host was great at communication.

Home was well appointed, especially the kitchen with everything you need. Owner is very helpful and responsive. Neighborhood is very family friendly with easy access to the beach. The golf cart, pool, fire pit and activity area were an added bonus!

I rented Vahalla and East of the Sun. (311 and 313 Childers way)My brother rented the Trolls Den . Houses were great no complaints. Sleeping arrangements- be flexible. Kitchen facilities great. Go to Al's supermarket on us 12 for ice and food and cvs across street on us 12 rather than across town. Take advantage of karaoke in East of Sun. A lot of fun. Parking can be a trick depending if more than 3 cars per house at Vahalla and East of Sun. Only one car for trolls den. Get a permit from owner to park in overflow lot a couple of blocks away. House facilities plenty of couches and chairs for socializing and family games.. very nice especially in East of sun where I stayed. Needed card tables and chairs for playing cards.. Golf carts available for Vahalla and East of Sun. Useful and fun. Rented tennis Pavillion in Washington Park for family gatherings from city parks and recreation.

It was a great stay . we only reserved it for two nights just to give it a try , I regret that it was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back

This is a great property to gather as a family. We had so much fun exploring the area in the golf cart! I don't think Anders could be any more helpful or nice, thank you so much! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep and enjoy meals together. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. And the shared firepit and bikes were a great addition for a fun filled vacation!

Fun, eclectic venue. It has everything you need. Beds are comfortable, pool and beach are nice and close. Well-equipped for children. Host was helpful and accessible.

We really loved our Girls' Getaway at Valhalla at the beginning of June! The home was just as described by Anders and all of the other positive reviews. Our favorites: the pricing*, golf cart, the shared fire pit (available for Anders and the other 3 homes he rents out to on the shared lots...we loved meeting new people during our stay), a bedroom with bathroom for each of us, open concept on the main floor (we liked the size for our group of 4, but it would get cramped quickly if everyone that occupied an actual sleeping space was there at once for a meal or group game), the extra amenities provided (board games/ card games, movies/ books {older variety in general}, video game system, outdoor games, fishing equipment, beach toys, beach chairs, and bikes), all of the Beachwalk amenities (with ease of use or ease of scheduling), and the friendliness of everyone in this community (whether homeowners, renters or workers). My only concerns were regarding the organization of the kitchen supplies and the unlocked closet downstairs that contained the table saw. These two concerns certainly did not take away from our wonderful stay. We are already talking about our trip back next year!! *Note: I truly appreciate the upfront, detailed and all-inclusive pricing when booking (cleaning fee already built in). After reading the reviews, I was aware that there would be a small additional fee per person for the resort wristbands...if wanted/ not mandated if not using any of the resort amenities. Initially I would have preferred to pay as part of the booking, but I liked that Anders reached out to me just prior to our stay to find out the exact number of wristbands that we would need. This way, we only paid for what we actually needed to account for any last minute guest count. Anders made the payment process seamless/ without any additional steps, and the wristbands were on the counter when we arrived.

Valhalla was perfect for our group of adults, kids, and an infant. The front porch was the perfect place to relax. Anders is close by and very responsive, helpful, and friendly. Would definitely come back!

We took full advantage of the pool, shuffleboard, sandy beach, fishing, bocce ball, kayaks, and ice cream shop. There was something for everyone. Even toys, books, and stroller for my boys while we were there. I loved the proximity to the pool and club house: definitely walking distance but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise. Be sure to bring a sleep mask if light bothers you though. We would definitely come back! Thank you!

We were 8 adults and a teen on retreat together. Valhalla was great and the Beachwalk community too. The living room is quite small--we underestimated its size in the pictures--but its coziness worked out okay for us. The gas fireplace was a hit. It also had one of the best furnished kitchens I've had in a rental. The bunk beds were not especially comfortable for adults (but I suppose are usually used by kids). Easy walk to the beach. Anders was a great host, accommodating of our request for a later check out, and a speedy responder to inquiries. We'd definitely stay again!
