I’ve done a lot of travel (in my opinion) and stayed in a lot of diferent properties. I’ve been in hospitality bussines for the past 20 years. this is maybe the worst 4*+ hotel I ever stayed. miss communication between the staff (3 diferent times) location of the room THE ROOM !!!!!!!!! nobody serve you in the lobby in most the the day

The room I stayed in at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, it was not as advertised in the photos. I found the layout to be completely different from what was shown online. The toilet, sink and shower were all in different places, which was not what I had expected. When I inquired with the hotel staff about this, they were dismissive and rude, claiming that they couldn't take photos of every single room. However, I later learned that all Standard King Rooms have this room layout, with the shower not even having a door, which made me feel very cold whenever I showered. Adding to my dissatisfaction, the room was located on the far side of the hotel, which meant I had to take two elevators and a staircase just to reach it from the reception desk. When I complained to both the hotel staff and to booking.com, they were unhelpful and suggested that I simply find somewhere else to stay. They also informed me that I would only be refunded for two out of the three nights of my stay, which I found completely unacceptable. Despite the fact that my colleagues were also staying at this hotel and there were no other available rooms in Rotterdam, the staff did not seem to care about my discomfort. They repeatedly told me that since I had booked through booking.com, it was not their responsibility to ensure that the room layout was accurately represented. I was disappointed with the breakfast as well, as there wasn't much variety for a hotel that claims to be 5-star. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was not what I had expected, the staff were unhelpful and rude, and the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

clean and smart hotel, lovely finish to the rooms and building. very spacious room for Dutch hotels which can be quite small in the older buildings. bikes to rent very useful and all facilities were great

The design of the hotel amazing, we really liked it. The room was very clean and followed the design of the location. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, the check-in was uncomplicated. A must is the visit of the hotel bar. Breakfast is okay.

Breakfast for 22 EUR was way too simple. Also I was not asked whether to pay with EUR or USD and my card was automatically charged in USD which resulted in some loss due to exchange rates.

Everything was great. The rooms are designed for comfort, privacy (separate closed toilet and shower rooms), and efficiency (lots of hanging hooks, surface areas to put stuff, etc.). The staff, especially in the bar and restaurant were terrific. We also ate at the restaurant one night and the food was excellent. Location is perfect -- quiet yet tram, metro, restaurants and bars are all within one block.

staff were so lovely and very helpful. The room was lovely, really comfortable. metro and tram just a 100m walk up the road. Lidl next door as well.

nothing really, I would recommend to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as can hear traffic. But apart from that I would recommend staying here

Nice, interesting room styling, warm and friendly staff, decent variety of food for breakfast (may be not lavish, but certainly good), great with tidying up the room no matter when we leave "please make the room" outside the door.

For travellers, do remember it is a bit off the central station. Walking in the Netherlands is fine since its quite flat terrain, but it can get windy and drizzly every few minutes. The restaurant and bar are open only for limited hours, and that too not on all days. However, the staff are helpful and inform you of ways to order your food and are kind enough to deliver it to the door. Oh and we stayed for 4 nights, we'd have been happier if they were to change the bedsheets at least once. We can't complain on this because we did not ask for it... would have been a nice gesture though :) .

Room wasn't super clean and our room was located above a loading platform belonging to the supermarket which was in de same building. At 7 a.m. we were awakened because of al the noise coming from the lorries stoping under our window.

Location is perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the facilities are great. The room was comfortable but housekeeping in the room was not great

Housekeeping could have been better and also the lighting in the room could have ahd an option for brighter lighting. Everything else was perfect.

Staff was super friendly, I stayed two weeks, felt like home.

We liked the hotel, even though not all was flawless. The routing in the room was a bit odd: after the use of the toilet, one had to walk through the bedroom to the bathroom to wash your hands. That is inconvenient. The building itself and the history is great.

On Sunday morning, the breakfast was crowded, and a lot of things were empty. It was pretty sad. I made a comment on that at the check out, as it was as if the staff at the breakfast was cought by a surprise. But you know how many rooms are booked right? They were stressed and lost. Better planning is required. I mentioned this at the front desk when checking out. They said ‘ o okay, sorry about that’. We had to pay €22 per person per night at the hotel. That’s a lot for coffee and a small donut.
