The location was perfect! You can see the gulf from the top deck. The place is tired and needs some love. For example, blinds in living room don't open, at least one of the burners on the stove is 'high' only. Cigarette butts on the patio. Most of the games were unplayable. Remotes have no batteries or need replacing.

This rental has everything we needed to relax and have a good time. The only thing is the power was not working when we first arrived. We had to reset the circuit breakers once we found them. Other than that it was clean, well stocked and they even had some extra items to help with what we forgot.

Literally 10 min before walking out the door from San Antonio, we were told by Padre Escapes on the phone that the 1 bedroom condo that was book 2 days prior that would accommodate my two 55lb dogs would not be available because of the dog wt. so instead of almost 800.00 I had to upgrade to a 3 bedroom condo 1300.00. this was a real bummer. No communication, what a trap. Make sure your needs are met before signing with Padre escapes. What a waste.

Most of Everything was good. Under the bed was dury. The top floor was really hot. We try to put lower the ac unit but be couldn't. The door from the balcony was really hard to open. But the rest of the house was perfectly we had a good time. Thank you. Hope to stay again at this property.

We enjoyed the view of the water from the balcony and how spacious the rental was. Everything was clean and organized very well. It was nice being so close to the beach. We made lasting family memories. One recommendation is the repair the dryer. It wasn’t drying properly. Everything else was great!

By looking at the photos, we were so excited to stay there. Finally, we entered the home, there was a noticeable smell that we couldn’t tolerate staying there. They kept some areas with dried palm leaves, which have multiple layers of dust. The carpet on the stair case (which is not in the photos) is too stinky, it’s like someone poured the water and didn’t dry it properly, it’s very old one. We couldn’t get proper sleep and we had to purchase cetirizine pills to take some relief from that dust allergy. Imagine how it would be to pay money to get the respiratory troubles. It’s not safe for the health, will get serious respiratory issues. The next house in the same complex seemed to be perfectly fine. We did check with those tenants, and smell that home, it was producing pleasant smell. But the home that we stayed is too bad. This is my first experience in the Airbnb and lost the hopes of stating at Airbnb next time!

After checking in, we had an issue with this particular Tiki condo and didn't end up staying here. But the management team, Padre Escapes, were absolutely wonderful, and worked so quickly to put us in another beautiful condo in the same complex. We had a wonderful stay and loved how close to the beach we were. I would 100% stay here again.

It would be nice to know where public beach access is. While the place is across the road for the beach, if you are walking, there is a seawall, so you need to know where you can get off the boardwalk to get to the beach itself!

Not enough towels and uncomfortable bed in one of the bedrooms and the pullout bed mattress was very uncomfortable, me and my husband had to sleep on the sofa downstairs, but otherwise it was large enough for our family. The view from the balcony overlooking the beach is beautiful when the sun comes up. Access to beach was good, only a couple of minutes walk. All in all we would definitely stay again.

The townhome is new and clean, close to the beach as well. The size is good for 4-6 people. We had a wonderful weekend there.

Only issue is that it doesn’t really comfortably sleep as many people as advertised. The pull out bed in the living room makes it really hard to walk through the room and the pullout bed under the bunk beds gets in the way of people getting out of the middle bed. Also the upstairs couch is terribly uncomfortable as a bed since it has uncushioned metal bars. So book this place if you are a group of like 7 or 8 people, not 11 :/

Loved the unit but was VERY concerned with the dryer! The lint trap was broken and no way to clean it. You have a FIRE waiting to happen. 3 hrs to dry 2 towels that were still soaked. Main bathroom shower head is broken. (Points towards the wall). Other than that, loved it except for the power going out for 5 hrs our first night there! Might want to invest in some flashlights and candles for renters. We had to use cell phone lights to get around.

My husband & I booked this place for our family to join us for our wedding on Whitecap Beach. The property is even better than the photos. Everything was very clean, with more than enough space for our family. We only had a small issue with a breaker, but the owner, Mike, came out & fixed the issue quickly. The small touches really made this place stand out. The view from the balcony is beautiful. We would definitely book this property again.

Absolutely Wonderful
My husband & I booked this place for our family to join us for our wedding on Whitecap Beach. The property is even better than the photos. Everything was very clean, with more than enough space for our family. We only had a small issue with a breaker, but the owner, Mike, came out & fixed the issue quickly. We really enjoyed our stay in this house, the location is perfect. We were able to walk to the beach with a 5 mins walk on a small sandy green path or like 7 minutes by the public parking lot. The house is roomy and has a lot space to hangout. Love the Margarita machine, the decorations and love the balcony on the master room with the beautiful view of the beach. The house came with most of the stuff you need to cook, enough to get by. They provided some coffee filters, some dish soap and one laundry detergent package. Plenty of white shower towels and blankets! The only issue I have was that the house looks clean, but it was not deep cleaned. Once we arrived, I went around and disinfected the entire house to make sure was good for my kids and I found so much dust. I used Clorox wipes on a lot of places and I found tables with dust and the stairwell handle was so dirty. Behind the beds were so much dust and dirt, like if no one wiped it for months. The house does have a little of musky smell, maybe is the stairwell carpet, it looks stained and needs to be replace. The rental company is really responsive, we had an small issue with the master sink not draining and they fixed right away and we had some issue with people parking in our spots and they took care immediately. I would definitely recommend this house. They just need a new cleaning company. I can wait to come back next year!

Great house, great location
