Bedding could’ve been a bit cleaner. However when we requested new bedding as the ones given had stains they did change it

We stayed in this hotel for a week but in the end of our staying we decided to book one more week in here! Delicious free breakfast each morning (they had 3 different options including fresh fruits, juice and tea/coffee). Room was very clean with private pool (water was always clean and filtered), we had shower just outside surrounded by local plants and it gave very unique vibe (if you are scared of little bugs or spiders they have rooms with indoors shower as well). Air conditioner and fan was also in the room and it helped a lot during hot days inside. They do provide all toiletries you need and do room service. There was no noise around even tho the hotel itself is in the city centre. The beach is like 5min walk. Staff was amazing! Very helpful and always with the smile!

There was one tiny problem during our stay in there - the internet signal was poor...

Really enjoyed our stay at Anama. Staff went above and beyond. Breakfast was great and it was very reasonably priced for a villa with a private pool. Would definitely recommend.

Wow where do I start! I stayed at Anama for my birthday and they went above and beyond to accomodate me and my family. They arranged for a cake on the morning of my birthday, the manager was always around to ask questions and ask for local advice, he was kind, the accomodation was a short 5 min walk from the beach and right in the town, the room was amazing and had its own private pool, the rooms were super spacious. Overall a great stay.

My only criticism would be to have a mirror in the room

Private pool, great value for money, we payed $45 bucks per night for a family room.

No mosquito nets, lots of gaps in de windows and doors so these bloodsuckers could fly into the room. Had to kill the biggest cockroach i've seen in my life and some of his smaller friends to keep my family safe. Payment was only cash, despite card on the booking.com website. Reading this in more reviews, so bring cash. No pool towels, no room cleaning.

The design, the private pool, location, and the friendly staff were great! The room was also quite comfortable and breakfast was nice. We would come back!

I was very sick at the time and the person in charge ( I don’t know if he’s the owner ) was extremely kind and helpful and helped me a lot.sorry I forgot his name. he even allowed me to rest in the room for a few more hours after check out without extra charge. very kind man .

I really enjoyed my stay at the Anama Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I could ask anything and I received an answer and / or help. I also asked for dinner on short notice and it was delicious. The breakfast was fantastic. I really liked my room and the pool - it’s very nice to have a private pool.

The friendly staff was so helpful with everything! Big and clean rooms with our own pool outside!

The accommodation it's very nice, with a common pool, big rooms, outside shower, private pool. If you are searching for a luxurious place, this will satisfy your needs at a good price compared to other countries.

It's noise because of some clubs nearby, and in the morning when the pump starts to change the water in the private pool. Missing some facilities like trash bin in the room, hairdryer. The nearest beach it's 15 min. walk. Pricey breakfast compared to other Sri Lankan locations.

This is good place for relax. Very silent. No noisy. Absolutely brilliant and friendly personal who helped us all the time with everything. Good cooking, you can order what you want any time. Just do it in advance. Near the beach. Good restaurant there. No people - no stress. Nice place for relax vacation. (in 20 meters good massage with good price).

The water in swimming poll was little colder when wished) Not big problem but still. Waves in the ocean quite big and maybe you will need to go to anther beach. But personal help you with tuk-tuk)

A very pleasant place with beautiful rooms and very helpful staff. Our host was super friendly and helped us with everything: he show we a beach and found a scooter for us (special tanks)! We booked a big room with private pool - everything was excellent. If you want to have some rest there please mind monkeys and other animals - you can find iguanas or insects But that's OK - all of them are not dangerous. There were some stores and fruit shops there, but I advice you to use scooter and try big shops like Keels. So, this place is highly recomended!

1. You can't pay by bank card. It's not critical but you have to spend some times finding ATM-machines (don't forget about local banks limits). 2. The bathrooms drain works not perfectly.

no wifi till the last night. water switched off on last night whilst wife was washing her hair! imagine the drama. also stains on bed sheets.

Mahendra was there whenever we needed him to help us find the way to places and troubleshoot problems like WiFi connection. He was friendly and had brilliant English and ensured we had a great stay, giving us advice about the surrounding regions. The location was a short walk to beach bars, restaurants and shops which was very handy. Every room has a private pool which was a good size which we loved relaxing in. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including kettle, TV, WiFi, hot water shower, toiletries and air con and a large fan to keep bugs away.

It didn’t have a mosquito net however this didn’t really bother us as there is an overhead fan and plug in mosquito repellant.

The stay at anama tangalle was perfect. My room was big and clean. The bed is comfortable and the AC is nice :) The host is so friendly and will always help you if you have questions. Only 5 minutes walk to the beach.

The best on this accomodation was the guy working there. He was incredible friendly and kind. He gave us all the information which we needed. He provided us all service. The room was modern, quite and clean.

There was no hot water and you cannot pay accomodation by card.

The guys there are wonderful. So helpful and friendly and attentive. Couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Beautiful vibe, beautiful place, beautiful people, beautiful time

we were among the first guests to stay at Anama Tangalle whilst travelling through Sri Lanka as a family over the holidays. Arjuna, his family and staff were most welcoming within what is a central oasis close to the heart of Tangalle. Shops, transport, restaurants etc are within walking distance though you wouldn’t know it when relaxing poolside at Anama.
