The unit was very clean on the surface and decorated nicely. However, we found candy wrappers in the couch bed and the sheets to the couch bed had crumbs on it when we arrived. Also, in the bedrooms there were items left in the drawers from previous occupants. The garbage disposal also did not work at all in the kitchen sink. Other than that the water and beach was beautiful and the condo was nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the Islander. The unit was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The view from the 6th floor was absolutely stunning! We had a problem with the AC upon arrival and the maintenance staff was very quick to come fix it. Our kids loved the pool! We would definitely recommend the Islander and Brooks and Shorey!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean. Except for the glass table. It was pretty nasty so we picked up the glass and cleaned all the crumbs and sticky whatever up and put the glass back down. The condo lacked cookie sheet to bake biscuits and large bowl(used a pot) We were in 3 different Condo's. As for everything else in the Condo itself I have no complaints. The Condo, sheets and towels were clean.

A great location with a stunning view. We had a great time. Condo was nice and had all the kitchen items we needed.

We were very disappointed in our stay this year because the condo was very dirty. The furniture was so stained that it was unpleasant to sit on and the floors were filthy. Bedroom carpets were dirty, and there was a build up of dust on fans and bathroom fixtures. Slats missing on the vertical blinds had been stashed behind the sofa. Balcony furniture was stained and one of the high top chairs had a broken arm. The artwork was faded and the glass was dirty. It was also surprising that the balcony door had condensation between the panes leaving it so cloudy that you couldn’t really see clearly through it to enjoy the view. Appliances were fine, but kitchen was poorly stocked. Mismatched dishes, lack of coffee mugs, no storage containers, tongs, whisk, etc. We have rented condos in Ft. Walton many times in the past ten years and have never been so disappointed. We would have looked for another condo if we hadn’t already invested so much in this one.

Enjoyed our stay however we will not be coming back to this condo. Our first night was spent cleaning the whole condo. Found a half ate brownie, a bottle of water and 2 empty cans of tobacco under the beds. The whole condo looked and felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The furniture is in terrible shape. The carpets are also in need of being replaced in the bedrooms. The only thing kind of nice was the updated floors in the main area. However, my family just goes with the flow and does what has to be done so we didn’t make it a big deal or let it ruin our trip.

Also.., I do NOT cook on vacation... but I do make breakfast casseroles and I was shocked there was not a 9x13 Pyrex. Also no tongs to flip bacon.... And only 2 normal coffee mugs. There’s lots of coffee cups... but they’re tiny and look more like espresso cups than coffee cups. Also... not one Tupperware or plastic dish for leftovers. Literally nothing to store food in after the fact.....Random. There’s carpet in the bedrooms and it isn’t as bad as it looks in the pics but should prob be replaced too. Master shower is new and had no issues in the bathroom whatsoever. Overall I’d stay in the unit again.... What a beautiful view
It was exactly what we were looking for ... beach access; hearing and seeing the beach with our morning coffees and evening drinks from the balcony; far enough away from hotels with Spring Breakers. Truthfully we didn't venture out do anything, besides walking and reading on the beach, relaxing and doing nothing.
The condo was clean, simple, and felt bigger than we thought it would be, layout was good.

Guess when you rent at the end of the season you expect things to be a little worn and tired, the living room chairs needed to be cleaned, carpets in the bedroom need replacing, very dirty. black mold in the master shower. Kitchen was clean. Really enjoyed the big balcony. We made the best of it and enjoyed our stay.
