The organization and initial communication of the owner made it easy to stay in touch (until he got annoyed at being asked to fix all the broken things), and then stopped responding. The provision of towels was good, and the location is good for skiing out, but not skiing in from both sides.

I am trying to be balanced, but overall, the experience with this rental was pretty terrible. We are a group of skiers who didn’t necessarily come to Tignes for a big party, but to ski from 9-5 non stop every day. This is what we do every year. From the moment we booked through Booking.com, the owner got in contact directly with basic useful information. However separately, he began emailing a big explanation of how Booking and Airbnb etc are robbers and we should cancel with Booking and pay him directly for €300 less. He claimed 70% of his lodgers agree to this and it is win for everyone. However booking had already given a discount, which meant this ‘deal’ he proposed would only amount to €136. He sent another chaser mail a few weeks before our stay asking if we will be going ahead with his proposal and I said that we would not, and prefer to have the security of booking.com in case anything went wrong. He responded many times saying that this is stupid and that these big companies don’t deserve a cut of his money. I explained that the service they provide is to put him in contact with potential renters who otherwise would not have found his listing. Anyway, after much back and forth about this, he accepted our decision, but only after some very irritating commentary and general attitude to us for not going with his plan. When we got to the apartment, the logistics and communication was good and we got set up. After the first day, we realized a few things aren’t up to standard: 1. The kettle had a hole in the side of it that sprays out water 2. Both shower heads were broken in the shower, which caused the bathroom to flood every time they were used. One of the shower heads could still be used, but had to be supported by the pipe which meant the only position of the spray was horizontal instead of from above. Quite annoying. 3. The sofa bed was in a terrible state and collapses in the middle, and is very difficult to use. 4.

Very convenient location for skiing. Lovely quiet location away from busy bars. Warm and comfortable apartment. Good communication with helpful host. Many thanks

Super location. Lavachet is quieter than Lac but has everything you need there plus you really can ski right home at the end of the day. The sofa bed was really decent - easy to put up and down daily and quality mattress.

very well organized, nice design, good location (2 stops from the lake to return by shuttle, or 20m directly on/off the slope). comfortable beds and linen . all needed as far as cooking appliances, cups, plates, forks… etc.

very very small place!! it is amazing what you can do with photographs these days! once you open the sofa bed, your living room area is gone! plus, it is not fair to put pictures from 2 apartments into same listing. being very similar, you cannot really understand what you get. I believe the 6 p apartment is a bit bigger, but the 4 p one was absolutely tiny. I would have not booked it if I knew… Anyways, after all we were comfortable enough , as the place is well organized, but it is not fair to switch the guests image by making the place look bigger! also, do not get ideas that this building has a garage or a swimming pool of it’s own. far from it!! this was my thinking mistake when booking , as I obviously did not know the area…. the picture you see are from the public parking & swimming pool.

I liked the cozy and quiet feel the apartment had and the location to the slopes, bars, restaurants, supermarket, bus stop, car park, basically it was in a good spot!

It could have done with being bigger but hey we would have had to pay more and we are a family of 5 😂🙃 Great value for money. Not much not too like, very easy and compact apartment.
