We had an amazing time here! The place itself was perfect for our group. Plenty of beds (very comfortable too!). Well appointed, steps from the beach..couldn't have asked for more! Glad to have both this and the top portion of the house to fit our large group and give us plenty of space to spread out and relax :)

This house was perfect for what we needed. 12 of us stayed comfortably. Plenty of beds. It was walking distance to where we needed to be.
When we arrived the beds were unmade and we had a hard time finding the sheets and pillow cases. I contacted Vacasa and they got back to me quickly. I found the doors hard to lock at times and when we arrived the back door was wide open. There was only a couple of garbage bags and minimal paper towels.
Overall, great spot and would stay again! Thank you

This property was dirty, the furniture was broken. I got cut on a piece of furniture that was broken, the curtain rod fell down and hit my 5 year old, the walls were so dirty, holes in the walls, and the door handle was missing from the bathroom. We called to try and get a manager and they sent the cleaning lady, still have not heard from anyone

Unfortunately, the house was not as clean as it should have been. We found cigarette butts on the deck. We had a broken bathroom door handle, a broken toilet seat, and a broken door hinge sticking out so that someone might hurt themselves. In one of the bedrooms, there were no window screens, so we had to keep the windows closed all the time.
I specifically asked if there would be enough cooking and eating utensils for the 12 people I booked for and was told: "yes - definitely." There were only four coffee cups, five knives, and five forks!! I had to go out and buy utensils. No working toaster nor microwave, and the circuits kept going off.
Our biggest complaint is that we expected the whole 2256 sq foot property as stated in the VRBO ad and photos. Unfortunately, they split the listing with another company, and the top floor was rented out to another family unbeknownst to us. We had requested and expected the whole property in November and were told in May that the top floor was booked. Why VRBO did not offer it to us when we inquired about the WHOLE property in November is beyond me. They kept saying they had no idea.
The people upstairs also had a hot tub, and all six people got in the tub, and it flooded our deck, belongings, and clothes and sprayed down on us. I had to run up the stairs and politely ask them to stop! It was impossible to be in the hot tub at the same time as them with all the water coming down.
When I asked the manager to go over all the issues, she said she could not talk as she was very busy. She said she had enough information from what I had told and shown the housekeeper. I felt very dissatisfied with her effort to help us out.
In all the years I have been renting through VRBO, this is the only time I have had problems and such haphazard, careless customer service.
Having said all that, the house is beautiful, if kept cleaner, and has a beautiful view. My group had a wonderful time there and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Great memories.

Absolutely loved this place!! Perfect location!! So close to everything. Loved the inside and outside (deck/patio). Perfect, perfect, perfect!! Would definitely go back and 100% recommend.

There were no glasses or coffee mugs.
The beds were shaky and lots of nuts were loose.
The kitchen and bar were planned badly and needs to be organized properly. Kitchen appliances are not placed properly.
The freezer was smelling. Should have been kept open for sometime.

The house worked out great, I thought the split level would be a problem but it wasn't as there was plenty of room to have a good time

They did send someone to look at it but I never heard back. They also advertised as king beds and they were not. They were queen beds. Bunk beds were super loose and swayed when you moved. Children were scared to sleep on them. Also, fan could possibly hit you if left on when you sleep on top bunk. Fans had to be off at night.

The view on this house is great huge deck going around not crazy about the bunk beds in the rooms but we really didn't use them anyway All in all great house right by the beach would definitely go again.

We had a great time. My only complaints would be that the hot tub for whatever reason didn’t maintain the heat until the day we left. The other would be the amount of garbage outside and the house could have been cleaner. I assume both were due to it being the end of the season. Otherwise everything was lovely.

Location Gorgeous
We lived this rental on Fire Island! The location is perfection and the unit is very spacious especially the deck area which is very large and has great views of the ocean. Beach chairs were awesome as were bikes.

OKAY BUT NOT GREAT
To start with there was no one to ask about the house that really knew it so I was told there were no beach towels when there were, (so we all brought beach towels on a long journey with a lot of stuff.)there was no wagon at the ferry, I had to wait days to find out about sheets and towels. The house itself was nice and clean and well located. Bedrooms were good. The kitchen was ill equipped for the price..No pot big enough for a pound of pasta, lots of missing utensils, barely any glasses and mugs and NO POT TO go into the coffee machine so we couldnt make coffee (also no water kettle) firdge was a bit weird as it wouldnt close with the shelves in and there was a huge AC unit on the floor in the kitchen...and no one to call about it...tried emailing Vacasa...nothing. Really for the price it needs some kitchen help at the very least

Great Location, but very disappointed in management
The location of this home is wonderful. You are so close to the beach and have stunning reviews. We did feel that the pictures of the interior were much better than the actual home (i.e. holes in the walls that were never patched up), though, willing to overlook due to location.
Management, however, is a different story. Check-in instructions clearly stated that we could only arrive to the house at 4PM. We arrived to the Island at 2PM and planned to spend a few hours at the beach (until 4PM). Walking by the home, we saw the cleaners preparing the house for us. I asked the man onsite if we could leave our luggage outside. He told us this would be OK and that we could leave our items on the deck. Minutes later, another cleaner handed me a phone and on the other line was a Woman (assuming from the property company). She was screaming at us, "Under no circumstance can you bring your stuff inside. I don't need this crap on a Friday..." and many other rude words. I told her we received approval to put out belongings on the deck and no apology from her, She just continued to go on about how her boss has been tough on her. This situation made everyone uncomfortable and it was by far the most unprofessional person I have dealt with at a rental property. I did reach out to Vacasa to let them know of the situation but... no reply (not shocked) and hence, this public post.
Long story short, do not attempt to leave your belongings on the property because you will get chewed out.

Beautiful house, perfect location, amazing views
We only stayed for 2 nights. The minute we walked into this house we were on the phone with vrbo to extend our time. Unfortunately it was already booked. The house is so clean and even though it was not listed, it had air conditioner. The floors and living room couches are brand new. It is 1 house away from the ocean which is so convenient with little ones. There is a big deck with a sectional couch and a big family sized table. The hot tub was great, especially since the weather our first day was not so good. The beach chairs were brand new. There were bikes there but they were rusted and not usable. The boys just rented bikes for the day to go to Ocean Beach. I would definitely rent this house again. 5 stars
