Slightly out of town but with a bike path to many local places. Nantucket beaches are so beautiful and a surf beach was not far away. This house was fun to stay in.

Short walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood, and quick drive to everything on the island. Right down the road from a golf course and Cisco Brewery

House was in great location. Walk to Cisco Beach, Cisco Brewery and Bartlett farm. Plenty of space and deck overlooks conservation land with Ocean views. Perfect for bigger families.

Quick walk to great beaches, easy access to town and ample privacy in a comfortable neighborhood!

We enjoyed our time here immensely. All we wanted to do was relax, and the setting was perfect for our needs; quiet, close to the beach, a pleasant bike into town. Definitely nostalgic of a typical old beach house. The layout would have been challenging had we been traveling with more than two couples (there are plenty of single beds), but it was perfect for us. Amazing view. Would absolutely stay here again!

You can tell that this is a house that has been well used and well loved! The upper deck was our favorite spot -- the view of moors was beautiful. The ocean was a constant background sound, and an easy 5 minute walk down a quiet, sandy lane. There were just two people total in our group, but there was certainly room for at least 6 more. Many corners and nooks for lounging and reading. Unfortunately we could not use the widow's walk as we did not realize it was accessed by a climb up a vertical ladder, with an awkward transition to a loft that would have involved wiggling and sliding on our bellies -- not a task for two middle aged ladies with back and hip complaints! It would have been nice to know that in the property description. However, the owner was quick to respond (through VRBO messaging) to our questions about check-in, trash, and a neighbor complaining about lights. All in all, this house perfectly fit our needs for quiet, comfort, and beach access. Add Cisco Brewery (good beer and live music) and Bartlett Farm Market (great prepared food and baked goods) just around the corner and we were happy indeed. Note: the driveway to the house comes in from the street behind the house -- not the street that is the house's address!

Water views from inside and from the many decks, easy walking access to an extraordinary beach, and loads of parking. The house had everything we needed (full kitchen, washing machines, good internet, enough beds for everyone, beach toys, board games, books, fluffy towels, etc) and felt like a cozy beach home. The house is filled with beautiful paintings of the surrounding area by the owner! My kids loved the loft and widow’s walk. It was springtime so while it was not prime beach swimming weather it made for some beautiful non crowded visits all over the island. We found a baby seal resting on the beach right at our beach access. The location is great for beach within walking distance, a few more places are a short bike ride away and the rest of the island is a short easy drive. The neighborhood roads are sand/ dirt roads with deep tracks and pot holes so don’t drive a low clearance vehicle here. We would love to come back again

A perfect spot to gather friends for the Stroll! The highlight being, the short walk to the beach for sunset location of the house is incredible!

I visited Nantucket over Memorial Day Weekend with 9 friends and we could not have asked for a better stay. The house and location were outstanding, and although the weather did not cooperate, the view was not to be beat. Plenty of space for everyone, a manageable distance from town, close to the beach, and close to Cisco brewary/Bartlett's Farm. What more could you ask for?
Steve was a great host, highly communicative, and answered all of my questions quickly.
Two decades ago, my family stayed in this home - a fact I learned shortly before our stay. The house once again provided many great memories, as I hope it will for all future guests.

A perfect property for a small celebration with family! Excellent location. Amazing sunsets from the widow’s walk! Nearby seafood market, farm market and Cisco Brewery only enhanced the experience. We highly recommend this property no matter the occasion.

Even as a hard grader, if I could give a sixth star to Moor Vu I would. Nantucket vacation dreamers for years, we finally took the plunge in October 2015 and booked this amazing home for a multi-day escape with family. We loved it so much we booked again in October 2016 and hope to repeat this trend indefinitely. The six of us had plenty of room. We could have easily brought three or four more folks with us and remained comfortable. You can feel the love in every room from the caring owners who clearly spend time there regularly and share with guests their appreciation of fine art, literature, cuisine and local color. Outside, the gardens are a delight, as is the overall quiet, away from it all vibe which permeates not only the Moor Vu grounds themselves, but the neighborhood which surrounds it. On nearly a full three sides, you see protected conservation land extending all the way out to the ocean. For those of us demanding day job city dwellers, who appreciate the rarest of natural settings as the very best places to think, write and breathe, can't miss experiences such as short walks down to Cisco Beach to birdwatch and play among the surfers there catching waves are unforgettable. We savored our daily bike rides around the island, often to find favorite lighthouses, and we loved to pedal back to Cisco at sunset to visit the local brewery (ciscobrewers.com). Always a fun group there, with free live music, games and locally crafted beer, wine and spirits. After unwinding for an hour or two, we frequently took a growler and a hard cider to go, then return to Moor Vu to cook a homemade meal, in part made from Bartlett Farm (bartlettsfarm.com) produce, also a stone throw away. After supper and some boardgames and cards, the few of us who prefer a longer night would climb up to the roof deck and spend some quality time there with a blanket, most nights enjoying some of the most amazing shooting stars I've ever seen in this hemisphere. Morning people, sunrises at Moor Vu are exceptional, too. Though I missed most of them because I was so relaxed I slept great every night while visiting, I never missed a delicious home-cooked breakfast, enjoyed most mornings from the wraparound outdoor deck on the second floor. Choosing this spectacular Nantucket vacation oasis will be one of best decisions you make all year. For our Family, we can't wait to return...

I'm sure this is a beautiful home in a wonderful location, however, renters learn from our mistake... The conditions for renting this property are not listed on VRBO, and will only be sent to the renter when a 50% deposit is paid. Between the time we paid the deposit, and received the contract, outlining cancelation policy, our plans changed. Naturally, we didn't sign the contract and contacted the owner. Initially the owner agreed to refund our deposit, our booking was for 9 months in the future, however, several days later he changed his mind. All communication ended at this point, despite multiple emails from me. We never saw a penny returned, despite not signing their contract. It is sad, this is the first negative experience we have had booking on VRBO.

We had a absolutely wonderful stay at “Moor-Vu” on Nantucket Island. The house is quite beautiful and the ocean can be seen from most of the windows around the house and from the double porch decks. Everything is meticulously appointed and the master bedroom is a dream come true. I know this sounds dramatic, but my entire family will back me up on this. The house has everything one needs. It feels very private and looks out over acres of wonderful marshland and ocean. The living room and fireplace were delightful locations for reading, playing board games and enjoying the vista. Bike and car paths take you wherever you need to go.My 10 year old daughter loved climbing the stairs to the loft (and sleeping up there), then heading up with us to the roof-deck which is safe and thrilling. A marvelous view, way up high. We could easily walk or ride the bikes (provided for the guests of Moor-Vu) to the beach in no-time at all. What greets you there is surf and sand that seems to go on forever. Finally, we found the owners to be friendly and reachable by phone, though we had everything we needed. This is a home one can return to and fall in love with nature all over again. We loved it! Hannah & Mark
