As soon as I opened the unassuming front door, I gasped. An artistic residence of great beauty. I was just overwhelmed with a feeling of love and contentment. Like I had been welcomed into a sanctuary. This property really is a gem and I cannot wait to go back. A real privilege to stay. I didn't feel alone for one moment, you'll see why when you stay.

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

No matter how many times I’ve visited, it is always so welcoming and wonderful on arrival. Always a home away from home.

Great location close to the beach. Accommodation had a lot of character and had all the facilities we needed. Host responded quickly to our requests including arranging parking permits which was really helpful.

Spacious apartment close to the beach. Well equipped, there's everything to make a good coffee and small breakfast. Monique was very helpful and available when we needed her. The keys were super easy to find.

Not the host's fault but the neighbor underneath is often noisy. Other than that everything was great.

Lovely big flat with lots of space, run by a friendly hostess. The bed was very comfortable and the living room was large with a good view of the sea and the park next door. The kitchen had everything you needed to eat and drink.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location was good, opposite the seafront and within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and local attractions . The host Monique was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions. We will definitely return hete it was a wonderful and relaxing stay.

Location was too good, just some steps from the sea, decor was excellent, comfortable and cosy beds, I am impressed by owner's test lots of books to read. Owners is poet and writer. Plus this apartment has an history. Admiral Agustus hero of world was II lived here.

NICE COMFORTABLE PLACE , OLD BUT WELL KEPT & GIVES A HOMELY FEELING WHEN YOU ENTER. PLENTY OF COFFEE & TEA AVAILABLE , KITCHEN UTENSILS ENOUGH FOR A STAY. WONDERFULL VIEW OF SEA FROM THE WINDOW OF THE LIVING ROOM. MONIQUE , THE OWNER , WHOM I UNFORNUNATELY COULD NOT MEET, DID CHECK ON US IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING BUT ALL WAS PROVIDED FOR.

THERE WERE SOME THINGS STORED UNDER THE BED BY THE OWNER BUT THOSE BOXES WERE REALLY LOADED WITH DUST, SEEMS THEY HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN OUT AND CLEANED FOR A LONG TIME. THE FRIDGE IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM HAD A REAL FOUL SMELL IN IT , IT SEEMED LIKE SOMEONE HAD LEFT SOME FOOD IN IT WHICH HAD ROTTEN & NO ONE HAD OPENED THE FRIDGE AFTER THAT , I ALSO OPENED IT TO STORE SOMETHING BUT QUICKLY SHUT IT BACK AS THE SMELL WAS UNBEARABLE , THE OWNER SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS MATTER & GET IT CLEANED. FEW PLUMBING JOBS REQUIRED IN THE BATHROOM, THE SHOWER LEAKS, THE FLUSH NEEDS TO BE FIXED AS IT DOES NOT DROP ENOUGH WATER TO CLEAN THE COMMODE, ALSO A TOWEL HANGER NEAR THE BATH TUB WOULD BE GOOD, THE DOOR BOLT IN THE BATHROOM NEEDS A FEW SCREWS AS IT AS LOOSE. SOME MORE SIMILAR SMALL MATTERS WHICH I CANT RECALL NOW BUT IF FIXED WOULD MAKE THE PLACE PERFECT.

The location and very comfortable bed and good heating. Monique was very helpful and friendly.

It was very uncomfortable sitting on a single bed leaning against the wall when the property advertised a sofa. No tumble dryer as advertised. Washing machine did not work. Freezer switched off and full of mouldy food (previously reported in another review). No storage for anything just a hanging rail, all drawers full of owners stuff. Just too much owners stuff everywhere, a tree in the lounge full of dust and dropping leaves,. The broken mirror in bathroom, dirty floor and peeling paint (Also previously reported by someone else). It did not feel like guest accommodation more like the owner had just popped to the shops - some of these things have been reported by other guests but nothing has been remedied. Very disappointed as it was a birthday treat for my husband.

Great location just off the seafront in a quiet square with parking by permit right outside. All the attractions, restaurants, bars and shopping were easily walkable. Nice flat with spacious rooms, with the exception of the kitchen, which was small. However, we only used it for breakfast as we ate out in the day and evening so it was no problem for us.

There was an odd sense of being in someone else's flat rather than at guest lodgings. Personal belongings were all about and the freezer, which was turned off, had food in it. Also the plaster was coming off the wall and window sill in the bathroom, probably because of a lack of ventilation.

Had a lovely stay at this apartment, Monique was very friendly and on hand to help if we would have needed her. Very clean and comfortable apartment in an excellent quiet location on the seafront, 20 mins walk to Brighton pier and local supermarkets right round the corner. Would definitely stay here again!
