the cottage was small, run down, the alleged kitchen was a microwave with 1 spatula and some plastic utensils.

Swamp Rabbit Inn, Travelers Rest was fantastic! My niece and I were staying in the main house, but there was an issue with the air conditioner and the owner gave us one of the cottages on the property at no additional charge. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. The location is in town, but is so peaceful and quiet on the property. You have access to breakfast foods and the use of the entire kitchen, dining area, and living room.

The location was very nice. There were places to eat and shop all around while you still felt like you had privacy. The room was nice and clean.

Good facility for meeting of a small group - in our case a reunion of college classmates. The living room of the house served as an excellent gathering space.

Communication with the innkeeper was a persistent problem. Calls made to innkeeper prior to and after booking were either ignored or delayed for days.

Comfortable, clean, great supplies for continental breakfasts. Great value. Just what we needed for our small group.

The location was perfect and the limited occupancy was very nice. The Inn was set up nicely and was clean and appeared well kept overall. The snacks were nice.

At arrival we had not been issued a passcode to enter. We called the number given and were told she would assist us from afar. She repeatedly tried and then became rude insisting it was unlocked, when it wasn’t. The property manager arrived at the location and told us she sent the code. I repeatedly looked for the email, in her presence, while she kept insisting, in a rude manner that she had sent it. When it finally arrived via text we thanked her. verified it worked and went on out way. Upon returning to our room later that evening we discovered the sink cold water was barely running and when mixed with the hot was scalding. i read the email about weekend contact, decided to wait until morning to let them know about the issue. At 7:30 am I sent the first email to let them know the sink issue and asked for their help before we left for some appointments that morning. When we returned after lunch it was not repaired so I attempted to call another number given for contact. No answer. I resent my original message regarding the issue. At that time I received a response that the water was deemed adequate and would not be repaired. I said it was not adequate to us but we would adapt and prepared to leave for other activities. As we were driving away ANOTHER email arrived arguing that our adequate and theirs was obviously not the same. And if we want we can move rooms, move hotels, or get a refund. We turned around, returned to the room, and collecting our things, and returned home. We let them know, via email, that we would accept a refund. The property manager was the rudest, most unhelpful I’ve ever encountered. In addition the box spring creaked and crinkled like it was full of newspaper and the mattress was very soft.

Travelers Rest is a nice area. The next bigger city is Greenville, Greenville is a beautiful city. Great restaurants and a lot of distilerys.

The cottage was nice and clean.

Something seemed to be wrong with the overhead light in the bathroom. It would go on brightly and immediately dim.

Property is secluded yet right in the best of TR—fun to have a picnic at the pool & again feel like we were at a private estate

Biking the swamp rabbit trail across the street and to downtown and the farmers market.

Clean room. Wifi worked. Easy location.

The new owner is not great. She forgot to send my login code upon arrival. She also forgot for other guests. Another guests was searching for their room and bathroom. Zero service. Smoke alarm beeping downstairs the 1st night. 2 nights later smoke alarm beeping outside my room & owner refused to fix it. It's a "bike property" but new owner knowns nothing about biking or routes. She knew about local restaurants without current info. Breakfast was NOT what was described online. It was a few pieces of fruit, yogurt & snack bars. Packaged food not "fresh kringle". It was easy to access. No service. Swimming pool uncovered and dirty. Not great to look at when you arrive.

It was nice and quiet, clean and relaxing. It was nice to sit out in the gazebo in the early evening.
