Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. The overall cleanliness of the house was subpar. -The house absolutely stunk of rotten food and dog when we arrived; which is extreme considering the cleaner had just left.-The cutlery drawers had enough food crumbs and dust in there to feed a family of mice for a year and probably cockroaches as well.-There was thick black hair (possibly dog hair) on the main bed mattress protector (clearly unwashed). The double bed in the 4 sleeper room also had a dirty (stain) mattress protector.-White dog hair was in some corners, door jams (as well as dirt and dead flies) and window jams.- I cleaned out rotten food from the bottom of the dishwasher.-All glass (windows and shower) had smudges and finger prints. -There was grime and build up in bathroom floor corners.-The couches and cushions were grimy and stank.2. Yard was unmaintained, with very long back grass. Rendering it unuseable for my children for fear of snakes. We only saw a snake in the scrub between the house and the beach but it is very inviting to a snake to live in gras as long as it is.3. The washing machine had no water delivery, with no water pipes connected or even provided. This was a huge problem for our stay as we have children and needed to wash and dry clothes daily.4. The BBQ was too small to use for a house of its capacity and was dirty when we even looked at it. In your email you ask for it to be moved outside and then placed back inside.. however we found it outside and didn't use it so we left it as is. Our plans of easy BBQ dinners every night were ruined and we had to cook inside. Cooking inside was difficult when the only provided frying pan was nearly a heart shape it was THAT warped. It clearly stuck to everything and again wasn't enough to cook for 6 people.Overall the house was not worth the money we paid to stay there.The above was emailed to Escapia 8-1-24.

Nice and quite place.

Property was in the perfect location and room layout was great. However back lawn was very long, hadn't been mown in a while. Lights in the kitchen didn't work, no lighting out the side of the house for when you arrive home at night. Bathrooms not clean, no freezer space in the fridge. **Suitable for dogs. Would stay again as it was a great location, just a few easy fix ups needed.

I was looking forward to staying at this property but there are basic maintenance issues that need to be addressed. It is disheartening that these have been stated in previous reviews 2+ years ago and not addressed at all: - light fittings missing or hanging down - downlights not working and lamps missing globes - listing says no washing machine, but there is one... that isn't connected to the water? Why have it there then? - ants EVERYWHERE in the house - despite the house being "clean" - towel rails in both bathrooms coming out of studs - in disrepair - I do not know how you have blunt table knives that are not butter knives, but you do! - beds that aren't the bunk beds sagging/old - photos are not accurate - half of the cupboards in the kitchen are locked and cannot be used for storage The location is great and the playground across the road is a perfect location - you can watch your kids while they play. Unfortunately it doesn't match the description or photos well at all. Frustrating.

A few problems which I listed on a piece of paper which I left in the kitchen. I e. No suitable fry pans, no pizza trays, wash machine didn’t work, more double adapters needed, some lights didn’t work. Easy to fix.
