Staff was amazing. Facilities were all nice and the room was awesome.
Food and drinks were mediocre, but not bad. Cabanas on the beach were mostly broken.

The location was great. The food and the club were awesome. And the foam party in the afternoon was a blast. And the drinks were flowing and were excellent tasting.
The manager was rude. They didn’t have a room for us upon arrival and was asked to stay at a resort down the street for one night. We waited an hour before getting a room without any tour of the property.

My partner and I came for our honeymoon. It was perfect for us as all we wanted was a relaxing stay in the nice climate by the pool with no need to plan anything.
There is plenty of entertainment throughout the day and the entertainment staff did a great job in making it fun for all ages (Rebe and Eddy in particular).
We had a great experience with the different foods from the restaurants and of course we highly recommend the Hibachi at the Japanese restaurant.
Luis from the Mexican restaurant was our favourite waiter!
I read a lot of comments stating how cold the swimming pools were but found that you could spend hours in them drinking from the swim up bars without getting cold at all. (However, the sea temperature was warmer than the pools)
Our two favourite evening shows/events were the Mexican night and the Michael Jackson Show.
We also really appreciated that they never ran out of 'the good stuff', like the favourite dishes or alcohol, you could have as much as you wanted and it just seemed like an endless supply (apart from Corona Beer, those bad boys are rare)
WiFi coverage around the whole resort is great.
Naturally, there is always going to be something that doesn't work with everyone, although these are negligible on the grand scale of life but I feel obliged to list them:
1) Coffee. I don't know why Americans and Mexicans live off filtered coffee but it's all you can get easily. There is a small coffee machine at the other end of the resort but it's not great.
2) Oranje Juice. No such thing as fresh orange juice here, wife loves that stuff.
3) Value for money. I was fortunate to book this during Black Friday and got 40% off, I wouldn't pay full price for our stay.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It was so clean and spacious. Our butler, Marimar, was incredibly helpful and accommodating
When we arrived to the resort we did NOT get the room we paid for. They immediately took us to a completely different (downgrade) room and told us they sold out of our sweet type. They offered a massage to make up for the difference and placed us into an available room. Many many couples had the same issue as us and we were incredibly disappointed. They ended up still charging the cost of the plunge pool and didn’t offer any solutions.

It was very clean and the staff was amazing very attentive.
The floors are extremely slippery all the time and the food wasn’t all that good. The room service menu was worse.

Personál je extrémně milý, nápomocný a vždy rádi poradí. Postele byly velmi pohodlné. Jídla byl obrovský výběr a bylo výborné. Vybavení je příjemné a hezké. Soukromá pláž je hned u hotelu, krásně udržovaná a čistá, bar je ihned na pláži a lehátek je dostatek.
Brzký odjezd domů:-)

We loved the swim up room our kids had. The beach was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful and the restaurants were all really great. Staff was always accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed Willi and Tito.
Only 2 things I’d change to make this resort the perfect resort - make fresh coffee available in the morning instead of resorting to the machines (or put a small coffee shop in by the sports bar area where that late night food kiosk is, open from 6-11am for coffee and smoothie drinks) and keep the adult pool a little quieter and relaxing. There was one DJ, a smaller guy, who was a bit obnoxious and crude. Didn’t care for the women dancing and grinding contest. It seemed very beneath this beautiful resort.

Great room and amenities! The beach is great, there is night activities and a lot of options to eat. For new years eve there is an especial event
The beach seats are crowded and it’s hard to find a spot if you don’t arrive early. Also I’ve seen people try to pay the beach staff to get better spots at the beach, what made me fell uncomfortable.
Although there are great restaurants there are some that don’t have that great food, but that wasn’t a problem since there is lots of options for all tastes.

Great hotel, with impressive facilities and service. Staff is very helpful and kind. Wide array of restaurants and food/drinks across the hotel in various venues to accommodate different tastes and styles. The grille chicken might be the best we’ve ever tried.

Friendly staff and well kept facility.
Not enough lounge space around the pool and beach.
There was no place to sit unless we got there really early in the morning.

New with very large rooms and excellent beach access and beach experience
Food is not good. Mosquitoes are around. Not much to do with kids if at all. Kids pool is like a bath but with sharp edges, didn’t use it with our kids, 4 & 2. Kids club is dark and not clean, our kids didn’t want to stay there. Overall, not the place for kids. Main challenge- pools are not heated, even at 80 degrees people were reluctant to get into the pool and so did we. Not sure why it is a 5 star with cold pools.

Beautiful property, luxurious, great spacious rooms, amazing food including gluten free options.
Could more activities for kids

The food was decent, each found something they liked.
The staff were very friendly.
Good cleanliness
We were given a room that was already occupied with guests. It made us feel unsafe like others might enter our room.
In the family section we would love a pool slide and other outside activities for kids

The staff were exceptional. The location was gorgeous, beach was clean & well maintained. A few key things that made it a great stay!
1) our butler René was amazing. Whatever need we had, he was on it! He was easily reachable and checked in every day to make sure our stay was good. He helped organize room cleaning around our varied schedule, scheduled restaurants, recommended excursions. He also brought us four bottles of complimentary liqueurs - while we aren’t big drinkers, it was a touching gesture. Honestly, it was great to know he was there if anything was needed.
2) The room was great - especially the view. Splurging for the ocean view was well worth it.
3) food was almost always great! The teppanyaki, Mexican, Argentine restaurants were 10/10. The French & seafood were good; my wife loved her salmon at the seafood while I was disappointed with the lobster pasta. The French restaurant was good for me (had the mussels and fish) while my wife’s filet was just okay. The crepes were delicious. The breakfast & lunch buffets were as expected - fresh made eggs and tacos at the buffets were good.
4) entertainment was fun! Lots going on each day if that’s what you’re looking for. We opted to relax away from most of it but it was always lively! The nighttime shows were fun, the Queen show was especially fun.
5) the spa was worth it. The hydrotherapy was superb & the cenote massage was magical. In typical resort fashion it was pricey but IMO it was worth it! The hydrotherapy was definitely worth it!
6) Most importantly, the staff. Everyone was truly exceptional. Bartenders, restaurant staff, housekeeping, concierge, etc, were all unbelievable. Friendly, offered to help with anything, always willing to have a conversation & get to know you as well. I felt like each person genuinely cared that we had a good time.
We visited during full capacity and it never felt overwhelming. The staff were busy but made time for us.
The resort is showing some signs of wear and tear. It’s small and didn’t affect our trip but it’s noticeable and does take away from the “luxury” feel.
We decided to book a plunge pool, probably would just do an ocean front suite next time. The plunge pool is nice but in the winter it was quite cold (also we were there during a cold front so likely not the case all times).

The property is beautiful with so many places to go and explore. The workers were my favorite part, so funny and friendly. Gio is the best!! Definitely go to her daily activities.
I wish there was a little more of a food selection for dinner.

All the restaurants were delicious and the buffets had so many options to chose from.
The restroom in the room was a little awkward. A regular door would easily fix that. The location is far from the airport.

Beach is beautiful and clean, waiters and animation team are incredible nice and friendly, specially Kennia, Gaby, Oliver (animation team) beach volleyball is fun, beach massages were exceptional, the French restaurant is great, the waiters at the French restaurant are the best ones, extremely nice and polite.

The property is majestic like its name, the architecture is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, even including an outdoor jacuzzi as a standard feature.
The service was very poor, au contraire of what Mexico stands for, great service, friendly people, we didn’t experience that during this stay. 1 hour wait time for check-in, 40 minutes wait time for the luggage to be delivered to the room. Long waiting times at diner time for the restaurants even they were about half capacity, scarce personnel was alleged.

I loved the design, the staff, and the bars!
There is a sports bar that’s open late, but more of a club location would be an amazing addition

There was a lot to do. Very spacious.
I didn’t like the fact that I was placed on the family side with a king bed and there was two of us. I didn’t like how the staff would cater to other guests overlooking us even though we were next in line.

The beach is nice and so are the pools. The food is pretty good, but the drinks are amazing. The staff is exceptional. A great place to relax.

This is my second stay at the Majestic Elegance and I will certainly be coming back!
We love the plunge pool suites and the swim up rooms look amazing too, beautiful grounds, the beach is gorgeous, wonderful service from staff and butler, and the food is actually great compared to other all inclusive.
I LOVE the peace and quiet at this resort and appreciate the clientele are respectful and are not messy drunk party people!
I also love the fact that this resorts capacity is not full! It’s great that there are people around but there are always sun chairs and places to sit and eat. I also love that it’s never crowded and not a zoo!
Finally, I love Blossom Spa! It’s beautiful and the staff are great!
Some guest rooms can be a bit tired. I was in room 1423 in August 2023 and it appeared more updated and fresher. It also didn’t have a strong mildew smell. This time I was assigned to room 1420 but it had a very strong mildew smell and was moved to room 1421. 1421 was better than 1420 but it still had a stronger smell than 1423. In addition, 1421 had more mold in the shower and toilet specially in the grout and around the door joints/hinges.
Others have mentioned the entertainment is old fashioned but I honestly enjoyed it. I do think the entertainment at Majestic is less current than at other resorts but I come here for the peace, beautiful pools and beach so I don’t place that much effort into attending the entertainment every night.
I did attend the white party and Music Journey and both were super fun! I was sad to miss the Michael Jackson show which apparently is the highlight at this resort but is only on Wednesdays.
I also personally like that the entertainment is geared towards more relaxed or older clients as this keeps the resort quieter and more in tune with a peaceful atmosphere.

The staff, food and restaurants were great and had a lot to offer
First and foremost I would like to say that the staff in the restaurants and bar area are absolutely amazing and did a great job. The staff at the front desk and management not so much! We checked inn on a Sunday and to start off the check in process was super lengthy for no reason. It took them 45 minutes to check each group in. We travel a lot and have never had this process take so long. While we were checking in we were informed that we were getting a “upgrade” to a beachfront suite. We did not want that. We wanted the rooms we booked and paid for. We booked two swim up suites with connecting pools so our kids could play in the pool in front of our room safely. They said those rooms were under construction and they would be able to get us in the rooms the next day. We agreed to stay in the beachfront suite and not unpack our suitcases so we could check back out of that room in the morning. We decided to spend the day at the pool because our new rooms wouldn’t be ready until 3 pm that day. You would think that they would prioritize the cleaning of the rooms so we could get into our room, but they did not. Especially since we were two families with 4 children. Instead we had to spend another 2 hours at the front desk just to find out our rooms were still not available. We had to stay another night in the room we did not book or paid for just because the front desk had messed up again. Once we got to our room we quickly realized that they had no intentions of giving us our promised rooms since our luggage was still in the rooms and had never been picked up by the staff. Our third day there we finally got a swim up suite, still not the one we had booked… but a swim up suite. At this point we had spent more time at the front desk trying to get answers and figure out what was going on. To top it all off we were promised that our luggage would be delivered to our room shortly.

I got an ADA compliant room- I’m not handicapped. This wouldn’t have been an issue but the toilet was in the shower! IN THE SHOWER!
Now if I had a wheelchair I would’ve been thankful but I am blessed and able to walk so therefore I would’ve liked a separation from the place I take care of business to the place I clean myself ironically.
If you find the food amazing here, you must not be used to even average food at best. The fish was on top of my sushi was so dry you couldn’t even bite it. It literally hardly tore apart like the consistency of dry fruit rolls. You couldn’t tell it was sushi rice because the rice all stuck together like a one whole block. You couldn’t make out the rice corns. I met eyes with a a lady sitting across from me and read her lips as she said it’s horrible right? This is the 3rd time I met complete strangers that saw my face while eating and we all shared a combined painful experience.
The glasses they serve you with at the pools are cloudy and yellow ish stained. The food equals the quality of chucky cheese, cold and doughy and sticky and dry. It’s like kids food everywhere. I was so upset by day 5, I straight walked out of a restaurant because I couldn’t handle it anymore. I was so hungry for something normal and cooked right! The manager followed me to try to make it right. I came back and had a decent plate of chicken parm but it doesn’t make up for the mostly disgusting food here. I paid almost 3k to get hamburgers every day bc it’s the only edible thing here. Everything was bland, undercooked or tasted old. The pools are random and elongated in shape.
Most are connected and part of someone’s hotel room so it’s awkward to swim in sometimes, plus you can’t order any food poolside either. You always have to go to a restaurant to eat. The beach is magnificent, if you can find a spot to lay. Rooms are lovely but the smell of mold from the bathroom and water stings your nose after a few days. The “butler” is a joke.
