Rice field view

The AC was broken in the master bedroom, apparently has been broken for a long time, and this wasn't mentioned when we booked. We were given a fan that was so loud it's impossible to sleep. Other kitchen appliances like coffee machine were broken, too. There was no projector like in the photos. The dishes and sheets were dirty with lots of stains. We were moved to another villa (samsara) the next day, and it was a bigger villa, but pretty much the same poor experience (dirty, rundown, broken appliances). I had black-bugs all over my bed, roaches in the bathroom. It's a very disappointing stay for both kontiki and samsara villas. I would really appreciate a refund.

+ The view from the master bedroom is even better than it looks in the photos. + The restaurant next door has pretty good food for one or two nights. + The location itself is in a fairly quiet area. + It was very close to the beach. Would still advise using a car or bike to get there, but it's only a few minutes away and it's a beautiful drive.

- The music from the restaurant next door was audible from everywhere in the villa, and it played from 10AM until 10PM every day. Unfortunately it was hard to appreciate the rice field views with the constant dim music in the background. The music was not even that loud, but because of the layout of the properties it was very hard to escape. We asked the villa staff, as well as the restaurant staff quite a few times to do something about it, but unfortunately they were only able to reduce the volume slightly and it was an annoyance for pretty much the entire time we were there. - The second bedroom is very limited, do not expect much. Would recommend only going as two people. - The area does not have much to offer in terms of food options other than the one restaurant.
