Superb location

The bathroom wasn't clean, especially the shower

Perfect location with a fantastic view of the lake.

The location on the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen was perfect for a family gathering. The views were stunning and the a la carte dinner at the Seehaus superb.

Outstanding location - we stayed at the Seehaus part of the Riessersee hotel with the most fantastic view to the lake, forest and mountains. Very large room and good bed. Very nice spa area w. swimmingpool, 2 different saunas and a steam bath. Good ala carte restaurant and great breakfast. Best recommendations! 10/10

The TV in the room didn’t work but with the view to the mountains etc. it wasn’t a problem😊

Breakfast was excellent, staff did a great job to accommodate guests, food selection was great. Staff was very friendly.

When we arrived we sat on the patio and nobody came to get our drink order. When I went to get the drinks on our own, I was told we are getting served outside by the waiter staff which eventually happened. The shower in our room had mold on the tile molding that goes around the shower, the shower glass doors on the bottom have also mold or are very dirty. The drain cover is not fastened and comes off during showering. Worker crew started hammering early in the morning which made the stay experience not as pleasant as it could have been. Overall, the room was nice, the shower in specific needs some attendance. I wish I would have taken a picture, but when you have someone inspect it you will see what the issue is.

Breakfast is really good. Also, the view of the accommodation in front of the lake was really satisfying.

It's hard to get there without a car.

Wonderful hotel. The hotel is located next to the small lake and surrounded by forest and mountains. Only few minutes driving from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen center. The rooms are very big , clean and comfortable. The breakfeast is very good.

The location was beautiful and the facilities and property were fantastic.

The location is excellent and the view spectacular. All is correct, very good value for money. No complains whatsoever. Good food, plenty of choices. Ther is only one small issue, some of staff do not speak English and I do not speak German. I managed quite well but it will be nice if another international language like English, French or Spanish can be used, at least for written instructions.

Language skills of the staff since the location is not exclusively for German citizens.

amazing location, on the lake. free shuttle available to Garmisch-Classic or it’s only about 29 minutes walk through beautiful country side (not recommended at night as paths are unlit).

The location is fabulous and very quiet. The breakfast was very good, and we had all types of food available - cold and warm, sweet and savoury. Would definitely go again.

The room was not modern but still had its charm. The room was a bit cold especially if you needed to visit the bathroom during the night.

The location on the top of Riesserseestrasse was absolutely gorgeous. The lake with the Waxenstein and Alpespits in the background had a different look every day. It was gorgeous. There are hiking trails directly adjacent to the hotel and the views are amazing down the valley into Garmisch. We had half board and the food was just excellent. There were so many wonderful choices. I am a picky eater and I loved so much of the offerings. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service personnel in the restaurant was amazing. They were so nice and friendly. The wellness / sauna area was beautiful and they are refurbishing it now so it will be even better soon. The pool was large and welcome even though we swam in the lake quite often. There is a little beach club on the left side of the lake where you can hang out and have drinks and a snack. Parking was abundant and free for guests.

We got a room in the dependance "Seehaus". At first glance, the room was wonderful. Very large suite type accommodations. A bit dated but quaint. There was a balcony off of the back but we were located in room 37 directly over the kitchen. It was hugely noisy until abot 1 a.m. with kitchen personnel but that was not the worst thing. We had to deal with their cigarette smoke every evening and this was really bad!!! They need a separate smoking area away from guest rooms. We were not the only people who complained about this during the two week stay. The other HUGE elephant in the room was actually a bus. This hotel has chosen to receive large groups of tourists by bus who are going to the Passion Play in Oberammergau. These people were mostly American or Czech/Russian/Polish. They were loud and rude and really detracted from our dining experience both in the mornings and especially at dinner. We really did not like this at all because we chose to go on holiday outside of the peak travel time because we wanted rest.

Contrary to the staff of the reception of the hotel, one of the waitresses at the restaurant next to the lake was not very "nice". We had the feeling that we disturbed her and her service can be improved : she was not very helpful and we were surprised during our 2 diners with the difference in treatment between half board and people like us that just booked a room.

Great breakfast and view (we had a suite overlooking the lake). Also exceptionally clean.

The suites are directly above a busy restaurant that doesn’t close until 10/11 pm. During our stay, we were also unlucky enough to have two sets of conferences taking place in the restaurant. To say it was loud would be a drastic understatement. There are also no blinds in the rooms just light curtains. So when you can finally sleep, it won’t be for very long! We also booked half pension for our stay but the food (aside from breakfast) was truly appalling. We therefore ended up having to eat elsewhere which somewhat defeated the point of half board! With so much good food around in Bavaria (and GAP in particular), it was really mind boggling how things could be so poor. Given the price of our accommodation, the experience really was shocking and well below expectations.

The room and facilities were great. Good Breakfast Friendly and helpful staff. Important info: We first booked the room at the Seehaus Riessersee Hotel, which is building next to the small lake. Although the room was as expected we asked to move to the Riessersee Hotel - main building as all facilities (reception, breakfast room, spa, etc.) are there. The receptionists were very helpful, complied with our request and switched our room to the main building and even upgraded us to very nice room.
