Overall it's a decent property. But it could have been great. There were a lot of small little maintenance issues and a lot of small things that could very easily be upgraded in the home. The kitchen is well stocked but there's only one frying pan. All of the knives are incredibly dull. There's only three spoons in a house for 10 people. Little things like that that could have been so much better. But the home does have a beautiful view of the lake and a nice little dock with a boat house.

Stayed here with family and friends for 4 nights. Pros: The location and view are amazing. We loved having a dock and easy access to the lake! The house was relatively clean and well-stocked with most of what we needed. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and a nice big living area. Overall, we had a fabulous time. Cons: The only reason we might look to book somewhere else before staying here again was the lack of adequate seating on the deck. There were 4 plastic chairs that felt flimsy at best (and we would actually carry out the dining room chairs to sit on). With such a great view and nice deck, it would have been nice to be able to sit outside on a comfortable patio set to enjoy it. It had very few cleaning supplies for us to use (we had to purchase cleaning wipes to clean the bird crap off the patio table). Lastly, there was one couch that may have come from a home with cats. Several of us had allergic reactions (sneezing, itching, watery eyes) after sitting on it. As long as I didn't sit on it, I was fine.

We had a wonderful stay. Had plans of using the yard to play some games together but it is FAR too steep to utilize. The beds were very comfortable. The view is wonderful! My hope for the entire neighborhood is that the State puts an actual traffic light at the intersection for 101. That intersection would greatly benefit from a 4 way stop light.

My family loved staying here for a short vacay. The management company is great, would rent from them again.

Very easy process

Great home for a family vacation! We were there with our adult and minor children. We will definitely plan to book this house again next year for our family vacation.

House was in a nice location and close to town. Floor plan of the house worked well for our family. Excellent views of the lake. Furnishings were a bit old but to be expected in a rental. Kitchen had bare minimum for cooking supplies but was adequate. Would recommend this rental to others looking for a house on Devil’s lake.

We had a wonderful Christmas with views of wind, rain, and snow. There was fun and games with much joy and laughter. We were a family of love enjoying this quite beautiful home.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of room for 10 people and right on the lake. The boat house was unusesable due to the water level but that was really no big deal. The kitchen was well stocked as were the linens and the bed was so nice I wish I had it at home. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your home.

It was fine. Just a few cons- The main counch in the living room did not work all the time. The TV was dark and looked like it was going out. The garbage was half full when we arrived. But we had a nice stay. Thank you

Check-in time was at 4pm, we arrived at 6pm and the house was not clean at all; trash all over the front lawn, garbage bin not collected and full with bags all around (I wish I could upload the photos). Inside the house, floor was full of sand, beds sheets were not replaced and taken away, human and animal hair still stuck on those sheets. No toilet paper left and no trash bags. We had to call management and they sent over a cleaning team with 3 ladies to clean inside out for 2.5 hours. We had to seat outside in the cold for 3 hours before they done cleaning it. This is outrageous especially during the pandemic and we have kids. We were so disappointed at first but at least after the cleaning, we were able to enjoy the house with nice beautiful view and big backyard for the kid to hunt eggs. I would expect a refund at least on the cleaning fees they collected.

We had already driven the 5 hour drive there and ended up waiting in a park until we had access to the house. Upon arrival, we were taken away by the view of the lake. It was beautiful. We noticed right away that the outside garbage was full. I contacted the company and they came the next day an emptied it for us, which I appreciated. We also found a couple red solo cups thrown about the yard. Upon entering the house, we immediately noticed that it wasn't exactly clean. There was garbage (chip bags and food wrappers) under the couch and chairs in the living room, the big bay window overlooking the lake had gross sticky handprints slid down it, likely from kids that were there previously. There were also dog hair tumbleweeds floating around the livingroom floor (we left our dogs with a pet sitter so not from us). We also found other people's underwear and socks in the dresser. Most of the furniture in the living room was broken. The reclining chairs don't recline. Only one of the two couch recliners worked and the other one was broken and in the reclined position when we arrived, and wouldn't go back down. As far as the amenities, the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, silverware etc. plenty of blankets, towels etc. There was a beautiful sun deck with a table in the back, but only two plastic patio chairs were there, and one was broken and unusable, so we had one chair. Since we booked for a party of 9, I would have liked to have had enough chairs for at least a few of us to be able to sit outside, especially since the photos show at least 4. I was able to text the management company, Meredith Properties, and ask tell them about the chair. They offered to send someone over to "try and repair it" but it wasn't repairable so I said not to worry about it. They didn't offer to bring us any other chairs. Overall, like I said, it was a nice trip, just not exactly 100% what was expected, or as promised. With being in a pandemic, I really would have liked to have the cleaning done more thoroughly.

Overall it was a nice getaway. 3 of the beds were dirty with dark hairs and crumbs in the sheets. The stairs were filthy and have not been cleaned in a long time. None of the couch recliners work. And no salt or pepper or any kind of condiments or seasoning in the house. The tv volume didn’t work until we finally got a guy to come out and fix it. The house is nice and roomy once we cleaned it, we liked it. The views are fantastic.

Great place for 2 families to share for a "pod vacation." Nice place with good access to the lake, and a quick drive to the ocean.

We loved this place. Beautiful view and nice location. The only thing we wished was that the beds had been better as we have a couple of family members with back issues :-)

Had a great stay at this house. The house itself was great, spacious, bright, and clean with a great view and lake front access. Our only problem was how steep the hill is to get to the water, dock and boathouse. It’s a big liability issue. Everyone in my party is young and fit and even we struggled to get up and down the hill particularly the final “drop” by the water. A simple stair case could fix this. Besides this issue, we had a great stay.

We've been renting homes on Devil's Lake for years & this was best one. Easy for elderly folks to get in, good floor plan. Bring your own everything, some rentals have a few left behind but I called night b4 & advised to bring it all, from all condiments, spices, to extra TP and hand soap for Kitchen & dish soap. Never found the automatic dishwasher pods so did everything by hand. Consider removing corner table thing, took up lake viewing space. We rearranged so it became a catch all against rhe TV wall. Overall, WE LOVED IT!

what can I say, where else can you have lake sports and beach/ocean activities only 4 minutes apart? My kids absolutely loved being right on the water and the covered boat slip proved the setting from many fun activities. Plenty of room in the house and well maintained. The "neighborhood" is adorable and one of a kind.
