De locatie met prachtige uitzicht over het water, het vriendelijke personeel

Wij hadden de bungalow aan het water die wel wat klein was kwa ruimte maar het uitzicht maakte veel goed. De douche had maar een klein straaltje water.

Staff, easy access, easy check in

I had a very pleasant stay at la Madriguera. The hotel is located a bit outside the town, which is why its very calm at night. From my room I had a great view over the lake and the mountains. The staff was very helpful and nice.

I loved the warm welcome and treatment I received by Sandra from the front desk. She assisted me with booking a tour and was incredibly kind and helpful as I was traveling alone and this was my first time in Guatape. The views from the hotel were amazing and my room and bathroom were clean and tidy. I would absolutely stay there again!

This place was incredible! The view from the common space and the rooms is so beautiful. My friend and I literally felt like home, thanks to the generous staff. Let's say that Mia, the adooorable cat, added something to it as well ;) You can rent kayaks or paddleboards directly at the hotel: it's worth doing it!

The staff is fantastic. The location is minutes walk to town. Very safe.

This night they had a band for a party. The music was until midnight. It is not a regular occurrence so I forgave. The only part is paying. They want cash and Bancolombia bank transfer. It made paying the 1/2 they required very difficult. Money wire transfers. Waiting for confirmations. I was 100% not thrilled with the payment process

the mattress of the bed was quite old. when you order a granola bowl you get cornflakes with flavoured yoghurt. the better option I would say is a selection of the eggs with some sides. but these are just minor things. we had a fantastic stay!

I think I got the worst room in the property and in my entire stay in Colombia, although I paid more or less the same price every night anywhere else and the standards were much higher. First of all the bed was totally uncomfortable - mattress sinking in the bed with a metal bar in the middle. Nightmare. The bathroom has a bit of mould, took 10min for the hot water, no net in the shower window, in the evening plenty of insects are coming in. The room was noisy - in the night you could hear everything from the possessions nearby (some loud conversations) and in the morning like 7ish first construction works started. At a certain point at 8am a gardener started looking through my open window. The room has literally no equipment - a cold white bulb, bed and built in closet. Not even a bed lamp for reading (since there is no TV, which for that price was a standard in Colombia). No coffee for breakfast - pay extra. And the worst attitude came at the end, as I checked out and wanted to hang out in the garden for two hours before my bus was leaving - I was told by staff that gardens belong to better rooms (and although nobody was there, as it was checkout time) I was told off to be there. There is better and chealer accommodation in Guatape.

We were amazed by the warm welcome of the receptionists and the incredible view of our bedroom. The place is ideally located, not too close from the center which allows a unique view on Guatapé and La Piedra.
