The unit was clean, spacious , well stocked and nicely decorated. Very pleasant to be inside and on the porch. The location is great in terms of convenience, proximity to the north and south of the island, walkable to shops and hotels and dining even without a car. The small issues are traffic sounds, long flight of stairs to second floor if you gave mobility issues and the fact that right across the street is a huge white dust wall that completely blocks the view of the beach that was put up in anticipation of a major construction project that fell through some time ago and is now just an unsightly thing blocking the whole view. Overall I would stay there again because of the great value and convenient location. . .

The hosts were great to work and the condo was quite nice. We really liked the location in Kapa'a. The condo was very clean, comfortable and quaint. My only critique would be only 1 hot tub out of 3 was working at the hotel. All 3 pools were working There also some lights out (not in the condo). Thanks for being great hosts!

Bob and Heidi were amazing! The condo was a great home base for us while exploring Kauai. A great central location and the kitchen was great for cooking breakfast before heading out. Bob and Heidi were so accommodating when we weren't sure if we were even going to be able to come because of Covid restrictions. Thanks for an amazing time and we hope to be back soon!

Kapaa is a nice place, shopping is close, the Plantation Hole site is quiet. Great appartment, as described by Home Away . All utilities in place, but some need repair. When we arrived we found a note above the kitchen sink that water supply does not work and will be repaired soon. We stayed 7 nights, there was no repair, not even a visit by a technician. Troublesome, because there is no dish cleaner in the appartment. Outside facilities (pool, wirlpool, grill) were maintained well. Downside: There is a huge construction site (?) between the appartment block and the beach front. It is shielded with a very high and long worn-down wooden fence and other shields, and it really looks terrible. No work seems to go on, which means this sight might remain there for some while. Check-in is strictly enforced to 16:00. So if your plane arrives at 11 a.m. you have to see how you kill a few hours. Too bad, because check-in personell told us that the appartment would be ready, they just are not allowed to let us in before 16:00 sharply.

Great property, and great quiet location! Central location, you can drive north or south and be in different climates.

The location was good as it was midway between the north and south shores, so one could explore both. The pool was nice also and the ocean could be seen from the lanai. The only thing that we thought needs attention is the bed frame. It has a lip around it that sticks out about 4" beyond the mattress on all sides creating a bit of a hazard.

Our stay was ok. Centrally located, with a short walk to the beach. No direct view of beach, air conditioner could not keep up with heat, inside was 80 with exception of bedroom. Daily pruning and mowing. Clean pool.

We stayed here 4/7/2019-4/15/2019 and originally booked it because it was the cheapest condo available in the area. Sometimes cheapest isn't best, but in this case, we were very happy . The condo was in a great location. Near the pool, a supermarket, and several very good restaurants. It was also easy to get on the main road and equidistant from Poipu and Hanalei, which was important for us since we spend a lot of time exploring the island. The condo itself was clean and had all the amenities we needed for cooking. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was great (I run really hot!) and not as noisy as previous people have mentioned. The lanai overlooks the pool, and was nice and large. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and the owner was even kind enough to extend our check out time by 4 hours since we had a very late flight.

The unit is very clean and modern looking. It has everything you need to enjoy a fun Hawaiian vacation.

This condo is a short walk down a path to the seaside. It's too rough to swim right there, but beautiful and relaxing, uncrowded, and perfect for walks in the morning and evening or anytime. Grocery stores are a short walk away, as are churches, restaurants, bicycle rentals. There was all kinds of lawn chairs, coolers, boogy boards, backpacks, scuba gear, beach towels in the condo. It is clean, very comfortable, a/c in the bedroom which we never needed, great pools and hot tubs, no bugs. There is a reception desk to pick up your keys, plenty of parking, soap, paper products, condiments. I congratulated myself for picking a very good one. If the bed is too firm, use the comforters for toppers and put the fitted sheet over them. It worked great for us.

The grounds are very nice and very well kept.

The condo is very big and comfortable, with lots of extras we enjoyed. The Plantation Hale is conveniently located close to the airport, shopping, beaches and activities. We had great time exploring the amazing nature Kauai can offer.The weather was very good and we spent quality and enjoyable time at the beach. Also, the helicopter tour was wonderful. Overall - great vacation!

We found the condo to be updated, well furnished and comfortable. The owner was great about responding to our questions quickly prior to our arrival. The location is nice for several reasons. It is centrally located on the island, which makes traveling around the island more convenient. There are restaurants and a market within walking distance of the condo, which was also convenient. It is not a large condo, but perfect for two people. We found the price to be very reasonable for how nice the condo was. There is no washer/dryer in the condo itself, but within the building there is a washer/dryer that was easy to find and use. The only drawback was there was no central air, rather an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. It was rather noisy, but after a couple of nights of getting used to it, there wasn't an issue. After a couple of days, the bedroom air conditioner did cool down the living room as well. The condo faces the pool area which gives a nice view. The pools were very nice. Overall, it was a great experience staying in this condo and Kapaa.

The unit itself was well equipped. It had all the kitchen supplies, beach supplies including towels and chairs. The complex had nice pools, hot tubs and BBQ grill. The bedroom has ac which is nice, otherwise it'd be too hot at night in the bedroom. The location was a few minutes walk to a beach although we were told it's not a good swimming beach, but those were only a few mins drive away. The location is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Also a good location if you're going g to the north and want to be able to get to the south or waimea area as it's about halfway between the two. Overall very happy with our choice.

This is a very nice condo in a very convenient location. We were very pleased with the overall appearance, location, cleanliness, amenities, and proximity to the ocean. The grounds are well kept and the grounds keepers responded immediately to any problems. We had one issue with the condo that was resolved, and the owner went above and beyond to rectify the situation. The air conditioning unit is on the loud side, and is located in the bedroom, but it has no problem cooling the condo. The condo is located a only a few miles away from the airport, Walmart, and Costco, and there is a Safeway about half a mile to the north. It is within about an hour and a half of anywhere you can drive on the island, making every location a day trip. The beach that can be seen from the patio is beautiful and not suitable for swimming(like many of the beaches on Kaua'i), but there are swim/snorkeling beaches within a mile or two in each direction. We mostly made our meals in the very well equipped kitchen, so we cannot comment on the local restaurants. This is a great condo. We really enjoyed our stay, and we would recommend this property to anyone.
