Nothing, except it was a little remote

If you are looking for an experience like no other, if you want to enjoy the nature, if you want to meet amazing people, eat amazing food and experience the best hospitality - you have to come here! We were driving through southern France and this is a place that we will remember always. It was not just an accommodation, it was so much more. Tania and Andy are the heart of this place. They really care about their guests. Thank you for being a big part of our journey through France! A big recommendation for this place!

With a daunting amount of hard work, Tania and Andy have created a truly unique lodging and guest experience. My husband and I really enjoyed hearing their story while we marveled at their energy and diligence in attending to every detail, from the mind-boggling task of restoring the stone walls and wooden beams of the old barn to Andy’s hand-crafted wrought iron furniture and decor to Tania’s sumptuous breakfast offerings and delicious fresh grape juice. We highly recommend L'Ombre du Tilleul for anyone looking to spend time relaxing in rural southwestern France. Their spot is just 36 km from Le Gouffre de Padirac, one of the highlights of our month-long trip and a totally-unusual chasm we might have missed had Tania not been immediately looking out for us by checking to see if there was a closure on the Friday I had thought we could/would visit.

Nothing

It is somewhat disappointing to be aware upon leaving that nothing in the following three weeks will match the experience of that one day in the shade of the lime tree. That was what it felt like to leave the place on the second day of our vacation. We were welcomed like friends, had an extraordinary evening and felt we left friends the next morning. The sheer beauty and the charm of the lovely cottages in the hills between the Dordogne and the Lot is one thing. It is quite another to fill the place with the warmth and atmosphere that reaches hearts. Thank you for that, Tania and Andy/Sean. We will definitely come back. This is not a threat. But still, you might want to reconsider Uta's suggestion (two options) that I backed up with a rather sharp argument.

We discovered this small lovely B&B by accident. It’s one the most romantic and beautiful places on earth. Fascinating traditional stone buildings completely renovated by the owners themselves into a luxurious bed and breakfast. Surrounded by stunning and peaceful hilly countryside and a lake which is great for fishing. Not far from major attractions and historic villages but at the same time far away from any touristic masses. Food and service by the owners Tania and Andy are superb.

Everything was perfect

Everything ! Tania and Andy are the most beautiful couple and superb hosts. The food is the best ever and the renovated barn is modern inside but respects the lovely old building. Impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed, air conditioning for hot nights and heating for cold. Really helpful guiding us to tourist attractions. What a find! Highly recommend.
