We LOVE this house - and plan to return! From the pictures, we thought it may be too elegant for children 5-9 years old - but it is beautifully decorated AND relaxed and comfortable. Owners were super responsive to questions and needs. Kitchen was well stocked with great appliances. LOVED the pool! Highly recommend

The hosts were communicative and accommodating. We found the house interior to be jaw dropping, the pool was well enjoyed each afternoon, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Hoping to stay again in the future!

Upon arrival to this exceptionally nice place by the island tram we were treated to a feast for the eyes with every step through this home. Great gathering spots, great bunk house balcony set up that is sure to thrill any child under the age of 35. The pool an hot tub were certainly a hit, especially when viewing the quality of the putters from the nearby green. Add to that a full home sound system made social time with all more inclusive to every square in of the spread out floor plan. With master bedrooms on opposite ends of the house this Gem was a true getaway for a family with adult kids, grandchildren or anyone that wants to be together but still wants their space. Warning: Close the blinds in the Master Bedroom when unclothed, the foursome on the green will never erase that image from their brains. Sorry Ladies… :)

My family and me had the best visit on bald head and absolutely loved the house. It is beautiful, clean, and well stocked. Having a heated pool and a hot tub while it was cold and rainy was such a plus!!! We had the BEST time! Thanks again! We’ll be back!

Incredible property! Huge mansion! Great location, close to everything. Lovely view of the eighth green. Watching the stars at night with no city lights was wonderful. Expansive deck entire length of the back of house. So Much room for everyone. Will definitely rent again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

The property was beautiful. Having a pool was an amazing amenity, especially during COVID. The house was well equipped, down to the dollhouse and books in every nook, and a great kitchen set up. The owners were great to work with and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Can’t wait to come back!

Our group of 12 (three families, six kids) had an amazing stay at Sherry and Dave's home. There was more than enough space to spread out for conversations, coffee, and for the kids to play. The kitchen, beach towels and beach gear were well stocked and the rooms were comfortable. The top floor bedroom doesn't have any blinds or curtains, so it made for some early risers in that room, but the room itself was comfortable and had a great view from its private deck. Sherry and Dave were incredibly responsive from the time we booked through our entire stay. They are attentive and welcoming hosts and were very flexible with our plans. The photos of the outdoor space don't do it justice - the pool. hot tub, deck space, and grill area are phenomenal and the nicest of any home we've seen on BHI in our eight years of vacationing there!

We had a great time at the house. It was conducive to a family gathering but large enough to allow everyone to have their own space. The hot tub and pool were a fantastic gathering point at the end of the day.

We had a great time at this home! It was the perfect size for our group and it was easy to get anywhere we needed. The only issue we found was that there was no propane tank for the outdoor grill, but we were able to use the charcoal grill.

With international travel all but out of the question, my family was seeking a safe, convenient escape which we all so desperately needed this year. Bald Head Island has been a favorite stateside destination of ours for many years and was the obvious choice when settling on a location. When looking for the right property, "A Hole in One" hit ALL the marks! Perfect location (check!), spacious, comfortable, & beautifully decorated (double check!), private pool/spa and every comfort of home we'd ever need (triple check!). David & Sherry responded to our many questions almost immediately and were beyond helpful throughout our entire stay. With so much uncertainly this year - from COVID to hurricane season and everything in between - it gave us tremendous peace of mind to be able to communicate directly with David & Sherry & talk through some of our worries. We had a wonderful week at "A Hole in One". The weather cooperated, the island was safe & quiet, and the property exceeded expectations in every way. Thank you, David & Sherry, for everything! We'll be back.

This was a return trip to the island for us, but first time in this home. It truly is a beautiful home on a very quiet part of the island! Spacious for our group of 10. Outdoor spaces and pool area are amazing and absolutely surpassed our expectations. This was our first stay with a home that has a security camera/nest camera in the pool area and while it took us a bit to get comfortable with it, we quickly forgot it was there. David and Sherry were great hosts, accommodated not only rescheduling due to Covid, but also keeping us updated and informed of the hurricane we experienced while there! Kitchen was stocked with everything we could have asked for and more!

We could not have been more thrilled with our stay at A Hole in One. Sherry and David were wonderful, very accomodating and helpful. It was a first time on the island for some of the family and it was an over the top experience. The location of the home was perfect, very private, but a great view of the green. The house came with everything we needed! The pool made a HUGE difference for the kids, they were on cloud 9 all week. We will absolutely be back and would give David and Sherry a 10 for their hospitality!

A Hole in One is a marvelous and magnificent property!! It totally exceeded our expectations. It takes approximately 65 steps to walk from one end of the first floor to the other end-SO spacious!! We originally were concerned it was decorated a little too formal for our taste but all furnishings were extremely comfortable and had easy to roll dining chairs to accommodate our 2 families and very comfy beds. The pool/ hot tub and grill area is perfection!! They should update the outdoor photos! The current photos don’t show how beautiful the grounds are! There are very few private pools on BHI-if you desire a pool, this is the property for you. There is really no need to go to the BHI or Shoals Club to swim. Don’t forget to bring extra bug spray as the property pool and close golf course pond attracts bugs at night. The owners were incredibly friendly and responsive when we had a quick question. A Hole in One is conveniently located near the marina and the beautiful beach access #7 and #8. We will be back!
