View from the apartment, quite area

This apartment has an amazing view from the balcony, which allows you to see a beautiful sunset every night. There’s also a pizza place around the corner which is super convenient. The location is great to explore lake como and surroundings. Close to Varenna and east to reach Bellagio by boat. Alice was very friendly and her apartment was very comfortable. It’s quite big, is nicely decorated and also has quite some kitchen utensils. The price is also very fair. Would highly recommend staying here!

The fact that the airco can only be controlled by Alice with her phone made it sometimes a bit awkward. You don’t want to keep texting her about turning it on/off since you don’t want to bother her so much. So if possible I would recommend to add a remote for in the house.

- furnishing, size and arrangement of the flat were great - quiet, beautiful view but far away from the lake - closed and safe parking - cleanness and modern furniture

Negatives: - the hostess wasn’t there when we arrived (was travelling) - no registration and no checking of personal data - the person in charge of “welcoming” us could only speak Italian and though we would be 2, not 4 - consequently: there were bed linen and towels for only 2 persons and additional ones were only brough the day after arrival for the other 2 persons - the accommodation was very hot when we arrived - they had just turned on the AC; probably the flat had been out of use for days before our arrival - the flat only cooled down by the end of our stay and because of the rainy weather - the AC was remote controlled; the hostess said on WhatsApp they normally switched it on 2/day but could switch it on if we asked her to. She only did it once. After that she didn’t even read my messages and so we were forced to suffer the heat. - there wasn’t any dish soap; only 1 roll of toiler paper for 5 days and 4 persons - there were very few pots and pans and utensils making cooking quite difficult - no extra bin bags and very small bins - no information as to where garbage should be thrown out, and we couldn’t find such a place either - the fridge ridiculously small especially the freezer - the fridge was hardly working: was cooling very badly - no hand soap in the bathroom, no dish soap in the kitchen so we had to buy both - there was nothing to mop up the bathroom floor with-->dangerous - the convertible couch was unsuitable for 2 adults, so one of them had to sleep on the floor in turns and even had to use own blankets - the glasses in the doors rattled when we closed them and the doors were difficult to close - on day 3, the boiler started leaking which the hostess promised she would do the next day but she didn’t
