This place is a diamond in the ruff! From booking the trip until the moment we left the property, our hosts were truly amazing! The property is like a secret garden and off the busy beaten path. From the tranquility of the birds in the morning to the beautiful sunsets just a few steps down the road we could not have asked for a better place to stay! Loved the location! After arriving, we parked our rental car, and walked everywhere (my legs are telling me about it now, LOL). The house was as described, plenty of room for the two of us, and clean. The owner stopped to visit a time or two, and provided some asked for info about local places to eat. The weather didn't really cooperate, but, not much any of us can do about that! If we make it back that way, will definitely check to see if this is available. I did wish for a pencil or pen in the house, as I would have written in the guest book if there had been!

My son and I stayed here for a short father/son trip. Jibber the owner is easy to deal with, accommodating and very knowledgeable of the area so good for local recommendations. The property is pretty unique with a nice common garden area. Plants are abundant and the bird feeders attract a lot of birds. The space itself consists of a small room with a twin bed, living/dining/kitchen area with a fold out couch and a large bathroom area. The kitchen has most everything you need if you want to prepare meals in house. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella etc. are provided. This is not the place for you if you are looking for luxury but it you are looking for a comfortable and quiet stay conveniently located, keep this one in mind.

Title says it all. I've stayed in other places on the island but this will always be my first choice. If you're into wind sports (kite, windsurf, winging), you'll appreciate the owners and the large size of the property.

This place was clean and well cared for. The owner was easy to work with. The place is quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Perfect for 2 people. Had everything we needed and then some. Would highly recommend!

Owner was very responsive and helpful. The home is cozy and perfect for a couples getaway. We brought the boat down and were able to park my truck and boat side by side in the lot, unhitched, so that was a huge plus. Cold bedroom and a hot shower!! Boat launches are nearby and it's close to restaurants and grocery. I would stay again!

Inexpensive, conveniently located, Jibber was friendly with a local perspective on restaurants and services. Just what we needed.

This was a great place. Owner was very nice. It was in walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit. It was very neat and clean.

This place was the absolute perfect beach getaway. It looked exactly as it did in the pictures, and was actually bigger than expected! Jibber was a very friendly and accommodating host. We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back!

When we had a question, the host replied promptly. Jibber was a very pleasant and gracious host. When one guest accidently locked the bathroom door from the inside, Jibber came to the rescue. We greatly appreciated the two new red beach chairs and the small beach umbrella. It helped reduce what we packed. The beautiful garden and the sea breeze made sitting outside a joy. And Jibber's wife kindly have us to plants from the garden, which we have already planted. I talked-up the hammock, so we were all a bit disappointed that it was torn by the previous guests, but we understood. The BBQ grill is a small tabletop grill and perhaps the description should be more clear about that because it wasn't large enough to grill the amount of food we intended to grill, but the kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked yummy food. We hope the next guests take care of and appreciate the iron skillet like we did. The one window AC unit in the bedroom works great. We appreciated the fan to help push the cool air from the bedroom into the den, kitchen and bathroom. We were mostly comfortable, but there were times when it got a bit warm in the bathroom. Perhaps a second fan might be sufficient. Overall, we had a great visit and the tropical hideway at Jibberville was very good for us for a short stay and on short notice. I would stay again.

It was located on the bay side of the island, which was very close to restaurants, a gas station, a grocery store and a liquor store on the main roads, and also a really easy walk (or drive) to the beach. It has a fully functional kitchen with all appliances in the listing and cooking utensils like knives, spatulas, cutting boards, etc. making this a very cost effective stay if you plan to prepare some of your own meals. Jibber offers visitors a beach umbrella, beach chairs and towels to use so we didn't need to worry about rentals or anything for the beach. I’m confident that the location and amenities of this listing elevated the experience of our trip. I will recommend this listing to anyone in future. Thanks again Jibber!

Such a magical place! The house and the smaller apartment are cute and cozy. Stayed in both. Such a wonderful place to see the sun go down into the bay. Comfy beds, great kitchen space for cooking and grilling out front with the catch of the day or fresh gulf shrimp! Just off the main drag so not to hear too much noise and enjoy the sounds of crashing waves.

We loved the property! In particular the beautifully landscaped yard! I loved listening to the geckos chirp and the wind whispering through the palm leaves. See if you can spot the anole chameleons and brown tree lizards. Beat the heck out of a sterile hotel room. Kiskadee flycatchers and hummingbirds too.
