Bienvenue au Camp Tamworth, notre maison de 3 chambres à coucher, 1 1/2 salle de bain au Cap située sur plus de 3 acres de terrain le long de la magnifique rivière Bearcamp. Nous pouvons accueillir confortablement 8 personnes. Nous offrons une maison pour animaux de compagnie avec un enclos pour chiens clôturé accessible depuis le porche arrière. Il y a une terrasse enveloppante avec beaucoup de soleil si vous voulez juste passer du temps à la maison et écouter la rivière. This place was absolutely perfect for our family of 10. It had everything we needed, and the owner was so helpful and responsive. Beautiful home with an amazing river view-truly a hidden gem. The back porch was my favorite spot to be, and the dogs loved the large pen next to the river.
Located close to many great restaurants, swimming spots, and coffee shops!
We have rented many great places before, but this was my favorite by far, and the owner is so helpful-he made our stay great and helped with all questions we had. Hope to book this place for years to come! 5 stars!

Clean. Very comfortable mattresses. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Grill worked great. Close to lots of attractions and things to do. Fishing in the river on the property was awesome!
Loved, loved, loved falling asleep to the sounds of the rushing river. Very peaceful location. Owner/host was very attentive, quick and thorough in answering questions. We would love to go back for a longer stay next year.

This property was perfect for our short stay. It is secluded in the best way; you have your space/ privacy, but also the comfort of neighbors nearby. The house has its little quirks, but I wouldn’t think that anyone would have their experience altered as a result. The pictures of the deck don’t do it justice. We spent much of our mornings and nights there. Bring some string lights and you’ll feel like you’re in a little outdoor oasis especially with that river in the background. The house and property are rightfully dog-friendly — ours is a 15 year old Lab, and he had a blast! Last but not least, I could not end this review without mention of the owner, Jeff. In the best way, I have never worked with such an informative, attentive, and just plain nice property owner, and I’ve done this a lot over the years. He even checked in with me during the stay because we were there when the Great Flood of summer 2023 took place. Overall a solid yet affordable option, especially if you are trying to bring a pup along!

My family and golden retriever loved our stay by the river! Jeff was easy to reach and over accommodating. The home was cozy and clean. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Nice fire pit, the deck by the river was a great place to sit back and relax. Location was good about 30 min to n Conway or 30 min to Laconia. Fun time for all,

We wanted a last minute, family ski trip getaway and needed to find a place where we could take the dogs. We found this beautiful house that could accommodate my husband and I, my adult son, my adult, daughter, and my seven year old son, as well as our two large dogs and their crates. The house has a wonderful fenced in area for the dogs to easily go in and out on their own and was the perfect size for all of us to fit comfortably. Having one and a half bathrooms was great and the beds were super comfortable. Plenty of parking and the sound of the River put everyone right to sleep!
Only 25 minutes to King Pine ski resort which is an awesome place for families to ski, snowboard or enjoy snow tubing! Lots of great restaurants nearby with super friendly people. Highly recommend for your next family getaway!!

What a great spot! Loved the convenient location and the house was toasty warm when we arrived. Also loved the sound of the river behind the house.. and the house itself had everything.. blankets, games, all supplies we could ever want even Apple TV. Bonus is the fenced in area for the dog, she loved exploring out there. Would stay again, thank you!

We loved this property. Back porch with attatched fenced in dog area was convenient for hanging out by the river while keeping our dog safe. The access to the river was slightly steep but very close. The water was a little too low right now to float but there was a great area behind the house to sit and relax with your feet in the water and enjoy the surrounding nature. Nice updated kitchen was a bonus! And AC! All in all a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Summer birthday weekend
Jeff the house was awesome.! The dogs absolutely loved the water. Very difficult to get in the water for an adult but the dogs had no problem. My suggestion is some kind of path with steps down to the water. We never waded in the water even with the 99 degree temps because it was too difficult to enter.
The air conditioning was so great. Our #1 A+ thing since we were in the middle of a heat wave. Clean and spacious, with all amenities available. Plenty of towels and linens. Beds were very comfortable. We have family in the area and plan on returning. Thanks Jeff.

Peaceful
We really enjoyed the house and area of New Hampshire. The kitchen has been updated from the pictures on the site, and is very nice. The dog pen is large and directly accessible from the rear deck, fully enclosed and secure with no leash required for that last "outside" trip before bed.

House was stocked with the supplies you dont think of paper products, food storage etc. Only reason it wasnt a 5 star was there was some small cleanliness concerns, and for a house that sleeps 8 there are only 4 chairs for the table just wished it had folding chairs so the whole family could be around the table.

we did try and clean the grill but it was way to dirty and we didn't have the right tools to clean it. so we didn't use it.

He is very responsive and happy to share his home. Our kids played in the stream for hours. We were able to do many day trips to various locations. An absolutely wonderful stay!

Memorial Day Weekend 2021
Wonderful property! The house was very clean with fresh linens and ample comfortable beds. Kitchen is beautiful (updated since picture online) with ample and quality provisions.
The showstopper of the house is the deck along the river. Our dogs loved the fenced in dog park that is accessible through deck.
Despite the rain we had an enjoyable weekend. House has a big screen tv (which we couldn’t quite figure out the remotes) and lots of board games which we played and had a really fun time (better than watching tv!)
Looking forward to a return visit...can’t imagine that deck in the ☀️!

Fantastic house, wonderful location for family getaway!
We had an awesome week at Camp Tamworth and will definitely return! Jeff was very helpful and hospitable, we felt right at home staying here with our children and dog. The house was very private, extremely comfortable and clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, and all linens and towels were supplied. We had coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the river, what a fantastic way to start the day! Perfect location to relax, and centrally located to many great places to explore. Thanks again Jeff!

We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was fully stocked. They supplied all linens. The beds were very comfortable. The place was clean. You could hear the river everyday from inside the house. The deck overlooks the river. The only thing I would have liked was an actual walkway / stairs to the river. A short walk down the river there are several beautiful spots with waterfalls. Very quiet! Felt relaxed the whole time. My brother and his wife visit for the day. He spotted a bear cub and a silver fox. If you like crows, which I do... they are in the local trees and you can hear their chatter daily. Love it! Thanks for a great experience!

Perfect Retreat for the White Mountains
We stayed here with our two grown sons while visiting family in the area and doing lots of mountain climbing. It was perfect! We will definitely be seeking it out again for our next trip to New Hampshire. It had everything we needed. There was more than enough room, and the key elements for comfort - like kitchen utensils, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and comfortable beds - were all there. The BEST attribute though is the porch overlooking the river. We enjoyed many hours there chatting over drinks and watching birds. It is totally secluded and beautiful. The little town of Tamworth is very convenient for accessing the White Mountains. It also has a very good Farmer's Market on Saturdays. We hiked Boulder Loop, Mt. Hedgehog, Red Hill, Rattlesnake, Five Finger Point, and almost made it to the top of Washington! Bear Camp Pond is just down the road to cool off, and we went on a delightful boat trip on Squam Lake run by an outfit called Local Expeditions. If you've never been to this part of NH, you need to treat yourself and go!

Great family vacation spot with privacy!
House was beautiful and clean right on the river. We brought tubes and went tubing in the rapids. Close to Center Harbor and Conway. Jeff the owner was extremely helpful. Great restaurants and very close to White Lake state park which was pristine and offered canoe, paddle board and kayak rentals. We would definitely stay here again. We saw a cute black bear swimming in the river almost every morning.

Perfect Getaway Spot
This house was the perfect retreat for our friends and dog over a long weekend. The house was clean, comfortable, remote from neighbors, and on a beautiful spot on the river that felt like we had it all to ourselves. Jim was very hospitable as well. Already looking forward to booking it again next summer!

Wonderful House!
I honestly cannot say enough nice things about this home! It was very comfortable for myself, my husband, our baby and our basset hound. The dog run is right off the porch, which made it super easy to let our dog in and out of the house. Also, we have stayed in "dog friendly" houses before and in those houses there was a strong "dog" smell, but this house smelled great!
The kitchen was large, fully stocked and easy to cook in. We also enjoyed the gas grill on the deck several times during our stay. The beds were VERY comfortable and all linens and towels were clean and white.
Extra bonus was all of the child safety options around the house (easy to remove for the week, if you don't need them). This house is children friendly and was great for our 1.5 year old.
20 mins from the Meredith grocery store, about 2 miles from Bearcamp Pond (great for kids!) and about 15 mins from Chocorua Lake (great views and crystal clear water). Also, the owner provides a Tamworth permit for your car (which is needed at private beaches and Bearcamp Pond), it is a nice bonus!
We have stayed in 2 other houses in Tamworth, but this is our favorite house and we plan to stay there again next year!

Great place!
This property is was great for our bike week stay. Remote for relaxing yet only a nice 30 min ride south to Meredith and Weirs Beach. The river off the deck was hypnotizing and relaxing. Plenty of privacy except for the occasional hikers along the path on the other side of the river. The home was pretty clean (an 8.5 on a scale of 10) and very cozy.
35 minutes or so north is North Conway which has everything you need from Walmart to large grocery stores to nightlife. White mountain driving / site-seeing is also a short drive away. Internet access worked well at the home, although the satellite TV could be iffy at times working about 90+% of the time. Bring mosquito repellant though, as they were VERY active around dusk. Kitchen is full stocked with everything you could need. The owner is super helpful and reachable if there are any problems. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Just like home
The cabin was beautifully situated in a quieter area on a good size lot by the brook. It was beautiful hearing the brook throughout the stay and exploring the area. The cabin was well equipped with everything needed and really felt like home. It had comfortable beds, cable tv and a fully stocked kitchen. We did not want to leave. The owner was very helpful also. It has a lovely deck out the back with gorgeous views of the brook and is a nice quiet place to stay read a book or hang out. The cabin was perfectly situated in a more quieter area, away from the hustle and bustle and real touristy areas. It was still easily accessible to all the major attractions - within a 30 min drive. Loved the whole week and really did not want to leave.

We had an outstanding time at the cabin in Tamworth. It was a perfect way to get away from the city and relax for a few days. Everything was as advertised and Jeff, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions. Highly recommended!

Great Stay In Tamworth, NH
My wife and I stayed in this cabin on the Bearcamp River the month of August. We have done a lot of traveling and stayed in some great places; however, this was the best. The atmosphere was homey and the deck on the riverside occupied most of our time. My brother and his wife came over to visit twice from Thorton, NH and loved the place. It was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. Jeff was super and very helpful with any of our needs. There are many things to do in that area and the month just flew by. If we ever go back to Tamworth we will definately try to stay at this cabin. There is hiking, fishing and great restaurants close by. We caught trout out of the river. If you come here, be sure to check out Jake's restaurant on HWY 16 south of Ossipee. We will recommend it to anyone planing a trip to New Hampshire.

Escape from the City
My husband and I have stayed at this property several times and adore it. It is ideal for detox from the noise of the city. The house is set on a good size lot back from the road and affords a lot of privacy. The house is well maintained and always clean upon our arrival. The property is used by the owners so there are many homey touches and conveniences. The shower has great water pressure, The back deck is a great place to have a morning coffee or late afternoon snack or bbq with the gurgling of the river in the background. Just so you don't feel totally cut off, there is satellite tv and wireless internet/phone. Cell signal is good, at least with my carrier AT&T.
The location is approximately half an hour south of North Conway where there are plenty of tourist spots to explore. It is nice to have a "base camp" from which to explore and return home to. We have taken many day trips visiting the surrounding areas and white mountains. My husband loves to photograph and never seems to run out of options no matter the season.
The nearest "big" grocery market is about 20 minutes away, but there is a corner store for convenience items less than a mile down the road.
The owners Jeff and Wendi are easy to communicate with and very responsive as well.
I would recommend this property for either a romantic escape or get away with the family.
