Very convenient location to 101 and local amenities. It is very clean with all the essentials. The bed is comfortable and we are able to have good sleep.

This hotel is an attempt at making a modern experience out of an old building. Other users wrote about the odd-looking entrance and the hotel being located at the 5th floor, but for the price I was expecting way better inside. My room was facing a construction site, which added to the very noisy street in the very noisy neighborhood, luckily at least I didn't have to deal with unruly guests. The problem is that sound insulation from outside is non-existent: The old windows don't close well, and walls are thin enough (I assume thermal insulation must also be a disaster). Beds are comfortable but pillows are not. Cleaning could be improved: I found dirt and hair around the bed and rust in the shower. No toilet paper hanger in the tiny bathroom. No glasses provided in the bathroom, luckily they provided me two coffee mugs and I was alone, so I used one for the bathroom. No instant coffee bags provided in the room, luckily you can get them for free at the reception desk - but I had to ask. The lamp in the room is hanging too low, I was constantly bumping my head on it. The curtain had some broken hooks, so it was not hanging well. The mirror in the room is not fixed to the wall, but standing on a weird, unstable cabinet on wheels that was acting also as a coat hanger and umbrella holder - provided you turn it so the mirror is facing the wall! Finally, the WiFi was terrible. I connected to a range extender that was just outside my door (the hotel staff apparently didn't even know it existed, they only gave me access credentials for another, weaker WiFi, I noticed the extender and connected to it by myself) but despite the apparently strong signal the connection was very poor. I understand this is very close to Taipei 101, embassies, convention center etc, but frankly I felt this place is way overpriced.

Not much choices for food, but walkable distance to a few shopping malls for restaurants and food court. My room is beside the main road, not so quiet at midnight. Overall still satisfied, recommended to friends!
