The apartment is the perfect location. Just a short walk to all the shops, but a spot on view of both the harbor and the sea. Rob and Esme were very kind and accommodating

What a lovely small contained annex, perfect for what we wanted for our weeks stay, very clean, cosy and comfortable the view from the balcony is amazing and having the sky light open listening to the waves and seagulls whilst in bed was lovely already missing that!..Esme and Rob are very friendly and on hand with anything that you require..the flowers and gifts were very thoughtful especially the extra for our anniversary how kind..sadly didnt see any seals. Excellent place to stay whilst visiting Mousehole with plenty of places close by to visit, snd lovely places to eat. One day we will be back!

Island Watch fulfilled all of our expectations. From the superb sea view to the facilities indoors, it was everything we could have hoped for. Well equipped, (the freebies were very much appreciated!), free parking was a real bonus, location perfect, what more can we say. Our enquiries were answered promptly and courteously. Easy to see that we will be recommmending Island Watch to others.

Lovely position, nicely furnished but if you are a large or tall person this might not be the property for you.

Very cosy flat ideal for me being on my own. Parking space a bonus although suitable for a small car. Very comfy bed and large attic bedroom with sloping ceilings, found kitchen a little small for comfort but provided everything you need. Fore St restaurant best one I've been to in Cornwall. View from lounge wonderful as well as the balcony. Steps were easily manageable. Thank you for the goodies and help.

From the time we walked in to the time we left superb. The time we arrived and opened the door to the living room you are greeted with the view through the patio doors of the wonderful view out to the sea. Every time we left and went back the view was and is still stunning. We are so pleased we found this little gem. Excellent is an understatement of this wonderful part of Cornwall. You are positioned in a spot that has easy access to so much other magnificent Cornwall countryside. My advice is do not miss the chance to stay at this apartment. Amazing does not do it justice. Thank you.

I stayed in the appaetment in December and it was so lovely being able to look straight out to sea from the sofa even when it was cold outside! Really beautiful area, lovely walks right out the front door. Flat has everything you need and is cosy & comfy even though it is very very tiny. Only tiny complaint is the shower isn't very good. Thanks for a great stay.

Great location accommodation is small but balcony is great with sea views.
Restaurant recommendations were good especially the Bakehouse in Penzance. Only disappointment was 2ForeStreet. Food good but experience not great.
Overall we had a restful break visiting many local areas during our stay.

A lovely little property with a good hotel next door and a shoreline path that takes 2 minutes into Mousehole. AND parking!

We had a marvellous time in Mousehole and Island View is exactly what it says on the information. My only criticism is that the local information needs updating.

We (husband-wife) have been fortunate to found Esme & Rob's place, Island Watch, for our first Cornish holiday. We booked pretty last moment and only this one week was available for booking. The website description of the little apartment is wonderful, however, we got many surprises when we entered. First of all, even before the check-in, which was very easy, the communication from the owner's was superb with all the details about traveling and restaurants which came very handy. The car parking was a huge plus for us. As we entered the apartment living area, the warmly decorated rooms were very much inviting and the view of the sea was a pure bliss. We spent much quiet time enjoying this view from living room and balcony, and reading from their wonderful book collection. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine, flowers, coffee, milk and some Cornish fist snack - a truly warm touch from the owners. The attic room was good enough for us, the pictures on the website do not do justice to how much space is there in the attic. The kitchen was fully equipped(no grill, but that was not a problem for us). We did do small cooking for some of the dinners. This place felt like our home away from home, and we enjoyed our Cornish trip so much additionally because we knew every evening we would come back to this cosy heaven. Mousehole is a quaint fishing village and a convenient spot for traveling the South-West Cornwall. It has wonderful bus communication with Penzance. The village has pretty good restaurants. WE tried the following restaurants and all of them were excellent - 2 Fore Street in Mousehole (for lunch and dinner), The Bridge in Newlyn (for dinner), Land's end hotel for lunch, Polpeor Cafe at Lizard Point for lunch (this has to be out top pick), and cafes at St. Michael Mounts and at Minack Theatre for lunch. 2 Fore Street is also a wonderful choice. Both Polpeor and 2 Fore Street are fish and seafood lovers' heaven. With all these amazing experiences we received a great news about job when we were in Island Watch which made this place very lucky for us. Esme's mum came to visit us, and she is such a nice lady. We got to know some history from her as well. We would definitely go back to Cornwall and Island Watch next year in summer. Thank you very much Esme and Rob for all your hospitalities.

A perfect place for 2. Small but had everything we needed, with a great view of the sea. With Parking right outside the property, it made a great base to explore.

Wow, what a fantastic place. Although rather small, it's perfect, everything you need, outdoor space and an amazing view. Nothing better than sitting on the balcony in the sun, a glass of vino, seal watching. The village is set in a lovely traditional harbour with good eateries and is a short stroll from the apartment. An added bonus is allocated parking on site which is normally unheard of in these places. We will definately recommend and will return again.

Cosy retreat
We loved our stay, the accommodation is compact but has all you need for a relaxing holiday. As can be seen from the photos it has a small balcony with a wonderful view. It has a car parking space which is compact but we managed to fit our Kia Sportage in the yellow box, having a car parking space in Mousehole is a real bonus. The wi fi was good as the mobile signal can be weak.
It’s just a 5 minute stroll to the lovely Mousehole harbour. There is a bus stop just up from the property which takes you to Penzance this takes about 20 minutes and runs every 20-30 minutes. From there you can take open top busses to Lands end and St Ives etc. A day ticket costs just £5 and you can use concession passes if you have them.
Due to the compact nature and steep stairs it may not be suitable if you have mobility issues. However it suited us just fine and we loved our stay there.

Amazing stay the views were great and Rob and Esme were so helpful with local knowledge
the property is small but perfectly formed once you get used to the ceiling in the bedroom. The views from the balcony were amazing and you will never tire of watching the boats come in and out and the seals on the rocks.

Thanks Rob, Esme & family, we had a great stay at Island Watch at the end of July. It is a small apartment but was perfect for a weeks holiday for the 2 of us. The bedroom had more room than we expected with a small sofa up there and plenty of room for suitcases, etc. Lovely views out of the apartment and we spotted the seals on a few occasions from the balcony. The apartment had everything we needed and the welcome package was a lovely touch with wine, biscuits, milk, coffee and lovely flowers. We ate out most days and you definitely need to book in advance. We enjoyed exploring around Mousehole and many surrounding areas. Beautiful stretches of coastline all around and as keen walkers we love the routes on the SW Coastal path. Lamorna cove to Porthcurno was a lovely stretch and also near Pendeen Lighthouse. We visited Marazion, St Michael's mount, Porthcurno, Porthleven, Kynance, Lizard, St Ives whilst down here too. Loads to do in this lovely part of the country. We enjoyed meals at 2 Fore St, Ship Inn, Hole deli, Old Coastguard, Kings Arms at Paul and Lamorna Wink during our stay. All very different but we had excellent food everywhere we went. Would recommend a stay here...a great base in a lovely location from which to go off exploring, where you can really enjoy the Cornish way of life. Lovely, thanks again.

Magical apartment with stunning views
My partner and I had a super relaxing week in this beautiful little flat. We loved everything about Mousehole and the apartment completely surpassed expectations. It’s a real gem in one of the most quaint and beautiful English towns I think we’ve ever visited. I don’t think the website photos do it justice. We loved sitting on the balcony reading and taking in the view and going to sleep listening to the sounds of the waves. We were blessed with brilliant sunshine so became regulars at the local beaches with stunning views and crystal clear water. The apartment is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. It’s just a few minutes walk to the centre of Mousehole with beach and ice cream shops, restaurants and a deli called Holefoods which does an amazing seafood paella. Esme was incredibly friendly and gave us lots of good recommendations, as well as generous welcome gifts and freshly baked buns on my birthday. Overall a perfect holiday and we hope to be back again soon.
