I got a whole wing of the house, with French window opening onto my own patio with a view of a lake. I was able to dine al fresco in the summer sun. Then the TV had iPlayer and Netflix (remember to sign out as well as in folks) and I had my own lounge to luxuriate in. I even got a visit from the cat. The owner even bought copies of my books! The perfect venue for a visiting author.

No complaints, a lovely place to stay, and lovely hosts.

Everything was just perfect. The location, scenery and view was stunning. The room was so cosy, clean and comfortable- like a home from home. The hosts gave us a warm and friendly welcome and went over and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay! Just wish we had booked to stay longer- an absolute gem of a place! Thankyou Pamela and Anthony!😊

The place was in a good location and clean and tidy. We wanted quiet and that’s what we got.

The website needs updating. Items mentioned on the website were not there I.e microwave,washing machine,bath. Site shows walk to lake but not on site. Also bathroom/shower was tiny.

Everything, the lounge area, the outside area, being able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake. Being able to cook breakfast and sit and look at the view of the lake! truly special place

Fab hosts with a super location that has a picture postcard view from it’s cosy comfy sitting area in front of the log burner. Good bed and a nice hot shower with lots of little extra’s that all add up to a superb stay.

Breakfast was continental style self prepared in self contained accommodation which worked really well. . Location was beautiful, peaceful and picturesque .Hosts Pamela and Anthony very welcoming and friendly . The accommodation was really comfortable and inviting.

Firstly our room totally exceeded our expectation. Fantastic lake view from the sitting room, very homely decor throughout and a wood burning stove set up ready to light. Bed very comfortable. The kitchen facilities and breakfast options were super. We had a selection of cereals, eggs, bread, yoghurts and fresh fruit. It was lovely to have freshly ground coffee and a cafetière, the icing on the cake! Pamela and Anthony were delightful and friendly hosts.

it started with a fabulous welcome from the owners and everything that followed was equally as pleasing. Fantastic self catering facility with a comfortable lounge area and the bedroom was decorated beautifully with a generous and comfortable bed. we got to use the outside jacuzzi bath with a view down to the lake. we will be back at this beautiful place hosted by beautiful people, Pamela & Anthony have gone the extra mile to make this a great experience for their guests- well done guys

Breakfast was a little disappointing as we thought it would be a cooked breakfast. As a seasoned traveller I may have mis read the listing, but the Knife and Fork logo would suggest a cooked breakfast not a continental.

Amazing place. Didn't realise how quiet the world could be! Could turn me into a vegetarian looking out the window looking at all the cows and their very sweet calves! Rooms were spotless, hosts incredibly friendly and helpful. Sad we were only there for one night.
