Loved the view and the breakfast. The rooms very extremely clean and the bathroom was very modern! What a great stay - we really loved it!! Thank you to the whole team :)

Only one blanket for two people. Check out at 10am which is a bit early.

Staff was super friendly. Room was very clean. View from the balcony was stunning.

Firstly and the most unhappy about was the access to the facility. It was super narrow and hairpin bends road, only one car was able to pass - very dangerous. Staff should have warned all travelers with cars about the condition and should have suggested to go from the top village. We were shocked by the condition (almost scratched our car) in the night. Secondly, the window for person-checkin is very short - only 17-19h. Outside the window. We had to do very lengthy self online check-in, and follow complicated instructions to access to the room, which was super inconvenient when we were in travel without good internet connection. Also, room noise insulation is very bad. I could hear neighbor room voice. Especially when they had a lot of kids, forget about the idea to enjoy quiet Lake Como. Only one restaurant available by walk. Everything else needs a car, and complex of bad driving road condition. It was really unpleasant. For the price of the room and what we got in value, I would have preferred to pay more to stay in the village center of Varenna.

Cosy and quiet place to spend relaxing holidays far from touristic noise and rush. Personel extremely friendly and helpful. The view from tarace is amazing and "honesty bar" very handy (and affordable) just on the site. Breakfasts rich and delicious. Rooms clean and spacious.

Nothing as long as you enjoy driving narrow and curved roads which anyway you won't avoid coming to Varenna.

The room was tidy, and comfortable. Everyone was nice and helpful. The breakfast was tasty az the sight from our room was amazing.

It is relatively far with publick transport.

It’s in the nature and very beautiful and romantic 🥰 It’s placed in Varenna, which is very special and it’s easy to take the ferry to Bellagio and other cities. We really enjoyed the walk from Crotto Di Gittana to Varenna centre while enjoying the nature The host Valentina is very professional and know what is needed for a memorable stay. She made the breakfast table up for us outside for lake view in open space (it was in the spring). As we live in Denmark and don’t mind it’s a little chilly when it’s so beautiful! Valentina helped with the taxi, Thank You!

If you don’t bring the car then make sure to book a taxi from the station to the hotel. There is only 5 taxis in the area, therefore they are very busy and can not come if you don’t make an advanced booking. Call the day before and make an appointment! The distance from Hotel to train station is walkable if you have no problems with walking, but when you have the luggage or if it’s dark it’s not suitable to walk(because you have to pass some tunnels). Also you should take the walk by the water, because the road through the hills are too far.

Valentina was so accommodating. she went out of her way to make sure everything went well. we had a lovely breakfast on the balcony over looking lake como, the bed was comfortable, the view was amazing, the breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Even when I accidentally managed to short circuit the lights as a fuse went out in my hairdryer the night before our day trip to Milan, Valentina helped to provide an adapter for us and another hair dryer too which was waiting for us outside our room in the early hours of the morning so that we could leave on time. she was always contactable by WhatsApp too if there was ever anything she could do to help, she did. she went above and beyond to help us and cannot thank her more. on our last day there were some ants as they migrate in the spring time (you are surrounded by trees and nature so not at all the hotels fault - just natural and this would be the case everywhere in Como) but Valentina got us some ant spray and gave us a hoover so we could get rid of them which was so helpful. it is also a short drive from the ferry station (about 5-10 minutes) and you can walk it if you want too. she also gave us numbers of lots of taxi companies including private taxis which were cheaper. we would also like to thank Vince who drove us around most of the time and was available to take us to Milan twice which saved us lots of money than other taxis in the area.

the bed was a little creaky though but overall an excellent stay and would 100% recommend this.

Great view of Lake Como from the room. Very helpful staff - there was a landslide that took out the train tracks while we were there and the host helped us get to our next destination. Very quiet area. Non-touristy area. Great breakfast with plenty of Italian and American options. You get the same views as staying in Bellagio at a fraction of the price.

If you don't rent a car you will need to take a taxi into Varenna each day. The host helps a lot with this so it isn't a huge issue.
