Lovely comfortable old hotel with attentive and friendly staff

Das Zimmer war wirklich liebevoll eingerichtet und hatte alles, was man braucht. Es war sehr sauber und die schönen alten Möbel haben für den richtigen Charme gesorgt. Das gesamte Haus war sehr gemütlich und Familiär eingerichtet. Man hatte das Gefühl, man sei bei jemandem zu Besuch:) Das Personal war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch das Frühstück war lecker und ausreichend und das Konzept, dass man selber entscheiden kann wie man was zubereitet haben möchte, fanden wir sehr gut. Außerdem war die Lage toll. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Das einzige was man eventuell bemängeln könnte, war die Dusche. Die wurde nämlich durch ein sehr merkwürdiges Gerät bedient, dass sehr laut und alt war.

Lovely scenic location overlooking harbour and estery. Ideal location very close to moan town centre shops and restaraunts.

Great bar man Malcom, really quaint, breakfast was included and service from staff and quality of produce was great. They operate on a breakfast pre tick list to allow for the kitchen to prep and have all items you require ready. Very efficient and effective way of working. Thanks all. Would definitely like to stop again !

Received a warm welcome. Bedrooms were comfortable, traditional decor, beds comfy and rooms very clean.

Location was excellent for everything in the town. Stunning Views from the rooms. Great Breakfast and lovely little bar all topped off with the friendliest staff.

The place is a little tired and really needs a lick of paint and, unfortunately, the cleaning is a little suspect too (although linen/towels were clean etc the rooms / bathrooms were just a little too 'grubby'). Didn't spoil our stay though!

Truly a fine establishment. Very good breakfast, both continental and British. Excellent eggs, tasty bacon, good sausages. The room was large, exceptionally quiet (despite being in the centre of Rye), comfy, gorgeous view, overall a delight. The staff is kind and friendly. We cannot wait to be back.

This hotel is lovely. I have stayed here before and found it exactly the same. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with a lovely view. Doves on the balcony in the morning were an extra bonus!!! It is superb value for money at all levels with a location that is excellent for Rye and all the magic it has to offer. Breakfast was excellent …I am a vegan and the staff went over backwards to accomodate me….which they did successfully. It is very well run and managed….I look forward to my next stay.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. Loved Chris who works at reception. He was the best. So warm, funny and friendly. We've been telling all our family and friends how much we loved our stay here.

Location and architecture.

We have stayed here many times and everything has always been fine. Our room was a good size, with views over Rye, and the River Rother. The full English breakfast was very good, and there was a choice of cereals, yoghurt and continental breakfast too.

We were blown away by this lovely hotel ... perfectly situated for visiting the town a few minutes walk away. Though we had a small room by choice for two nights, it was big enough by far ... it had everything we needed and nothing we didn't ... the view over the rooftops out to the countryside was pleasant ... it was very quiet ... the carpet was soft ... the bed was very comfortable ... kettle, big mugs and tea / coffee / milk were provided ... the breakfast was wonderful with the best poached eggs we've ever had. Chris on reception and Lia in the dining room did everything to make us welcome and feel at home. Heartily recommend a stay here

The bathroom amenities shower gel soap etc could have been more generous, but saved on wastage, and sufficed.

Love this place, staff lovely, food delicious, great spot lovely views.

We've stayed once before in a suite which was really great, this time stayed in a small double room was ok but we were above the front door and noise from other rooms disturbed us during the night. And the pigeons nesting outside the window was really noisy from very early. We would stay again just not this room
