Sehr gepflegtes Gebäudeensemble, traditionsreiches (aber nicht antiquiertes) Hotel in alter Klosteranlage unmittelbar am Seeufer. Geschmackvoll, dezent und wertig, die Zimmer sind "ohne Kitsch und Pomp" eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Vorraum und kleinem Balkon zum See (Deluxe DZ), sehr sehr angenehm! Das gilt auch für das Frühstück sowie die abendliche Speisekarte in der Dominikanerstube. Gekocht wird modern und regional, sehr frisch, sehr gute Qualität. Auch für uns als Vegetarier gab es ein sehr gutes Angebot. Bügeleisen im Zimmer und vieles mehr, im Sommer sicher auch für einen mehrtätigen Aufenthalt sehr gut geeignet, dann ist schließlich auch das Seebad gut nutzbar. Unserem Hund wurden eine Decke und zwei Näpfe, außerdem "Leckerlis" zur Verfügung gestellt. Abends durfte sie mit in die Dominikanerstube, sehr nett, da wir gerade erst angereist waren. Für das Frühstück hat man uns dann einen Tisch in der Bar gedeckt, da man verständlicherweise keinen Hund an das Frühstücksbuffet lassen wollte.
50,00 € für den Hund pro Tag ist überdurchschnittlich, das haben wir noch nicht einmal in der Schweiz zahlen müssen.

Enjoyed the restaurant and the bar. The service was excellent, especially the bartender "Buddy". The location couldn't have been better...wonderful view of the lake and easy walking distance to downtown.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices. Location is ideal. Very close to town and train station. The terrace by the lake is beautiful and relaxing. Room is very spacious and clean. Everything is wonderful. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location. Helpful staff who catered to your needs. Wonderful lake view breakfast with omelettes made to order. Nice room with a big walk-in closet for storing suitcases. Mini-bar is inclusive (beer, water, juice, chocolate). Was able to rent decent city bikes at the hotel for €6. Would recommend.
Too big of chairs in room made it difficult to maneuver near the window.

A really beautiful hotel. Room was great, the gardens were excellent, pleasant staff, great barkeepers, excellent breakfast until 11am. One of he best short holidays ever and the hotel is one of the major reasons for that.
Outdoor parking was a little expensive at €26 a day but when the Hotel is that good you can turn a blind eye.

The building, an old monastery, is impressive! Check out the paintings in the cloister!
We had two mattresses in a nice double bed with small canopy; both were different (one soft, the other hard). Only at the end of our stay did I find out that I could have asked to have these mattresses changed! .... learnt something for next time!

a surprise sweet for dinner was prior planned and ordered prepared BUT never delivered to the dining table.
a bottle of champagne and glasses to be in the room were NOT in place as a surprise.
both omissions were reported and a manager resolved my complaints in a satisfactory manner

Nice room overall and location for a stay in Konstanz. Really happy with the dog friendly, this was the best dog friendly hotel I've stayed so far.
There was a smell from the canal or old pipes that got into the room. We could manage to make it less strong ourselves but only a note some rooms may have this issie.

Location is excellent, view from breakfast beautiful, breakfast itself had a great selection and staff was nice.
Room was completely outdated and in need of renovation. Bed was made into a “double” with a piece of foam mattress between 2 single beds. I guess a “view” can also mean a view into other people’s hotel rooms. Way too expensive (300€/night) for at least that room, the other renovated rooms might be nicer.

1 the room, like so many now is too dark
2 a five star hotel should have ability to feed all of the guests staying at the hotel. We could neither eat the night we arrived because it was fully booked. We arrived at 4pm. The second night, we observed that the menu was the same.
