Comfortable beds, clean towels. The reception staff tried to accommodate us as best they could. We were first put in the adjacent building. Utterly ugly, poorly kept and noisy as hell. The top floor has private apartments above and they were moving chairs and furniture until 22 hrs. So we were moved in the hotel. Little to like about the property to be totally honest. The staff tries to work with what they have.
Almost everything. Noisy, badly kept except for the beds.

The Gran Duca is truely a grand old hotel, however the rooms are very comfortable and modern. It is located in the heart of Livorno and was fantastic for our overnight stay. They even gave us a free upgrade!

Quiet location, closer to cruise ship docking than other key locations but still a great spot
We were upgraded to a balcony room which was lovely. Air con worked great and easily controllable. Good walk-in shower. Would stay again !

Extremely convenient for catching ferry to Corsica.
15 min walk, turn tight out of hotel, over bridge and in middle of bridge, go down steps/slope, left at bottom and into the port.
Very helpful gentleman on reception who gave us clear directions.
Lovely fish restaurants nearby. Just turn right before aforementioned bridge.
Nice clean spacious room with window overlooking bustling port.

We have visited this hotel annually during 40 years. Its location, staff, rooms and service is excellent.
Parking facilities close to the hotel have been more and more difficult year by year. But we have always managed to find a solution thanks to the helfull staff.

Location was good as we arrived with a cruise ship, although not easy to walk directly to it.
Close to downtown so easy to walk to all areas (older town, shopping ,dining. market
Property is a bit dated but nice people very helpful (Luggage room, getting a taxi, good restaurant)

location near ferry port. tried to find a lunch restaurant on the Monday and after walking around Livorno all morning came back to hotel and had a superb seafood lunch.

Location is perfect to explore Livorno. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Valentina. It is in an historic building which gives it charm and as is expected, the rooms are small but had a refrigerator. The breakfast was great with friendly staff. Would stay here again. We took the boat canal tour around Livorno and would recommend it.
