Prijzig. Wou je een expresso bij het ontbijt, moest je bijbetalen. Dit terwijl het al £37 pond was voor het ontbijt! Ook werd het buffet niet aangevuld. Niet de koeken, de kaas…
Ook wordt er op de factuur £20 per dag fooi aangerekend én fooi voor een goed doel…

We had a short but sweet stay at the Egerton House Hotel. Absolutely everything was perfect, from check-in to check-out. The staff was professional, very welcoming, and helpful in answering any questions or giving recommendations. They really could not have been any nicer, from the front desk, to the bar, to the breakfast room. The breakfast was wonderful. There was plenty of choice with the cold items, and a nice choice of hot entrees, all delicious. The room was super comfortable, loved the bedding and all of the amenities the room and bath provided. The location was great, within walking distance of the Albert and Victoria Museum, Hyde Park, Harrod's and other shopping, as well as restaurants. We cannot wait to come back and stay for a long duration. The Egerton House deserves all the positive reviews and accolades it has received. Excellent!!!

Firstly we had yet another wonderful stay and would recommend staying at this hotel. The room was comfortable, staff were friendly and we were made to feel very welcomed.
However we noticed a few changes since our last visit and something you need to be aware about if you are thinking about booking.
1) if you have a debit card, on check in your debit card will be charged/deducted with £100 per night - so make sure you have enough funds to accommodate this?
2) on check out you will be charged £20.00 per night for a contribution to recognise back of house staff! Now whilst I was not expecting this (because I booked on booking.com and there is nothing in the T&Cs about this) and I was told it was optional. It is extremely difficult to ask for it to be removed when other guests are checking out next to you and your bill has already been printed out with it added onto it.
I am unsure as to why you need to contribute to staffs salaries when you book a hotel, you expect that the staff are paid by the owner/company that employ them? So again please make sure that you have enough funds to accommodate this additional hidden charge!!
Make sure breakfast is included in your booking because it will cost an additional £45.00. The breakfast was lovely but could have been hotter, as it was luke warm. My husband and I ordered the full English breakfast but even though the menu said it included black pudding, I think the chef didn't get the memo as it was not included or added onto our plate!

Five stars are an understatement for the experience you get at the Egerton House. It has been thus far our best stay in London. The hotel building is GORGEOUS, a Victorian town house beautifully decorated and equipped with all amenities one can need. The staff’s expertise in hospitality just shines through in every single detail. All is perfectly taken care of from arrival until check out, the service is outstanding, food is INCREDIBLE (the fresh homemade shortbreads being served in the room are to die for, let along the freshly baked scones), you will not want to leave, trust me. Our stay at the Egerton House elevated our expectations going forward. Million thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcomed, specially to Giulia, Jacques, Benjamin, Lili, and the lovely lady with blond hair that served us food at the drawing room. Everyone is an example of professionalism in hospitality, pretty much taken to the next level. We hope to be back soon

Nice location and clearly great staff and service.
I do not agree in being asked to pay a 20% tip for service in a 5 star hotel , it was discretionary but I had to ask for it to be removed from my bill. Excellent service should be baked in. I hope the staff, who are excellent, are well remunerated by their employer. It pretty much ruined my stay. Maybe I am old fashioned.

everything……. the service, Thomas on reception was so helpful, beautifully decorated boutique hotel, small and intimate. location is spot on for shopping and sightseeing. comfort second to none, breakfast was superb with a very large menu. great value for money for a 5 star hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

Fabulous first class experience. stunning hotel, amazing staff, beautiful luxurious rooms & two minutes walk from Harrods, yet in a quiet road. From checking in everything was picture perfect. I would highly recommend this wonderful home from home.

- nose from upstairs (it did stop after ringing…I just don’t get careless people)
- told no one was next door, but found out that there was someone…they lied. turns out apparently doesn’t count I guess if it’s a worker. it’s still a person!!
- food didn’t get to room for several minutes (Deliveroo order…just sitting around)
- lack of snacks in room (they could have got vegan popcorn and tonic they could have replaced it)
- didn’t remove all none vegan items, had hot chocolate powder in room with milk
- kept on asking about my dog…over and over. it got very annoying
- slow check out, did a lot of pointless conversation.
- still waiting to see if fries are cooked separately…never got back to my partner. so poor!
- call wasn’t answered, all calls should be answered in room
- apparently room takes two hours to clean. was waiting around. went in the room…shouldn’t take two hours by the look of the size of the room and what would be done. I totally understand I can’t go in until people are out of the room. I get its 12pm onwards. but two hours waiting after that. not needed.
- they chose an awful car park to have your car taken to. don’t go there! it’s terrible.
- heard workers talking. then they noticed I was there and went shhh shhh. very odd. talking about my partner apparently driving around. he doesn’t need to park where you want!
