Beautiful setting stunning grounds
Bar area in the library uninviting needs an upgrade

Veldig flott sted og fint uteområde.
Vanskelig å få bord i restauranten.

Really nice Mannor stay, with some tasty afternoon tea, beautiful gardens and nature around
Reatraurants are a bit too expensive for what it its. (we went to the casual one) and £20 for a meh.. pizza or £20 for barely average burger is no bueno.

Beautiful hotel and grounds
Price of drinks...was charged £16.50 for a glass of Malbec...ridiculous

Stunning setting, lovely swimming pool, comfy rooms - gorgeous atrium bar.

Fabulous, luxurious estate with beautiful gardens, set in a beautiful and calm area.
While the hotel was amazing, the staff and the food in either of the restaurants was quite average (with above average prices). Quite long wait for the waiters as well despite the hotel being almost empty on a Monday evening.

Breakfast was ok. Diner was moderate.
The bedroom was old and simple. And it was very noisy when the toilets were flushed.
One day they didn’t clean the room.

Excellent value for money, hosted the dog in our room type and the grounds are first class! The building itself is stunning and clearly a lot has been spent on keeping the high standards for this hotel. Staff were delightful! I’ve stayed in many of the world’s best hotels but would return here again. Also, gym was great!
2.0
Food was very good but the room was awful, window didn’t close, needed decoration, paper thin walls and all a bit grim.
The window in the room would not close and let in a massive draft, decoration was poor, whole thing looked tired. Walls were very thin and you could hear everything around you. Spa facilities were poor.

I am upset because I cant get a reciept for this stay, Devere say I need to get it from booking.com and booking.com say i need to get it from Devere. The upshot is I've spent over £250 and can't get a reciept from anyone. This is unacceptable

we have stayed a few times here and love the gardens and Main hotel
This time we were in a room next to a stairwell and we’re obviously surrounded by wedding guests who were coming from reception event at various times during the evening making it difficult to sleep . Plus we were woken by small children crying at 4am . More thought should have been made to the location of our room .
Also bathroom was looking very tired needed renovation.

Love the relaxing atmosphere at the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely to sit with a drink outside in the garden during the day and evening. Check in and check out was quick. Breakfast was very good.
Would like more selection of evening meals in the main restaurant. There were only 7 choices on there. We ate in the atrium as more choice on there to our taste .

The facility was very nice but the employees seemed a little overwhelmed or inexperienced and the dinner service was extremely slow even for a sandwich or pizza.
Let us open windows during extremely hot weather.

It was a hotel on our way home from Cornwall. Just myself and my 8 year old daughter.
We where looking forward to it as the website looks so good. We unfortunately where left very disappointed.
The breakfast was relatively acceptable the following day and waning a nice room.
We where asked to book the pool which of course having my 8 year old with me I made sure I did and also booked for the following day.. The lady on the spa reception was very rude and direct and turned us away until am hour later. We went in the pool but it was absolutely packed. We couldn't so much as swim. It was a nightmare
We then went for dinner. After being ignored for roughly half an hour I had to go to the reception and ask why I was being ignored. Apparently you need to have a man with you in order to be served or taken seriously at this hotel.
It was just awful. There was one lady on the main reception when we arrive who was lovely but that's pretty much where it ended.
The hotel room was hot with a window. Bolted shut. It was old and tired looking and there was no chance of room service. This place is ridiculously over charged.

The main building is stunning. As are the grounds. The staff were excellent, helpful and really accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Steaks were pretty yum too.
Our room at the back was pretty grubby, especially the bathroom. Stain toilet and sink overflow which needed a good scrub. Previous occupants hair. Rusting / corroding bath and taps. Frayed carpet and carpet felt mucky. Just needs an overhaul asap.

Beautiful building and grounds. Makes you feel like you are in a castle.
A room booking includes access to the indoor heated swimming pool and spa pool but you have to book your time. Food was excellent.
No AC but a Dyson fan was provided in the room.

Beautiful building and grounds.
Staff were excellent
Our room was large but stuffy. I wouldn’t want to stay there in really hot weather as no air conditioning.
Not much natural light either but of course it’s an old building.
Room needs updating.
Other rooms might be much better. We were based very far from reception.

The accommodation was really nice, a very impressive estate. The room was quite basic but I guess you get what you pay for which was fair enough. The gardens were nice as well although I was expecting it to be much bigger. We had the impression that it's a very big estate. We had in mind to go for long walks but there's not really anywhere to go. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay, the estate is gorgeous, and the staff is friendly, especially this guy Alex who served us in the Atrium bar on the 1st night and then outside in the garden + the Teepee. He was professional and went above and beyond to make our dinner as enjoyable as possible.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Although you have lots of variety, we didn't find it very yummy. Some of the cooked options had a funny taste which kind of left us with not a lot of options to try. Also, although not the hotel's fault, there were lots of wasps in the garden which prevented us from actually enjoying the day in the garden.

the location and the venue is stunning! the orangery (which the wedding was held) was amazing. the breakfast room was also very good.
the staff is rude. Grace at the reception was very rude and not helpful. we arrived and did normal routine of checking in. showed my confirmation email and booking. she said its not be paid. i said it has and showed her the proof. she then asked for my bank statement. again showed the proof. she still proceeded to say it hasnt been paid when ive given her all the proof that needed to be showed. we had to get the manager to get it sorted and within 5 mins it was sorted.
this is the welcome we are expecting especially she is the first point of call when welcoming guests.

Beautiful building, stunning surroundings. Dog friendly. Friendly receptionists. Meal at Bistro, once it arrived. Good shower in room.
Noisy room - music from wedding party, laundry trolleys being wheeled past window overnight and early morning (6am).
Meal order at Bistro not put through. Long wait- over 50mins. No offer of bill reduction or free drink. Staff not too concerned.

The venue was delightful and really easy to get to. Having the pool, yoga and gym facilities was fabulous.
We weren't able to get in to the room until after 4 15 as it wasn't ready.
It was also really busy for breakfast so we were told we could only have the table for 30 mins.
Maybe visiting at the weekend is not the best time to visit?

Not enough staff to cope with volume of guests. Very slow service, noisy rooms as large parties about

The room was nice and we enjoyed the pool.
The staff were not very friendly or showed great customer service. The hotel and breakfast were not as good as we expected for the money. The main issue was not a single member of staff were happy to help or friendly. We even had our key turned off half way through.
