Spotlessly clean and comfortable room, lovely bed and great shower. Great location for beach and town. Excellent breakfast. The 102 bus which picks up outside the pub will take you on a sightseeing tour of country and sea to Rye, which is worth a trip. Note: empty bladder required as journey is about 1.5 hours over bumpy roads, and if you have to get off it will be in the middle of nowhere! Staff at the Red Lion are excellent, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This was a perfect location as my family live opposite in the High Street. Room was clean & comfortable. Easily accessible, & could park right outside entrance to B & B. Shower was hot & refreshing.
We did mention to landlord that radiator did not work in bathroom, did not cause us a problem on this occasion.

Convoluted way of taking breakfast orders (had to be done servers way), very confusing and not right when meals arrived.

The staff were brilliant - very friendly and welcoming, particularly Mark, who checked us in.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. There was tea and coffee making facilities, which we used.
The location is good for the high street, and ok for the beach.
I know the pub can't manage this, but the traffic noise meant we were unable to sleep past about 7:30am, even on a Sunday. A fan was provided, but the room really required the window to be open, meaning the noise did invade.
It was a lot better if the window was shut.
It must be noted it was quite warm when we stayed, and this won't be the case all the time.

The Red Lion staff were all absolutely lovely, we were welcomed so warmly and generously, compared to our fellowcountrymen that was a breath of fresh air (Holland) it made us feel the Brits are amazing! It was a perfect start of our trip in the UK. The room was perfectly clean and spacious, comfy bed, fan for hot evenings. The restaurant in the Inn served great food, pleasantly light and friendly vibe.

Great location, just across the road from the high street and a short walk to the beach. The room was clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. Bathroom was also nice and clean. Double aspect windows was a nice feature making the room lovely and bright. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food was delicious and we ate both evenings in the pub and had a lovely cooked breakfast on our last morning. Parking behind the pub was also very useful.
Room was a little noisy from the road traffic due to being located on the main road and there were no nets on the windows. But neither was really a problem.

Left before breakfast. The decor of the dining area and bar was exceptional with so many details taken care of. Staff were amazingly friendly and the garden area was beautifully maintained The room and en suite were immaculate
Obviously the pub is situated on a main road so there was slight traffic noise.

Friendly staff. Good food in the pub downstairs and nice and comfortable room. Free parking was available behind the building.

Would have been nice to have had sofa / comfy chairs in one side of bar. Could have read or played cards. And probably gad few more beers!

Excellent, I am vegetarian and had scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. My partner had full English and enjoyed it.He didn’t like the coffee though.
The ensuite was a bit tired and the window wouldn’t open. Also the flush on the loo took ages to fill up and was noisy.
