The staff are amazing. So welcoming and helpful. They do a fantastic job. The food is plentiful, beautifully cooked and presented.
We were upgraded and our room/suite was lovely with a very comfortable bed and super bathroom.
Parking was off road . The location is quiet despite being in a town.
I think its fair to say that some redecoration may be due in some areas. There we suggestions of tiredness from some of the furniture items. It's style is mixed and hard to put a finger on but at least its not old baronial. We did have an issue with the emergency lighting, it was very bright and intrusive.
Having returned following a wonderful meal in December we were disappointed in the menu choices , as the bar and a la carte menus had been merged . Despite this we had a lovely tasty meal and the attention of the staff and the ambience made up for any lack of choice.
Breakfast choice was much better and everything we had was lovely with one exception. Dried apricots were not expected and are extremely chewy and when large are not the nicest things to chew. They could have been soaked longer or cut smaller or better yet been tinned.
None of the above would prevent us from returning as all things considered its a lovely hotel and well worth a visit for a special occasion 😊

a few marks in the shower and the fridge wasn’t cleaned properly but wasn’t a massive problem was overall a nice stay.

breakfast 😩 being vegan & gluten free - the hotel did not accommodate for that, even though we told them in advance. what a wait we had! my partners eggs were rubbery. were told Manager would be in touch, but no contact

Perhaps 2 concerts in Inverness in 2 days increased the price paid. The room was very nice but lacked light due to being in the basement. Staff were courteous and very kindly offered us pastries on departure as we missed breakfast. Very nice bathroom.
Lighting in the room could be better as it’s in a basement. Disappointing that there was no milk (fresh or UHT) provided for tea and coffee.

Breakfast was absolutely lovely and exceeded expectations.
The room was clean and very comfortable
It was our wedding night and we requested a little special touch.
There was some dried petals On the bed which was nice. However, I was expecting something a little more special considering the special day and request well in advance.
For a boutique independent hotel, I expected more customer service and delivery.

The staff and food at the hotel were extremely good. We had the NYE menu and loved it all.

We have stayed here previously and it was as good as ever. The staff were wonderful, food was brilliant and the rooms lovely. We will stay again.
The rooms looked a little tired and probably need a spruce up. However it's a trivial point
